Yelp 100 Challenge 2023 #56 New location off of Preston located by Whataburger & Dicks Outlet/ Warehouse. Staff was friendly and patient while we looked over the menu to decide what we wanted to order. They kindly suggested popular food items and we didn't feel rushed. Decided on the chicken strip meal, and the deluxe sandwich meal. Both were delicious. I would recommend asking for no salt on your fries because my fries were pretty salty. To start first off their tater tots muah chefs kiss. I always get their Asian salad literally will not disappoint. It's giving texture goodnesss flavor honestly I'm about to get in my car and get one. Don't sleep on the drinks! Froze and beer are a great pair. Where this place I think wins is the variety of different chicken sandwiches you can try. And they're pretty quick with having you self order and the time it took to get food. Great if you're looking to try something other than a regular chicken sandwich. The downside is the cost adds up quick when you add a side and a drink. Which is the only bummer considering a regular chicken sandwich with both those items is less than 2/3 the cost at a drive thru. For 3 of us to eat it was over $40. At a self service place. This new location design is so beautiful, doesn't feel like a fast food place at all, and it was fairly clean (although 1/2 of the tables were not available due to not being cleaned or had trays in them). We ordered in the kiosk and that was fairly easy process. Then we got our cups and waited the 6 min timer. Or food was ready at 5 minutes and we sat excited to try it all. Fries were really good, piping hot, not too salty and the portion was super big, enough for 2 people I would say. I ordered 5 strips and they were not good. The first thing I noticed is they were barely warm, and they were also very dry and tough, breading had a good taste, but the two other factors, made these less than appetizing. Sauces, ranch and Bird Call sauce, helped with the dryness. Bird Call sauce was good, sweet and pleasant, no kick, still good. Ranch was ok, nothing extraordinary. My extra side was the Brussels sprouts, I loved the combination of flavors, spicy and sweet and the fact this side was cold, but unfortunately it had an overwhelming amount of cheese and made it so salty, it was completely inedible; tried a few times since the flavor and kick were extraordinary, but the salt level was so out of range, I couldn't eat it. Bummer as this was, the best thing on my tray. The drink offerings are great are really flavorful, something for everyone. I got a mix of lemonade with their mango juice and it was divine. Husband ordered a Chicken sandwich with blue cheese and he said it was good, coleslaw was okay, the ingredient list made it sound greater than it actually was. Service was attentive although I noticed all employees were in the back for a long while and only one very young girl was in the front. Many people coming in kept waiting for her to acknowledge them, but she was distracted, so after a while people realized that you place your own order. I feel that with this being a new franchise in TX, there should be someone greeting and briefly explaining how things work. Took us a few minutes, after placing the order to notice the screen and the cubicles where you pick the food. I also noticed that the drink/condiment station is cornered with where you pick your food and I can see how this area would be chaos if the restaurant was at capacity. They also had free play, video games and they look like fun, if that's your thing! Great makeover of former Taco Cabana location in Frisco. We ate there many time until better tacos came along in Collin county. The interior has been changed a lot along with serving hot spicy chicken. One pepper is hot enough for me. We ordered two chicken meals and one order of tater tots which was too much. I love birdcall! Me and my boyfriend found this place last December in Denver Colorado. We always thought about it and wished we had one a lot closer. Well behold!
