Another update. The original owner of "The Birdman" did a rather poor job keeping the birds away from my roof. When I called I found out that the business had been sold. Regardless the new owner did the repair work and now the birds are gone most of the time. Whatever they did worked and right now we're very happy with the service provided. Weird in terms of scheduling and stuff, but once we got everything down it only took an hour for our tech to get on the roof and get set up. If you talk to people in your neighborhood and try to get a bulk deal going, they might be amenable! Upon leaving my review of bird proof, I was contacted by its new owner, Scott, to try and make things right. He agreed that the ball was dropped and that there would need to be updated procedures put in place to inform customers the terms of their service when they hire Bird Proof. I would imagine these were simply not put in place prior to the new ownership, but I'm hopeful that there will be more transparency moving forward. Scott agreed that what went down as described in my review wasn't okay and had an appointment scheduled for the following week to have someone come out and fix the issues. The following week, Hayden, who had been the original person that sold me on the bird proofing at the beginning of this ordeal, showed up and determined that the work couldn't be completed due to some fledglings that were nested under the solar panels and that they would have to wait until they left before they could clean it out and repair it. This is fair, as I'm not trying to have birds hurt during this process. I will say that I was not too stoked on Hayden's customer service, as he never came to the door to let me know he was beginning the work, never informed me he was finished until the text I received afterwards stating why he couldn't finish, and left two boxes full of bird feces next to my trash cans plus the faulty netting for us to dispose of. Our trash can space is pretty limited and these items pretty much took all of that space for the week. We had an additional appointment scheduled afterwards where we had a new person show up, Alex, who then fixed the mesh screen under the panels and cleaned most of it, but we were still left with some nesting underneath the panels. I sent Scott a message with some photos of some work, and some additional concerns I had since we were still having issues with birds on the roof, and what I know was a TON of debris since all of our gutters were now clogged due to years of birds having access to the solar panels. I asked to have the roof cleaned since this wouldn't have been an issue had the work been done correctly back in 2023 and Scott agreed that was fair. We had another appointment set up where we had Dylan as our tech, and this was by far the best service I had throughout the entire process. Dylan was so gung-ho about doing the job right, and put up extra spikes in problem areas and cleaned everything which filled two black yard bags full. I knew the amount of debris on the roof was bad, but I didn't think it had gotten that out of hand. Dylan owned the job and I can't commend him enough for his dedication to do everything correctly and finish the job. He even cleaned off our solar panels, which was not something I had asked for, but am grateful that he did. Serious kudos here. There was a slight issue on that day, however, where a couple of tiles on the roof were damaged. Fortunately, Bird Proof has a sister roofing company, and they came and fixed the roof at no cost the next week. At the end of the day, I can finally say I'm satisfied with the work that I was hoping to get from Bird Proof from the very start. I didn't want to delete my initial review because those things happened, and I believe people have a right to know. However I can say that under the new management, these guys made things right, stayed very communicative throughout the entire process, and were open to feedback. Because of their dedication, follow through, and hard work, I believe a 5* review is appropriate, and can confidently say that under this new ownership, I would recommend Bird Proof to take care of you. read more

I have had solar panels for ten years and until now, did not have any pigeon problems. Recently, my neighbor and I have become a popular roosting spot and needed help. I began to get quotes for having my panels protected and found BirdProof to have the best rates as well and high marks for their reviews. My neighbors and I scheduled the project for the same day and Ismail did a wonderful job. It didn't take long for him to remove what was left by the birds and cover the panels. My neighbor's house is two stories and during the day, the birds usually hung out on their rooftop. So they opted for the spikes to prevent any more socializing. The spikes are practically invisible, but the birds hate them. I watched when the sun was setting and these birds kept walking the perimeter of every panel, trying to find some flaw in the mesh. It was perfectly covered so they had to go somewhere else. They are gone now and so is all that poop on my walkway. I also feel better knowing the gap under my panels is covered and will help prevent embers from getting caught under there, in case we have a fire nearby. I have peace of mind and it was a reasonable rate. I recommend them highly. read more

We had Dylan come out three days ago on Mon to give us an estimate and told him we already had two estimates, so he stayed competitive to get our business and came down $125 from his original bid, so we chose him because he could do the work immediately, and because they had a 3 year warranty where our other two estimates had a one year warranty. We also liked his good energy. He immediately went up with his ladder, netted around our solar panels then added spikes where he saw pigeon poop and where he thought they like to hang out. My husband was worried that the spikes would look ugly on the roof but it is not bad. And we haven't had a single pigeon come on our roof in the last three days, so the spikes are looking awesome to us now. We haven't been awaken in the morning from their irritating cooing, or walking around the roof, or hear them fly away when we go outside. Best of all, no bird poop landings on our concrete to clean up! We had the job done so immediately that we didn't get an invoice by the time Dylan finished the work, so we ended up calling the owner/ceo Sam B. the next day requesting the invoice be sent to our phone, and it was done within a few minutes. Bridger & Jordan of Bird Proof are top notch at what they do. We gave Bird Proof a call on Friday, had them out on the following Wednesday (today) and got our home done on the spot today. We've had an issue with pigeons for a bit now, nesting underneath panels and their falling droppings on our pool deck and into our pool. I believe in small businesses, and giving people second opportunities to redeem themselves. Smal businesses make our economy thrive and succeed; but we have given this company almost three months to fix their issues and all I've received are rude text messages or I've gotten just completely ignored. We paid $800 for them to install a mesh and spikes around the roof, and basically to bird proof the house, as in we don't want bird droppings on the cars / driveway. We advised this to them, and they were not able to complete that the first trip. No biggie. Like I said, we'll be patient. We sent photos showing our concerns showing birds chilling on the roof, on the mesh like nothing (see attached). And this is when they got upset. They started to ghost us, or just completely respond to my text messages in a very direct way. Not professional at all. We paid $800 for them to be on our roof for less than an hour and just put a mesh and spikes by the solar panels, which is like $40-$50 in materials. Anyone can do this, but of course we pay the professionals because we trust them, they have the experience, they know what the're doing. But this company is not We took care of the issue ourselves. For $20 and a ladder. Save your money, because this is NOT worth it. I wish I would have read a true honest review from another customer. See photos of conversation, their product and the birds just adding more feces to our property even though it was "guaranteed". I wish I could get my money back... EDIT: I never asked for anything free. I just asked to get what I needed. And gave plenty of chances for the business to come back and make sure we were completely satisfied. I got solar panels done from this company. Hayden and his team completed the job as they were working for my other neighbors within the same community. Within 6 months, I could hear birds chirping every morning right underneath the solar panels. I called hayden on November 1, 2023, and he told me his Sacramento guy is out of town but should come check it out within 2 weeks. 2 weeks later, I sent another text.
