I hate to post negative reviews but spending the money that I did for bird proofing and it didn't work. I have grass growing out my gutters because of all the bird poop and rain. Their work literally fell apart. I hope they can improve on their installation work and take this as criticism since I myself am a small business owner. I won't be using them anymore. I used Bird Proof to protect my solar panels from pigeons who have been roosting in many of the new homes in our development in Petaluma. Hayden responded quickly as he has to all of my neighbor's requests. Hayden explained exactly why pigeons roost under the panels the way they do and that they should leave in a few days after the work is completed. I called them and told them what I needed and price increased as I explained my needs. However when the work was done, the additional spikes I requested were not on the roof but the birds were. I was told when i called to tell them bird issue persisted that it takes 30 days for birds to stop landing on roof. After months, the birds are still on roof and Hayden is not returning my calls nor coming to remedy bird issue. Unfortunately, I would not recommend using this company. read more

I had been observing pigeons destroying my two neighbors' brand new houses for 6 months. They went under solar panels and made their nest there. Brand new tile roofs were scattered with bird drops. One hot summer Saturday morning, I observed that one of my neighbors contracted two gentlemen to clean his roof and secure his solar panels. Later during the day, I asked to talk to these two gentlemen, Jake and Cody. Despite their busy schedule, they managed to come back later in the evening to protect my roof as well. Job was very well done. A week later, I saw some pigeons trying to get to their nests under my neighbor's solar panels, but could not. As described below, they moved. Two weeks laters, I observed that pigeons moved to my other neighbor's house (not yet protected). I took pictures to show to this neighbor that I saw about 15 pigeons on his roof. They went freely under the solar panels. I recommend home owners to request help from Jake and Cody. It was a very hot summer day, but these gentlemen worked hard and performed a fine job. I hired them for Pigeon problems, sent them photos of my roof and got an estimate, when they arrived (2 brothers) they were clean and polite. The older brother look at my roof from the GROUND and advised he could tell I needed cleaning under the solar panels and the price was increased to $600. I gave them to go-ahead to put netting on the solar panels and spikes on the 40' of ridge which also was supposed to include panel cleaning. They were here less than 30 minutes, spaced the wires on the ridge so far apart I still have pigeons, hosed off the solar panels without any real cleaning; hosed off under the panels into the gutter and did not clean the gutter out afterwards, when I asked they said the rain would break it down and wash it off. Along the way the broke a motion detection solar light. When I called them on two occasions to tell them I still had pigeons on the roof, they said to WAIT because it takes a several months to work I'm still waiting some 4 months later. Totally feel scammed. read more

They removed the pigeons, cleaned and secured all 26 solar panels, and bird proofed our roof from future infestation. They also had pictures of everything they did (because I wasn't going up on the roof) and clearly explained the work they performed. I would give a 0 if I could. This guy has very poor communication skills. I had to keep reaching out to them to get information and finally an appointment and then they failed to show up or call me. When I called them 1hr after the appointment time the guy just said "oh well idk what happen or why they didn't show up. I Can reschedule you for just take you off" then finished the conversation with "later buddy" and hung up on me. Extremely unprofessional. These guys are actually from Utah based off their contact number and business insurance company and just claim to be local. Beware. read more

Bird Proof offered a great rate compared to other companies I called around. They were flexible in their schedule and got done within 10-15min. I was skeptical at first because it was so quick, but the abatement works. Before there were plenty of pigeons nesting under my panels but after they realized they couldn't go under anymore, they stopped hanging around my roof. I had a job completed by Bird Proof last October. Due to some of the extreme weather this winter, a portion of the proofing had come off my panels. Once I realized that this had happened, I contacted the company and they repaired the issue as quickly as they could. I had high hopes for this company, but unfortunately they are not reliable so they missed out on other opportunities. Although the price was good and Hayden quickly completed the job, the customer service and communication is horrible. I was spectacle about using them in the first place, but decided to take the risk. Like everyone else, I have a Pigeon issue that I thought would be resolved with netting and spikes. Hayden let me know that having both should resolve the issue and to contact him if the problem persist after a few weeks. After a month, I still heard birds on the roof so I contacted Hayden who takes weeks to respond. Finally, got a hold of him after consistently reaching out in which he advised someone will check it out. Supposedly someone came out and hopped on my neighbors roof to look, but didn't see anything. I thought maybe there is a nest up there or something but brushed it off. A few weeks later I reached out again and again after weeks he finally responds that he will see if someone could come out. To no surprise, no one has come out and I have been reaching out everyday with no response. It's been months now since the install and the problem is still unresolved. All I needed was someone to take a look so we can figure out how to resolve the issue, but this is a prime example of you get what you pay for.
