Hands down this place has 1 of my favorite sandwiches, the spinach artichoke grilled cheese. I have been to the San Antonio location also and I just love this place. We also grabbed dessert, key lime cheesecake, Mexican hot chocolate brownie, and pecan bar(all tasty) everyone that helped us was so nice. read more

I met up for coffee at Bird Bakery today. I didn't really drink any coffee, but I did have a Tropical Green Tea. I believe that it's usually served hot, but I wanted to try it cold. It was okay. I was expecting it to be a little sweeter, but I guess I could have added some sweetener to it. I also got their turkey sandwich. This had to be one of the yummiest turkey sandwiches I've ever had. The turkey was so thick and their juicy tomatoes were amazing!!! There was also some really good chips served on the side. The flavors blended perfectly. The turkey, the bread, the chips. Everything was perfect. Now let me tell you about the venue. It was so cute and adorable. I really loved the decor and the set up throughout. I think my favorite part was all the delicious sweet treats showcased through the restaurant. Overall great experience read more

Was at a charity event last weekend, all sorts of vendors with amazing food. Bird bakery was serving dessert and they had the longest line out of at least 40 vendors. i have a huge sweet tooth so went back a few times for those cupcakes. if i am ever in the area i will definitely be stopping by! read more

Very cute concept, but poor execution. I received an order from here for my birthday from a friend, and I was truly disappointed by every dessert in the order. Each item was very dry and lacked any real flavor. Specifically, do not waste your money on a brownie. I had two in my order (walnut and Mexican hot chocolate) and both were less appetizing than anything you'd find at a basic grocery store. I'm only rating it two stars because I think the cupcakes are pretty. That said, the only thing that really tasted good was the salted caramel frosting on top of one of the two cupcakes I received. I do feel bad leaving a small business such a harsh review, but I think it's worth sharing the feedback. read more

Wow guys, please cut down on the amount of sugary you put in your cupcakes and help prevent the onset of diabetes. Excess sugar, like excess salt is a cheap way to mask the flavor of mediocre food. I'll give you the benefit of doubt since I could not taste your cupcakes - my teeth hurt so much. Also Frosting was a bit too sweet for me, almost pure sugar. read more

2nd time ordering the tuna salad sandwich. Both times incorrect. 1st time there were no red onions even after specifically ordering. 2nd time no avocado after specifically ordering and being charged. Bread falling apart on both occasions. Sorry won't be ordering again. It was delivered so I can't just go to the counter. read more

I absolutely love this place! The California Turkey Club is spot on! I drive from Frisco, just to have that sandwich. Everything about Bird Bakery, from their adorable mini cupcakes to their delicious breakfast items, was a delight. I had their spinach parmesan quiche, pimiento cheese popover, and selection of cupcakes. Their carrot cake was by far the best carrot cake I've ever had (trust me, I've had a lot!) and was perfectly moist even in mini form. They packaged the cupcakes in an egg carton which was the perfect addition to their already classy and inviting aesthetic. read more

The epitome of highland park dallas haha- white ladies in pastel complement the interior. I came here for takeout- the servers were attentive and quick. Read on here that the cake they make tends to be dry so I decided to try the lemon pound cake hoping for a better texture, chocolate chip cookies which looked the best on display, and a California Turkey. I also got a hibiscus tea lemonade which looked pretty but tasted strange. The sandwich was really great and fresh. The pound cake is very dense and lemony- like it was lightly soaked in tart lemon syrup-which I actually prefer to sweet/dry/vanilla-tasting ones and the cookie was soft and chewy. Honestly a great lunch spot. I would come more often if I lived closer. read more

Sad to leave this review but they hardly had any baked goods when we arrived in the morning, my latte took about 25 minutes, the tables were dirty, and the staff seemed inexperienced and overwhelmed. When I followed up on the coffee they said they were getting lids and it would be another minute. I joked with my husband that they were going to get them Starbucks across the street - well that's what they ended up having to do! Had such high expectations but was very disappointed. read more

I look forward to finding different bakeries around my neighborhood. I am always looking for eclairs. This place was great. It had cookies, cupcakes and french pastries. It is in a great neighborhood. Not far from all kinds of shopping. The service was great although there was a few people waiting in line. And the shop was quaint and brightly decorated. read more

Charming and delicious! I love coming here early on Sunday mornings. It's quiet and I can work to soothing music. They serve this amazing pimento cheese quiche. It is the most decadent thing I eat all week. I also love any pastry with raspberries, and they make a raspberry pecan muffin that is excellent! If you love pecan pie, but not all the corn syrup goo, they make a pecan bar that fills my southern craving right up! They also serve a pecan pie, but I haven't tried that yet. The chocolate chip cookies are excellent. It's simple and clean. Order at the counter with cool seating. The presentation is lovely, and I feel I can relax here. read more

Holy moly. I can't believe I haven't written about Bird Bakery yet. Let me look back at my Favor delivery history: yup, it's filled with repeat orders from BB (like 15!). I order from here at least once a week because it's a shop that combines three of my favorite things: sandwiches, cupcakes, and coffee. I order the turkey and cheese sandwich, and it comes on seeded bread with raspberry mayo and avocados. So good. We also enjoy the chicken salad. And, I get a salted caramel cupcake. And, I get a salted caramel iced coffee or an iced cherry sencha green tea. It is consistently wonderful, and I'm saying this without having stepped foot in the actual location. read more

Not sure about the hype with this place... Upon walking in we saw what appeared to be a sample dish with crumbs and an empty mini cupcake liner abandoned on it. The display glass was grossly in need of a wipe down/cleaning from the inside. It was lined with a million crumbs in every crack and crevice. Almost as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks/maybe months! Not very visually appealing. We should have taken that as a sign to turn around and walk right out. Then a gal behind the counter put on a fake helpful tone with us. I asked if they had samples(hinting at the empty display dish) but was very abruptly told about the mini cupcakes being "a great way to try out their flavors of cupcakes". Okay fine, got a half a dozen. Cute egg carton box that they conveniently fit in. Asked her if the carrot cake was good there. Was quickly told "it is award- winning"...ooookkkaayy. Got a mini one of those. Along with 5 other flavors which will detail later. Asked again if they had samples and this time I said it looks like you did. She said they might be out. We were still looking at the case...where did she go? We thought she was looking for more samples. But lo and behold she is at the register with an impatient annoyed look on her face; waiting for us to pay and stop bothering her. Hmm...paying primo price at a ritzy cupcake strip mall bakery should deserve some out-of-this-world customer service. But no! The more we asked her questions the more annoyed she was. And the more her true, condescending nature showed itself. Super rude! So tempting to have her put back the $11+ dollars worth of 6 mini cupcakes. We decide to try the little buggers right then and there. Pretty hard to find a clean table--UNACCEPTABLE considering where this joint is located among Fendi, Hermes, etc. In the posh end of town. To make things worse, there is some guy in a white chef jacket and dark pants sitting at the barstools by the window with his behind hanging out of his pants...I believe the term is plumber's crack... Our "fantastic" customer service gal runs up to him right after tossing my receipt to me. We are looking for knives and forks to cut into the cakes. When we noticed him turning around to look at us while she is quietly bent over speaking to him. One only knows what she was saying about us while we were still in the shop. I hope and pray he is both neither the baker nor the owner. And if she is, shame on her for being a condescending jerk! Flavors we got: 1. Award-Winning Carrot--not a big fan of so I didn't try. My mom did and my sister. One liked it; one said it was okay. 2. Fresh Strawberry--didn't try. 3. Nostalgic Yellow--was so excited for this one and majorly let down. The chocolate frosting was hard and crumbly with that layer of crunch from old frosting that has been sitting out.The yellow cake was so dry it was falling apart into a million pieces. Yuck! **And the gal touted that everything was baked fresh daily--uh no! Not when the cupcakes are like that! 4. Luscious Lemon-did not try. 5. Seasonal Flavor(some elderberry liquor flavor)--not as dry as the Yellow. Had lots of elderberry flavor with a lingering liquor aftertaste. At least the frosting wasn't crunchy...meh. 6. Fresh Coconut--so disillusioned and disappointed I was not interested in trying anymore. So for 6 tiny, mediocre, old, cupcakes and paying over $11, the only thing that was worth it was the cute egg carton they were put in and the bag. Even then, overpriced! They also try to do the bakery name on wooden knives and forks like some other cupcake place. I went over to Sprinkles and got 500% better customer service and cupcakes that taste fresh and yummy. And a gift for my pup back home too. With prices that are way more reasonable for much bigger cakes. Plus, they have a rewards program. Save your dough and sanity and DO NOT go here! This place was dirty. The employees are rude. The cupcakes are not all fresh. read more

I was very excited to walk into this cute little boutique and buy some amazing cupcakes during my visit to Dallas. I didn't mind paying over $20 for a dozen mini cupcakes because I expect them to taste good.The shop itself was very cute. They had some unique items on the menu. But the cupcakes were really not good. The cake was very dry. And the icing was hard and cracked when you ate it. It also extremely sugary . I just didn't find that the flavors were very pleasing. We had an extremely pleasant visit this weekend to Bird Bakery. Our first visit and found by Yelp, we thought let's give it a go! I'm a huge fan of anything bakery:) My initial thoughts and feelings the moment we walked in, was cute, clean, open and great savory options to go with my sweet tooth. I enjoyed the Tuna Melt, Iced Chai and loved the Strawberry Chocolate cupcake my little ordered! He would only let me take a bite:) Not too sweet with the most Devine strawberry frosting. The young lady helping us was quick and super friendly. And then came Jojo. I bothered her for Togo packing and because of her we walked away with a sweatshirt(maybe 2) and my husband's jacket, we almost left behind. Jojo presented us with many options for the sweatshirt, which by the way is a must! So extremely soft. Who knew, a bakery with ultra soft sweatshirts? She didn't have to but was kind and extremely accommodating. She told us about the other locations and even threw in a cupcake Togo for my littles. Truly, being in the service industry, it doesn't get much better than that, good food, awesome people! Thank you Jojo! We will be back because of you. read more

This location is in a fabulous high end outdoor mall. Unfortunately, this store was very dirty and short staffed. The floors and tables were dirty and garbages over flowing. It had been an obvious problem for quite a while and not just one busy day. It was pretty bad. Eventually a worker cleared the table but never wiped it down. Nothing was being wiped down and table tops and floors hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. The grilled cheese and tomato soup were delicious. The cupcakes tasted a day or two old. The granola was delicious. The cookies are amazing. Hopefully they will have someone come in and deep clean. Especially during a pandemic. read more

Ordered ahead ,( 20 minutes )for pick up and was ready to pay . The person taking orders gave priority to the long line that was still undeceive on their order and flat out ignored me . Is it because I wasn't white? I had to go to back of the long line - stuck up snobby staff. I love my SA location wayyy better. Never having this food again. I ordered a dozen assorted cupcakes and they were by far, the worst I have ever had. The cake was as dry as the Sahara, clumpy, and basically inedible. These cupcakes were such a disappointment! How does Bird Bakery continue to run a shop in Highland Park? I could have gotten a Nothing Bundt Cake for a quarter of the price and gotten a moist, delicious cake. Also, I ordered sprinkles on the cupcakes, and not one sprinkle was added to any of them. What a horrific experience at Bird Bakery. I won't be returning. read more

The most charming bakery !! The best service everyone that works here is so accommodating and overly nice.. I come for the hot chai and lemon pound cake with a hint of vanilla and marzipan .. Luv Bird Bakery in Dallas and San Antonio. They do a great job, salads to sandwiches and cakes to quiche. Can't say enough about their breakfast items. Both the Granola and the Sweet Party Mix are perfect. As a gift or treat for yourself. The presentation is very good.BB should become a permanent part of places for lunch or early dessert. read more

Omg I'm in love, this is my new favorite place. I stumbled upon this while looking through dallas bloggers pages on instagram & had never seen this place before. The interior is insanely cute and artsy, I can't fully describe it all, but I took a pic. The staff was so friendly and helpful from the minute we walked in. We ordered their carrot cupcake and coconut cupcake which were both soooo delicious. I also got a caramel iced latte, which is good too. They told us how they make their own caramel and let us sample it as well. Truly don't know what to say besides that everything was sooo good. The cupcakes were pretty sweet, so if you have a natural sweet tooth, then you'll definitely like it. It's slightly pricey as well, but it is located in the Highland Park area, which makes sense. They have food to serve as well, and I'll be back soon to try it because I've been eyeing their spinach artichoke grilled cheese since I found their Yelp page lol read more

Came here during a weekend trip to Dallas. We tried their espresso chocolate chip cookie and lemonade herbal tea. This bakery is the perfect girls' hang out spot. Lots of pastels and super charming. Situated in an upscale shopping district, it's the perfect place to recharge from shopping-related calorie expenditures! Can't wait to go back and try other bakery items next time I'm in town (they ran out of a lot of options by the time we arrived in the late afternoon). read more

Absolutely adorable little bakery and cafe in Highland Park Village! Ordered a dozen cupcakes for a work birthday party: luscious lemon, decadent chocolate and nostalgic yellow. The office was thrilled with the presentation and taste. I was thrilled to FINALLY find a bakery with yellow cake and chocolate frosting cupcakes! It's the owners favorite and seriously no other bakery sells that combo. I also had their hibiscus mint tea which was so tasty! I am usually an "add lemon and sweetener kind of gal" but not necessary at all. The shop is very well appointed. The staff is very friendly. I especially loved the hot pink neon sign "Let them all eat cake". Cute. Can't wait to go back for lunch as they have a great looking selection of sandwiches and salads. read more

It's the type of place you can have a date night or brunch date as well as a big group meal during a friend reunion. My favorite standouts on the menu include the chicken chilaquiles with green salsa (regular is better than the chipotle in my opinion. Also, these are the best I've had in Dallas), huevos rancheros, and the tostadas appetizers. Every meal comes with a homemade assortment of unique and tasty savory breads which is my favorite part. The restaurant specializes in brunch and breakfast foods but also has dinner. The view from inside is beautiful. P.S. they don't really take reservations but they have a bakery inside the restaurant where you can grab a treat while you wait. P.P.S. Try their juices and smoothies. You won't regret it.
