He did just this, determined that the " snake" was all that was needed, and proceeded to clear the drain back to the main sewer pipe, taking great care not to damage this old cast iron pipe. Extremely pleasant and explained everything he was doing and how to avoid this problem in the future. I suspect that house sitters and grease may have created this problem.
