Communication was poor, and no one explained delays or what was going on unless you specifically asked--sometimes more than once. The facility itself didn't feel very welcoming, and the wait times were excessive compared to other plasma centers I've been to. It felt like they were rushing through people without much care or professionalism. If you value your time and want a smoother experience, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. I won't be returning.

Swag: nearly every visit, they will offer you an item. This time it was a sweatshirt, frequently it's a blanket or beach towel and sometimes it's a tote bag. However, there's always seems to be something! There's always bottles of Dasani water and different flavors of Powerade to drink! Additionally, they have a wide variety of snacks: potato chips, peanuts, energy bars, Cheez-Its, and more! In DFW, there's likely a Carter Bloodcare somewhere near you, just google it! I've used three different locations, and the staff in each is always friendly and helpful! The phlebotomist are very skilled, so don't worry if you're a tough needle stick. I do my best to come every eight weeks, highly encourage you to also do that! I really like this one, in Valley Ranch, as it's next to Mi Co Mexican restaurant. Do the right thing, and make a donation! You won't be sorry!

And I am over four gallons! I made an appointment to come to the Irving location and it was great. They got me in right on time, the phlebotomist was kind and efficient, and they had nutter butters. Those are my favorite. I never buy them, they are like my special treat for after I donate. I was in and out in less than a hour, full of cookies and a promotional hoodie. Couldn't ask for more.

I do have to say the 1st year in the Rade department everything was great, until we got a new manager and things went downhill from their. The rade department has lost 11 employees within a couple of years that I was working their due to management lack of communication, retaliation against staff is unbelievable. Few employees from the Rade department have gone to HR concerning issues with the management and yet nothing has been done. None of the management's in the Rade they don't follow the SOP Guidelines as they should. If anyone confront them about any issues that they they will retaliate against by failing you quality (monthly evaluation) claiming that your not able to perform your job. The Rade manager doesn't have her employees back. It seems that honestly does not exist in that department. Do your research and know what your getting yourself into.

After waiting for about a half hour to be called for intake info and completing everything they need from me, I am waiting to give a blood test, and take off my sweatshirt. Everyone stops to stare for a moment, while I said something along the lines of "I know what you're thinking..." because everyone seems to be intimidated to insert an IV because of my tattoos. After what felt like decades, some entitled, opinionated, and visibly miserable "supervisor" walks out of her room, stands next to me, gives me an up & down look, then looks at the agent at the counter and just simply shakes her head at her with a face of disgust, then proceeds to walk back into her cave, as if she's the lords gift! Well apparently, they CANNOT DRAW PLASMA IF YOU HAVE TATTOOS!??!? Never heard this from any medical "professional" before, nor is it stated ANYWHERE on the website! So clearly I'm feeling a bit singled out here. I asked the agent that was helping me if this is normal, or if they have issues with anyone else, and she replied that they do! And I even asked that they PLEASE put that on their website, or "forward to the appropriate individual that actually cares..." because their alleged "supervisor" clearly did not, and because they've wasted hours of my life (researching the location I feel comfortable and convenient online, set an appointment, prepped last night and this morning, and took time off from work for), but also wasted their time too. I guess the fact that my hands are cover in tattoos wasn't enough indication that my arms were also tattooed, during my intake process?! A lot of things should be done differently here. Treating people who are donating plasma without respect for no reason is one of many I can think of. I would NEVER recommend anyone go here, tattoos or not. You never know how you'll be treated.

I work in Dallas, so going to this location was a trek, but it looked nice in pictures so I decided to give it a try. Big mistake. Just leaving the center for the 4th time being turned away for not having something correct on paperwork from my doctor. 4th people, haven't gotten past the physical, no plasma given. I have been lucky enough to have neck surgery twice in the past year. They asked that my doctor fill out a piece of paper saying they didn't use some kind of cement that would make me have an allergic reaction. No biggie. I simply scanned and sent to my doctors email and received my form back quickly. After work another day, I decided to proudly take my form back and give plasma. Negative. After waiting an hour to see a nurse, I was informed that I still couldn't give because my doctor didn't fill out the physical piece of paper with holes punched in it that they gave me. There was even a box to check if I could give plasma 2xs a week, and my doctor approved. By this time it's after work and they close at 6, my doctors office closes at 5, in Plano. Day 3, physically drive to Plano and explain to the receptionist exactly what they need, except my doctor was in surgery that day, so waited a week to get papers in the mail. Tried for the 3rd time to find out the doctor didn't fully give them everything. After dropping off the original paperwork in Plano I was sent home to wait another week on snail mail, yet again. 4th time trying to donate today and was informed my papers had a wrong time/day stamp. The nurse then informed me that even though the doctor only works on Wednesdays, for the morning only that I would have to wait another week bc the doctor was only there for a few hours. The phrase, "jumping through hoops" would be easier than getting approval by this place. If plasma is needed so bad, why do they make it impossible? It was actually suggested by an employee there to see if they were more lenient at another plasma place. Wow. I literally wasted a month trying to do what was asked. The moral of my story is that if you have any kind of surgery, you will have to get all kinds of unnecessary paperwork from your doctor. My advice, find another way to make a little extra money, save time and go somewhere else.

I failed…read morethe 4 Month Protein check and had to submit to another one....Don't know exactly when to expect the second as the first only took exactly 1 week from the day the FIRST one was taken, I have never failed a 4 Month Protein Check in the many years I have been going to to Octapharma. The Phone staff here in Dallas are ROBOTIC and therefore show NO Empathy toward ANYONE who depends on Donations for Important Expenses and don't offer to check with other Staff members UNLESS you ask .....SO FAR this 7-10 SO CALLED WAIT for Results has cost me $260.00 in Donations . SO if I have to wait until NeXT week....for the DOCTOR to review the Test Results......
