We paid just under 1,500 for my wife and myself full body scan Not one person introduced themselves to us just called us back told us to step on scales then set her and they will call us in to do scanning.. bathroom is straight a head if you need scan was done okay you are done it will be emailed to you in few days. We walked out, the PHD owner did call level voice message saying if you want to talk about your scam, call my cell phone so we did two days ago never had a return call. We thought we are going to have a consultation after our scan and a copy of our scan plus the report the receipt via email. We made the request for these items when we was there,,, but this has been almost two weeks ago. As my wife and i are getting older, we felt it a good time to have wellness scans. The process was quick and relatively easy, and the testing itself was quick, professional and relatively comfortable. The staff was helpful. A few minutes after the scans, the results were explained in lay terms and findings provided in as much detail as we wanted. The only drawback we saw was there was not a lot of contact from the company beforehand to remind us of the appointment and the preparations, so if we had not adequately marked down the date and time, we might have had some difficulties as the payment is nonrefundable. We are trying to get appts in for. their 19 year anniversary - will be our third time in. I think our first one was in 2013 - well worth the cost! Both of us had doctor who prescribed statins for cholesterol that wasn't much of the 200 "limit". Waited 1 hour and 10 minutes before I was taken in. When I complained I was told that they only had 1 machine to which I replied that they should have done a better job scheduling. They know how long the scan takes and if there is only 1 machine they should be able to schedule appropriately. They also said the test would take about 2 hours but that was because most of the time was spent waiting. My scan took over 20 minutes but my husband's only took about 5 minutes. I was told that the data had to download first before they could go to the next scan and shew was having trouble getting the data to download. I wonder if the technician was purposely making me wait because I complained! Sorry I did it. read more

I was somewhat suspect both before and after making my appointment -- my fears were totally unfounded. Both my wife and I had the test run this morning -- we both came away impressed and pleased. The staff was very professional, the tech running the machine was amazingly considerate and proficient, finally seeing Dr. Duncan and getting the results was a great experience. Dr. Duncan seemed to really care -- he was able to explain everything so that we could understand and make the suggested lifestyle changes. We heard at least two personal testimonials in the waiting room from folks that had friends whose lives were save and one individual who personally was told he was at risk for a heart attack, his cardiologist told him he was fine, a week later he had a heart attack. I got a scan today and was exceptionally pleased with how well the entire process went. I have a family history of heart disease, strokes and cancer. At 56 years old I decided I needed to see how I was doing regarding cardiovascular health as well as to make sure I was cancer free. I expected a very long time to lay on a table for the scan--but that didn't happen. The carotid artery, cancer, and cardiovascular scan process took less than 5 minutes!!! About 15 minutes after the scan I met with a PhD researcher that went over my cardiovascular results. I commented on how quick the scan was & he told me their $2 million device is the fastest scanner in the world--and it uses 90% less radiation than other scanners. The detail of the findings was unbelievable!!! A Board Certified Radiologist will be reading my scans and send me a written report in the next week or so. I HIGHLY recommend this scan. When I was finished, I had a quick summary by Dr. Duncan, who was a researcher at Cooper Clinic, not a physician but very knowledgeable . Viascan is a must for anyone over 50. My wife and I both had the Complete body scan. Thankfully everything was great. But now we have peace of mind. A friend of mine also had the total body scan and they found a dangerous plaque build up that lead to a immediate visit with his cardiologist. I went to ViaScan and was in and out in about an hour (I had my paperwork completed previously and brought it with me). The staff was friendly. The only thing I would recommend is that the staff go over the body fat percentage that is measured on the weight scale; that would be very helpful. I received this little card via a friend of mine (who I think picked it up at her Mom's Cardio Doctor - Dr. Schussler). That card sat on my desk for a year. It's time for my annual exams and I had a feeling my doctor was going to tell me I need to either work on my cholesterol or worse. So I decided to screen myself in prep for what I thought was to come. I called in and set up the appointment - very simple - everything online. Paid cash and will see if I can get BCBSTX to let me use the cost towards my deductible. Maybe yes, maybe no but it was worth it either way because I'm in the clear. No blockage, zero. So for 5 years I can stay clean if I do the work he suggested. Need to lose weight, but he tells you in a simple way. Just puts in a simple thought form - "Think Healthy". Some of the guys in there didn't come out with such good news. Some went directly to Doctor to schedule a stint. Interesting what you learn in waiting rooms that can scare the hell out of you. John was very courteous and helpful with his consultation. I was very satisfied with all the staff. The only negative thus the 4-star instead of 5-star is that first time visitors must go through the torturous maze in order to find their location and parking. I had to call 3 times in order to find the place. My GPS dropped me off two blocks away and after finding the parking lot I was not sure where the office was located. The city is doing much road work and it is a mess. That being said, I am super satisfied and it definitely worth the cost having peace of mind. read more

This is my second visit to ViaScan. Dr. Duncan and staff are always friendly and helpful. Now that I have 2 scans and results for comparison purposes, I can properly evaluate how adopting his suggestions concerning lifestyle have affected my health. Unfortunately, I didn't take proper care of myself until age 40 and have conditions that can never be reversed but, by following suggestions of the good doctor, in one year I: lost weight, increased my basal metabolic rate, decreased my BMI, decreased my fat percentage, decreased my blood pressure and increased my lean muscle. Did I mention I'm nearing 70 years of age? It's never too late to take proper care of yourself! I'm looking forward to next year to see how many other positive changes I can make to my health. Periodically, ViaScan does run specials so that, if a specific date is not needed, you can save sometimes hundreds of dollars off the normal cost. I am particularly sold on the reduced radiation of his scanner ( one tenth of a normal CT scanner ). That was a huge selling point for me.
