I was here for a COVID Antibody test. I was near certain I had it back in late January. Scheduling was super easy. Paying for it was even easier. Finding it was more complicated only because I didn't write down the right address, but I found it at the last place I looked. The waiting area had the chairs at correct spacing to keep distance and I felt safe with the speed of service and the PPE all of the staff wore. I was documented, verified, tourniquet'd, stuck, drawn and bandaged in under 3 minutes. Then on the way back to work. My test came back negative for those that care :) read more

This establishment makes you use their app to make an appointment. Upon arrival at the lab, you are required to use a kiosk to check in. My appointment was not found and the system checked me in as a stand by. I talked to 3 quest staff memebers who were calling people back to get lab work done, that my appointment was not recognized. After waiting an hour the manager came out with a statement that I was wrong despite having a clear screenshot of my appointment with a confirmation code. She said The BEST she could do is let me wait as a standby because that had a lot of scheduled appointments. She said that might take 10 minutes to 3 hours. I indicated I ALSO had an appointment and that had been waiting for an hour. This lady claimed to be the manager and was totally intractable and was using some circular reasoning to make her point. She threatened to call the Irving police department. Another lady was there and her appointment was also not found in the quest system. This manager was clearly promoted beyond her capabilities. It is disappointing to see that in the quest for automation and staff reduction by Quest their customer's time clearly does not have any value. It has been a long time since I have felt slided at an establishment, since with some common courtesy mishaps can usually be worked through easily. read more

i got an appointment for 1210 pm. I showed up at 11 to see if they would accept me as a walk in. I checked in. they took ever one before me who walked in with no appointments. when i asked what was going on they refused to answer. even at 1245 which was way past my scheduled appointment they wouldn't take me. no answers. i had to stay fasting for this test and this was a painful experience. read more

I went to this quest diagnostic because my doctor requested some bloodwork for my annual medical physical. Months later I received a bill from Quest Bill V for $606.02. I have Medicare and a supplement so all that blood work should've been paid for so I called Quest and they told me that some of the bloodwork was not paid for then I would have to pay it on my own. I said didn't you call Medicare to find out if it was covered and if it wasn't covered, aren't you supposed to call me and let me know so I can contact my doctor. They said no the doctor ordered it so we just did it. Well, I don't think that's right if Quest was to do the blood work and Quest was the one to receive the money think that they would do their homework and check to make sure everything was gonna be paid for instead of doing it and then billing me for $600. I called my doctor's office on numerous occasions and they always told me somebody would get back with me, but they never did. But again Quest is responsible for this. They should've checked with my Medicare before they did all this blood work and I believe half of it wasn't even necessary. They're the ones that get paid so they're the ones that's responsible for checking to make sure the blood work would be paid for never again. Will I use a Quest office? read more

3 words: Pain! Rush! Nope! I do not recommend this place, the lady that drew my blood she was in such a rush. She slide my card so quickly and did everything else so quickly too. She didn't even explain what she was doing she just stuck the needle in my arm and then moved it around my arm. The entry place was so sore after I left here! Luckily I have a high pain tolerance otherwise I probably would've bruised. Safe to say the only reason why I came here is because it was close to the Mac Arthur obgyn( dr order) Otherwise it's a no for me. You sign in on the iPad( I hate that companies do this nowadays, takes away from the human interaction)but even then the service was still bad even with the human interaction. This place could be so much better. The staff is always super friendly (Renee I'm lookin at you!) but there is no organization. Today I went in and the ipads you sign in on (not even with a person) we're down and the tv was not working. There were no signs or notes about how to sign in or what to do... we are all literally just sitting here in silence wondering if the nurses behind the locked doors even know were here. I finally caught one of the nurses and asked her how we were supposed to check in- she shifted her weight to one hip, pointed to the unworking iPad and said (with a very disrespectful attitude) "right there." I told her they weren't working and she rolled her eyes. Sassy African American woman with bangs- your attitude is NOT appreciated! It never fails that every time I come here, there is a patient whose first language is not English and has difficulties using the iPads. It's never a nurse that helps them, always another patient. With Irving be so diverse, there needs to be instructions and people helping people- not technology. The iPads are purely a budget cut which also cuts customer service, not something positive at all and not smart in today's society. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable and often people are there for an hour plus with things like gestational diabetes testing, etc. they don't have an option to leave and come back so they are forced to stay. No books, magazines or kids toys- just a broken tv that doesn't work. And of course there's only one in the entire room. There are also NO restrooms- NOT okay for a pregnant lady who has to wait for over an hour for testing ! read more

This Quest Diagnostics location is great! Previously, I was taking my Dad to their Walnut Hill location because one of the phlebotomists reputations is wonderful & impressive. My Dad is just one of those patients that can be extremely difficult to hit a vein. Most phlebotomists that he's had get frustrated and instead of acknowledging the issue and asking for help they like to start digging around which is extremely painful & damaging! So his body/veins need someone very special and accepting to get the job done. One day, due to a timing issue, I had to get my Dad's bloodwork ASAP & was forced to go to this location for that to happen. This ended up being the best decision all around & now this is the only (& closest to the house) location I take him too. Here they make my Dad super comfortable and as usual, today's experience was awesome all around! I've taken my Dad to this location quite a few times, both with & without an appointment. As for today's visit we did have an appointment. We've had different people, but Renee was the phlebotomists/employee that helped us today. I just can't express enough how thankful I am! Renee is awesome, sweet, wonderful, gentle, caring, patient and informative! Her happy attitude, listening skills and carefree interaction she showed while taking care of my Dad today was amazing!! Thank you today for your gentle touch and mad skills Renee! Sorry Quest, I can't think of anything to improve upon, but I do recommend that you please do whatever needed to keep her around! Thank You! FYI: As for getting the lab results for all our bloodwork panels/tests that are ordered by physicians Quest can't provide those to the patient or family members. Your ordering physician is the one responsible for providing and explaining everything to you. However; I recommend creating a patient account through their app and this way you don't have to call, ask or wait on anyone. They call it MyQuest Patient Portal. As soon as the test results are available they are posted to your account. After that, if you still need more help about a certain result you can then call your Dr.'s office about it. Plus, they can't say that their still waiting on the results because you know they are already available. You can also see your bills/invoices, pay your bills, set up or cancel appointments, ask questions and if needed, apply for financial assistance. Plus, a bunch of other stuff...so go check it out! ....also, for some reason my review didn't get posted on the day I wrote it. This appointment was on 1/17/19. read more

My 1st time here. After checking in and sitting down, I was accosted by the TV speakers, broadcasting the worried tirades of CNN news anchors deliberating over the Tsarnaev court case in Boston. I opened the book I'd brought to read but as they continued to yell back at each other, I was unable to ignore their distraught voices and soon I felt myself becoming anxious. I walked up to the window and explained to Trina that the noise from the TV was causing me to feel anxious, further explaining, "I'm here for hormone testing and I can feel my cortisol levels rising. Could you please change the channel or turn off the TV?" Trina looked up with an annoyed look, "NO. It's Quest rules. TV always stay on. We can't touch the TV". I thought of waiting outside where it wouldn't affect me, but turning around I could see it was still pouring rain out the door. "I really need you to do something about it, please. I am feeling more stressed by the moment". Trina was really annoyed now and said "NO. It's the RULES. Can't change the channel or turn the TV off. That's the rules". The TV continued to broadcast the panicked news anchors as they outlined all the possible worst case outcomes of the trial. They were so stressed out themselves! Before I went back to my seat, I calmly walked over to the TV set and unscrewed the cable connection. Instantly there was beautiful silence. Ahhhh. My nerves began to settle...but only momentarily, for next thing I heard was Trina yelling. "DID YOU TOUCH THAT TV!? NO ONE TOUCHES THE TV. It's the RULES!". "God damn it", I thought. "Does this place know anything about taking care of patients!? I come in to test my cortisol and the waiting room feels like the green room of the Jerry Springer Show!" I managed to stay cool and calmly explained, "YOU did not touch the TV. YOU haven't broken any rules". She did not look pleased by my suggestion that her righteousness had not been corrupted. She stormed out to the waiting area, walked over to the TV and began pushing buttons, trying to get it to come back; despite her efforts pushing buttons the signal only came on momentarily. I watched for a moment and when she began to get on top of a chair to keep pushing more buttons, I said, "Look, I'll fix it back when I leave". She gave me a look of contempt and went back into the office. A few minutes later I heard her loudly telling a co-worker all about me. By this point I felt as anxious as a turkey before Thanksgiving. And I'm going to get my hormones tested NOW?! Ohhh boy. A few minutes later Trina walked back out and out the front door...then I heard my name being called. I followed David into the 1st room on the left, and noticed that my blood pressure felt high. David stood with his back to me, plugging away on the computer. I said "David, can I talk with you?" "Sure" he said, without turning around. I explained that I was feeling stressed because of the incident that had happened moments before and I'm concerned that's going to affect my tests. He thought for a moment and then said, "let me see what tests you have". After reading them he said "yup, they are pretty much all hormone tests. Would you like to wait?" I asked him if Trina was coming back. He said no, she was gone for today. "GOOD! No more conflict" I thought. And so I agreed to wait and calm down in the waiting room. As I walked out to the waiting room, several people looked up at me and by the varied expressions on their faces I surmised that they'd heard my entire exchange with David. So much for HIPAA! Probably a good idea for them to "close the door" when patients begin talking with them. Other than this faux pas, David did a good job of taking care of me. At my request, he got me water to drink and told me he'd check on me later, which he did. I interacted with two other staff members during my visit while I was there, both female but I don't know their names. The first lady had the kind of peaceful countenance you'd expect upon receiving news that her car had been impounded, but the other lady was quite alive and cheerful, even looking me in the eyes and asking me if I'd been helped when she came back in from her own break and saw me still sitting in the waiting room. Overall, I was very disappointed with this visit. I have certain expectations of medical staff to take care of their patients. Creating a calm, peaceful, and even warm environment would be a good place to start. It seemed that most of the staff was stressed themselves, which must make it difficult for them to offer genuine care to their patients, much less be patient with them (pun intended). I appreciate David accommodating me and the one lady who was friendly to me. Ohhh, and yes, on my way out I went over to the TV and screwed the cable back in. I apologize if you had to wait in the room afterwards. I pray they put Forrest Gump on for you, instead of Constantly Negative News (CNN). read more

I wasn't going to post a review but Quest hasn't responded a week after taking my experience survey so I figured I should go ahead. I will never go to this Quest location again. But I'll keep my review shorter because I said what I needed to say in the survey. I made an appointment but still waited about 30 minutes. Not going to say the technician's name but she is definitely not fit to see patients. When the technician called me back I could tell she was in a horrible mood. She kept complaining that it was hot in the building. She took off her plastic face shield, threw it and said "it's too damn hot in here, this is retarded". I didn't appreciate the derogatory slur toward a population of people who often can't defend themselves. I was disgusted not only by her ignorance but also her rudeness. It's not right to take it out on patients. That wouldn't fly at my workplace. Then when I asked her about a measurement and questioned how she got it, she threatened to measure low on my hips so that it would be higher. I guess to shut me up. Then when I told her she was wrong for using that derogatory word she was very defensive at first and then eventually apologized so I will give her that. Made an appointment for a wellness screening (height, waist, weight, blood pressure and blood drawn). Showed up a few minutes before my appointment and was called back a couple of minutes after my time. The whole screening took about 15 minutes and Ronda (I believe) was very friendly. The key thing is to make an appointment and show up on time, if not a few minutes early. Walk-in and you'll be waiting 30 minutes or longer. read more

Made an appointment weeks in advance. Arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment & checked in immediately. However I did not get waited on until an 1.5 hour later & that was only after I insisted. Saw many people arrive after me and get waited on. Monitors that were supposed to show wait queue were turned off. This facility appears to be completely unsupervised. Called into Quest's Customer Service Center and had a similar experience - waited almost an hour to get someone to take my complaint and that included having a CSR disconnect me. They should really allow zero stars on Yelp because if they did, this place would get it! What a S**Thole! Located in a crummy strip mall at MacArthur and 183, this hole in the wall crap for a medical facility sits. I had to get blood drawn before I started a specific medicine and since I work in Las Colinas, I figure it would be convenient to stop here on my ride home. It was convenient but convenience was not worth the trip. I walked in only to be surrounded by guys with pants down to their knees having to do piss tests for a job. Fine...whatever! The place was filthy! I assumed a medical place would be clean. It should be. But it wasn't. There were two women working here. Both had HUGE attitudes. The one helping me pulled me in the back to draw blood. I handed her my ID and insurance card and waited almost 20 mins while this woman tried to type my information in a short form on the computer. This was a 3 minute process but the woman just couldn't figure it out. So now it's time to get my blood drawn. I ask "where are you taking blood from?" Fair question considering it was to test my liver. She stopped, looked at me, and went off on me. Her response "where do you usually get it drawn from?"...."have you not had blood drawn before?"....STAB! Let's just say I was not about to argue back to a woman with a needle so I quietly let her be a bi**h and left. DO NOT GO HERE! Gone from bad to worse. I had to wait more than an hour to get blood work done after " check in" on computer. Then the tech calls me by my last name, completely butchering it. Since I didn't respond, she decided that I have left at 8 am. I had to go knock on door to ask what name she was calling. Next I am seated in the chair, and she can't find my request from doctor. After 10 more mins she finds it, and say she can't read it. Now I call the docs office to ask them to fax a new one. All this when the request for blood work was faxed 4 days prior to my arrival. After waiting for some more time, tech asks me to go wait in waiting area once again till fax comes. Phew, what an ordeal to draw blood early am at Macarthur road location. Moreover after checking in they computer screen shows to watch your name on TV screen to see when it's about to come up, guess what, the TV's are off !! read more

I was admittedly alarmed by older reviews of this location but was assured by people who'd been there more recently that it wasn't that bad. They were right. The staff was friendly and efficient, the waiting area was clean and comfortable, and the complex where it's located is modern and pleasant. I was completely satisfied with the experience! One note: while it's still located at 3501 N. MacArthur, it's now in a different building and suite number--but just down the way a little from the previous location. I wish I could give 0 stars to all Quest Diagnostics. First I am told that I am not allowed to use an out of state ID (wasn't a problem when I came 2 years ago and I just moved back to Tx). Then I make another appointment for 7:15 AM before work, selecting pre-employment drug screen. When I arrived, I waited for awhile and then was told that they don't administer those tests until 10 AM. WHY WOULD THE SYSTEM LET ME MAKE AN APPT FOR THAT TIME AND TEST IF YOU DONT OFFER IT AT THAT TIME??? And why would it not say that ANyWHERE on the website???? I went again today (had made an appointment) on my lunch break, and the system was down. Again, was not alerted prior to wait time. I understand system failures but what I don't understand is the lack of care amongst the staff. The phone system puts you in a loop and you can't get ahold of anyone. I don't have a car since I just moved back to the state and have spent over $50 in ubers back and forth. I just want to talk to a real person on the phone so I can make an appointment for 7 AM tomorrow because it's the only time I can do it at this point. I hope they can make an exception after everything I have gone through at this point. read more
