Located in the Washington Square Mall, this glasses store was everything I wanted it to be. I am not a mall person, but the directions on their website directed me to their store with minimal mall contact. Once inside a sales associate asked me what I was looking for and I told her that I wanted cheap frames. She pointed me in the general direction and let me peruse the selection at my own pace. One check in to see if I needed any guidance, which I politely declined, which is perfect customer service in my book. I found a cheap enough pair after about 10 minutes of searching, however having the prices printed on a side tag made scanning glasses based on price a little difficult. I sat down with the sales associate and we went over the price (they had some half off sale, which greatly reduced the price...I am pretty sure this is not an ongoing policy). It took about an hour for the glasses to be made during which I watched a blu-ray movie at the Sony store.
The main reason I went to Binyon's was for price, but normally I am not a supporter of chain stores, but all the local owned glasses places in Portland were way out of my price range. read more
