I have been coming to Oswego Optique for years now for eye exams (for glasses and contact lenses) and I never had a bad experience. I purchased glasses from them two or three years ago and they still work well. Recently, I got my eye exam and my prescription for contact lenses renewed from Dr. Olsen. Dr. Olsen is very good and does a thorough job explaining what is going on with your eyes, which I really appreciate. Staff here are super friendly and professional. Your eyes are so important, so I do not understand why individuals would not want to pay for a premium service! Remember, you pay for what you get and at Oswego Optique, I want the best for my eyes. The place is beautiful inside, it is super clean, organized and the staff is great at customer service. If money is no object then this is the place for you. It's in Lake Oswego...conveniently located to deep pockets. They do a fine job but it's nothing you can't get done elsewhere for a fraction of what these folks charge. Extra services (with extra fees) for things that I'm not convinced are necessary always seem to be suggested ...hey...you can't skimp when it comes to your vision right? And of course our contact prescription just happened to be like the most obscure (and costly) option available. I'm not saying this is a bad business. Many probably do it. Optometrist's monopoly of high margin glasses & contact sales has been deteriorating for years due to the internet and lower cost alternatives so I guess they feel they have to make it up elsewhere. Just kinda bugs me that it has to be via their loyal customers. read more

This is the best, most helpful office for eye care that I have ever had the pleasure of working with in all my years of needing eye care. The office manager, Denise, is a dream to work with and the office staff takes her lead. I have literally had bad experiences with office staff that are so bad that I have had to find a new doctor. Sometimes, they are just snobby or just plain not nice. I refuse to be mistreated at places I choose to do business with. In my most recent interaction, they provided a very personalized visit for my son. He is 26 and just wouldn't get his eyes checked even though we knew he needed vision enhancement. He just did not want to deal with it. I called Denise and she thoroughly empathized with me. She helped my son's visit go smoothly by setting up a file for him ahead of time and even validating his insurance. All he had to do when he got there was review what was pre-set up for him! And she fit him in on his next day off, just two days later. By the way, my son had called a different place and the said they were not taking new patients until more than 30 days later. They put him on hold for over five minutes. He finally just hung up. The doctor is fantastic and amazing too. My son already has his new glasses and they are terrific! read more

The staff are all helpful and the doctor did a thorough job, and even reexamined me when my test contacts were a little blurry. I also got glasses that have a very cool frame that I didn't have to go to the Pearl to get. I didn't want to go to a discount place like Costco, and I feel that the prices here are fair. read more

Wonderful customer service. They adjusted my twisted glasses at no charge and were gracious and professional.

After looking at numerous optical shops, I stumbled onto Oswego Optique. I was surprised at the great selection of frames and to my surprise, they were no more expensive than any other shop I had looked at - only at this shop, I found more than one frame that I loved. I ordered my frames and when they arrived, I had a small issue with the progressive lense - it just didn't seem to be sitting quite right. The staff offered to remake the lenses at no additional cost. Now my glasses are perfect, and the next time I need glasses, I'm going straight to Oswego Optique. It's all about customer service and at Oswego Optique, it's great! read more

Expensive? Perhaps, but otherwise this place deserves the business it gets. It is conveniently located, and the optometrist ran his tests efficiently. Also, the staff seemed well versed about insurance policies and the frames they were selling. And while they didn't have the particular frames I wanted, they offer a good selection of both regular glasses and sunglasses. read more

Contrary to what most are saying, I have had the worst experience with Oswego Optique. I agree that you should get what you pay for, and I am more than willing to pay top dollar when it comes to taking care of my eyes. The woman at the front desk is so rude, has never smiled once, never called me when my glasses were ready and always has an attitude. The Dr clearly didn't know who I was based on comments that didn't pertain to me and prescribed me a prescription eye drop that had horrible side effects, without warning me of any of them. They have a decent eye glass selection, but most are designer and are pretty spendy. For as much as it costs, I would expect premium service. I would highly recommend finding a different eye doctor. Find a place where they actually care about their patients. read more

I totally agree with G.S. They are located in a very affluent area, so I imagine that is the reason they feel they are justified in charging more for service that are available anywhere. I have had terrible problems with them getting the right contacts. In 20 years of contact wearing I have never had theses problems. read more
