When I mentioned it to my daughter they knew exactly what I was talking about and so we went to take a look at it. I love this unique addition to their downtown area which allows you to throw away rubbish via the garbage goat. You simply walk up to the goat, press the button to get it started and it you feed the goat. Your trash and the vacuum inside sucks it up through the mouth. This was a real cool experience even though it's simple. Boy was still an experienced to remember. Also, there is a carousel nearby that provides you with goat food as well which I thought was adorable.

Beautiful old house, such a large bedrooms for the day. They had electricity and hot and cold…read morewater. They treated their servants exceptionally well. A lot of people got married that met at their home. The Campbell's only had one daughter Helen. Very interesting and the docents all of them were fantastic, explaining all about each room. This is part of the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture. The entry is $12 and if you are AAA, you get $1 off. I gave the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture 2 stars and I will give Campbell House 3 stars. While this is a historical house and it is a nice piece of history, the price value to allotted time is lacking in my opinion. We arrived at 11:55 and waited outside on the porch till it opened because it was raining. The employees opened the doors at noon and welcome us in, but the rest of the staff was running a bit late. While the employees are standing guard, they won't really talk unless you approach them and ask questions. And then some of our questions, they did not know the answer. We walked the house and read what signs we could and left.

It is a little trashy in the little "rooms" or covered bench areas but other than that is a nice clean walk! It has a splendid view of the river and falls, and a good view of the city! This is something fun and easy to do in Spokane to see a nice view and get some fresh air!

Consider this the focal point of downtown Spokane after you've slid down the Radio Flyer and fed the goat, take a stroll down this gothic-esque bridge. Protip: be on the lookout, you can sometimes spot Osprey swooping down by the rocks. Protip 2: just north of the river are a couple FREE parking spots usually not occupied. If you don't mind walking a little bit and are half as cheap as me, it's a great place to find a spot!

Welcome to paradise! Manito park in mid-August made for an amazing afternoon. We walked under a…read morebeautiful stone bridge and up a little hill and emerged at Rose Hill Garden which was filled with thousands of roses of many varieties. We then made our way to the Lilac Garden where we just missed the peak season but it was still an amazing sight and smell. Next up was Nishinomiya Tsutakawa Japanese Garden. I love Japanese Gardens and didn't even know one existed in the corner of the park! We spent 40 minutes in here taking in the views and having casual conversations with visitors. Unfortunately, we didn't see the Gaiser Conservatory but did have time to visit the Duncan Garden which was another area filled with tens of thousands of different flowers. There were also statues, fountains, and other surprises. The symmetry of the arranged flower beds and decorations delighted the engineer in me. We saw a lot of other life in the park- bees, butterflies, worms, beetles, squirrels and more. I highly recommend visiting this park if you're in Spokane! It's a great place to forgot your troubles and see the beauty in life!

Four Lakes seems like quite a small city in general and this historical marker in a way seems like…read morea bit of an oddity. It is well placed in a calmly serene & very clean grassy prairie type area. It is well kept and probably for good measure. It was the site of a rather grisly war between a mass of native indian resistance soldiers and the well armed servicemen of the US Army during the Yakima War. If you read the history of the war, it hardly seemed like a war at all as the natives were hardly a match for the army men with their newly developed firepower. They were above to keep the natives at bay from afar without hardly any hand to hand combat. There may not have been any hand to hand combat at all from the information I could fine. At the end of the day zero army men lost their lives. The natives.....weren't so lucky.
