I get into a discussion with the counter person taking my payment for the $5.00 late charge and she get an attitude. So I came right back and told her not to take it so personally and at the same time some guy comes out of an office ( Balding, scruffy beard, Fat about 5'9") wouldn't even look at me even after I told him that he didn't have to come out of his office everything was fine!! I don't know if he was trying to intimidate me or what but it was just plain WEIRD!!! They are city employees I pay taxes so I PAY THEIR WAGES!!! They need to be at least a little more respectful of the average citizen that walks into their building!!! Instead of a holier than thou attitude!!! Oh, by the way, my bill was only $76.00 and I paid $100.00. I've had another run-in with these people when their meter reader read our meter(I watched him read it) and didn't put the cover back on properly so the next day my son was mowing the lawn and he stepped on the cover and fellthrough!!!

When completed, the plan will be evaluated by a panel of individuals associated with the Chamber... and suggestions for improvement will be provided. I will walk away with a very tangible business plan to start my new venture. I am thankful! I'm also thankful for the scholarship - as a Marine Vet wife. The skills and networking developed between classmates is not something that could possibly be measured. The help provided by LaFran and Eldonna from the Valley Chamber has been incredible, and an asset to my company's future. I've been coming here for…read moreyears and have come to appreciate the branch for it's size and selection of books, movies, and music. I also like the kids programs they put out. My daughter has been a part if the summer reading program for years and I believe that has helped her become the avid reader she is today. They also have other children's programs that are a lot of fun. The branch staff has basically been the same for quite a long time and they have always been friendly and helpful. The only issue I have found here is parking during summer months. Because it is located next to a city pool it can sometimes be an issue to find a spot. The Spokane libraries do a wonderful job of making the library experience easy. You can order materials that are located at other branches and have them delivered to your local branch. You can get free music downloads by popular artists through Freegal. Computer usage is easy and you can block times online. If you haven't been for a while you should check out all they have to offer.

It's the greatest place on earth. My idea of a great Saturday afternoon is to spend an hour browsing the aisles of the library and picking out books based on fun titles, cool cover photos and other random selection processes. The librarians at the Shadle branch are friendly and helpful. The kids section is adorable with little couches and blocks strewn about for playing. Overall, great library.

Would like to spend more time just to enjoy the views of rushing water fall, but couldn't really enjoy. Just observation of many patrons not minding their voices. Would probably enjoy a good hour and back to the mall I go. A wonderful library but next visit will probably need to reserve a room to read. She was precise in her answers and I am impressed with how many resources are available to patrons. The day previously, I also had another positive interaction with a different librarian who ensured it was possible for me to conduct the interview. Very pleased with my interactions.

There is street parking and there is no trouble getting in and out as there aren't many people here. The people that work here are very nice and just seem really cheery and just happy to be alive in general.
