They have a good selection of books, they also use interlibrary loan so they can get other books that they don't have in-house delivered. They have a good selection of films, they even have video games which I haven't seen a lot of libraries that have that. They have a library of things, which means they have some small devices and appliances that you can check out and use. The librarians are really helpful and friendly. For the kids library downstairs they have a lot of really great events and toys and computers that the kids can use. It's also located right next to a park, so you can make a day of it, you can come and check out the library, then do a picnic, then play on the playground. So why four stars instead of five? Well, the public parking lot for the library has a time limit! And so if you spend too long here you will get a ticket. Other than that this library is pretty sweet.

That led me to Eastern Washington University. While the Online BASW program itself is appealing, my admissions experience was unfortunately one of the most difficult I have encountered. After being admitted to EWU, I applied to the BASW program. From that point on, it often felt like the different departments were not communicating with one another. I was told multiple times that my official transcripts had not been received, even though another department had already confirmed they had been received. I found myself repeatedly providing screenshots of emails and confirming information that had already been given to me by EWU staff. The process felt disorganized, and I often had the impression that one department did not know what another department was doing. As a prospective transfer student trying to make an important educational decision, it was frustrating to spend so much time following up on information that should have already been available internally. There were positive experiences along the way. Al A. was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Denise A. was also courteous and assisted me with the admissions process. I appreciate the time they took to answer my questions. Unfortunately, those positive interactions were overshadowed by the overall lack of coordination. I never felt confident that my application was moving forward, and because my transcript evaluation continued to be delayed, I ultimately had to withdraw my application to avoid losing my place at another university. I believe EWU has a strong Online BASW program with great potential, but the admissions process would benefit greatly from better communication between departments, more consistent information, and a stronger focus on supporting prospective students. I hope my feedback helps improve the experience for future applicants.

My daughter has been a part if the summer reading program for years and I believe that has helped her become the avid reader she is today. They also have other children's programs that are a lot of fun. The branch staff has basically been the same for quite a long time and they have always been friendly and helpful. The only issue I have found here is parking during summer months. Because it is located next to a city pool it can sometimes be an issue to find a spot. The Spokane libraries do a wonderful job of making the library experience easy. You can order materials that are located at other branches and have them delivered to your local branch. You can get free music downloads by popular artists through Freegal. Computer usage is easy and you can block times online. If you haven't been for a while you should check out all they have to offer.

Four computers dedicated to kids, but not nearly enough for peak times. After school the kids stack 2-3 deep waiting for a turn. There are four little study nooks with power outlets, and plenty of other seating and tables. The whole back wall is glass and they did a beautiful job. Open concept favors safety and security but sacrifices volume as the noise tends to bounce everywhere. Overall a huge improvement but easily strained by the volume of users during peak times.
