I am so happy that I found Fred and Bimmer Clinic! I recently bought a 2012 BMW 328i for one of my kids, and I have been looking for a mechanic I can trust. I'm so grateful I finally found Fred. It is worth noting that I went to another mechanic that also had many positive reviews. I spent a lot of money with that other mechanic, but I had an uneasy feeling about him. Now I know why. When Fred inspected my car, he showed me an oil leak that I paid the other mechanic to repair! When I called the other mechanic, he said the new oil pan must have been defective. Sure. He probably never did it. Now I have to waste time having the other mechanic redo it. The moral of the story is don't always trust someone with many positive reviews. Fred is super honest. Not only did he not try to sell me on things I don't need, he did a bunch of stuff for free, including replacing a parking lamp and a brake sensor, and adding coolant! I can also tell you that he is very fair in his pricing. I showed him the itemized receipt of the other mechanic, and then Fred told me his pricing. Fred's prices were much lower. I can't even imagine how much lower he is than the dealer. BMWs are wonderful cars, and fun to drive, but as they age, they typically need more repairs and maintenance than less exciting cars. Having someone like Fred gives me so much peace of mind. For whatever it is worth, I brought my car to Bimmer Clinic for brake pads. Fred put the car up on the rack, and physically showed me the brake pads and why they needed to be replaced. He also showed me how the rotors had a lip on them, and why they needed to be replaced. This is my second amazing experience at the Bimmers Clinic. I have a 2011 BMW 328. Hi my car overheated in Moorpark pulled into a service place. They said it would be $1100. Long story short, I towed it to the clinic. The Bimmers Clinic. Fred the owner look to see if he had the parts. He did before he started. He looked it up online. The situation with My Car found out it was under some crazy warranty 15 years or 150,000 miles he stopped everything. Said tow this to the dealership he could've easily charged me $1100 and I would've been happy to pay it. Nothing better than giving your money to a small business when you like the people and they do good work. At the end of the day, Bob Smith BMW, which was another amazing experience, took care of the situation. Give me a loaner car. Today I will be picking up my car getting a bottle of something to give to Fred as thank you for being such an honest person, Fred said he believes in karma well, so do I and he's got a lot of good karma coming his way. The only bummer is that he just specializes in Bmw's And I'm assuming #MIN's I wish I could bring all my cars to him, but I will always bring my BMW thank you Fred and all the guys at the clinic. I usually never write reviews but I had to say something about this spot and the owner Fred. Took my car to the BMW dealership and they quoted me over $8k worth of parts and repairs and I thought my car was done for. The bimmer clinic team fixed everything for a fraction of the cost and replaced all the pieces with oem parts. Fred being the stand up guy he is, not only fixed the main issues, but he also surprised me by fixing the minor issues that wasn't on the initial agreement such as my squeaky brakes and replacing my almost dead key battery.
