Went to the new and improved BimboZ yesterday for their grand opening. I only went once before they closed down. The new place is pretty cool. It was super packed because it was the grand opening, but the bartenders surprisingly had it all under control. They were working their butt off, making sure that our drink didn't go empty. After they get all settled in and things calm down a bit, I will be going back. We had a great time. The inside of the bar isn't huge, but they also have lots of outdoor seating. There are also restrooms inside and outside, so if you're hanging outside, you don't have to go all the way inside to go to the bathroom. They also have a stripper pole if you're feeling sexy. This is definitely not your average bar. I finally visited after trying a few other bars in the area. Bimbos is the most casual, by far, of them all. There is a good size parking area. Unique little bar in the woods of North Houston. My friends described this place as a trailer bar but it's more of a shack, a large shack. The usuals will look you up and down a few times when you first walk in but overall, it's a nice place to relax with friends, grab a Lone Star, and get away from the usual cougar crowd of Luxe/Baker Street. This place reminds me of the ice houses of yore. My husband and I dared ourselves on a whim to go to Bimbo's, as we live in the area and have driven by this place hundreds of times before stopping in . . This place is a hybrid shack/trailer/dive bar/ice house. We enjoy ourselves every time, it's nice an cool inside, on the dim side but not DARK. You can go an enjoy conversation between just the two of you, or join in with the friendly regulars and just chuckle it up. There's karaoke, and sometimes live music. My brother loves this place. Bikers like this place. Blue collar, white collar, we're all here mixing it up and having a good time. Stiff drinks, yes indeed. Ice cold beer too. There is no judging here. read more

I would have given this bar a five star rating; because I've had tons of fun here over the few times I been here. A group of us had visited the bar this past week end for some karaoke; me and my girlfriend had a few drinks but can't recall anything from the night, I figured it was maybe we over drank; until I got a call from a buddy of mine that next day and said he experienced the same thing and so did his girlfriend. Figured it was a coincidence until my buddy who just drinks soft drinks, doesn't drink at all. Seems that he doesn't recall the night. Thank God I had an Uber that night it was the only way for me to know how we all got home. I'm giving it a one star rating because I feel you have to watch your drinks here. Stop by in to get my Crown and Diet Coke and really just to take a quick peek. I have to say the parking lot is rather odd and not so friendly for cars. Only motorcycles can park up close to the establishment therefore bikers rule. Once inside the bar I found it rather unique in its own sense. Well, after all it's a little country shed just trying to keep up with its past. If country bar sheds are your thing then why not check it out it may serve to be the diamond in the rough. But for me, I felt out of place. That's just my opinion as it was my very first time to experience drinking my crown and Diet Coke inside a mobile bar. Please keep in mind my 4 stars was based on the poor parking lot and how hard it was to find the entrance. Overall it's worth checking in to get out of the norm. read more

Was referred to this bar by another bartender at another bar. Great music, good people, strong drinks, and karaoke for suckers like me that think they can sing like Reba and sounds more like a howling dog. Unfortunately, service for drinks is slow and they overcharge and charge others people's Shit to ur bill. You don't know "HOLE IN THE WALL" until you have tried Bimbos. The decor, the exterior is sorta sketchy at first but until you meet the super sweet bartenders and awesome regulars you know why it's been around for over 20 years! I wish I would have took photos of the joint but I was having too much of a great time. The juke box gives everyone a chance to play their favorite music so it a win/win here. I visited on a Wednesday night with the expectations of "just a beer or two" and ended up with an "I'll regret this in the AM" night! Worst Bloody Mary EVERRR! Walked in on Saturday afternoon, dying for a good BMary... you girl behind the bar doesn't even acknowledge me because so busy playing her bingo card . I have to get out of the bar chair & ask her for a drink. Thank God I asked for horse radish because all it was, was tomato juice and really weak vodka! Five bucks for a glass of tomato juice and no service. I have traveled the world and not seen a place with as much character as Bimbos. The drinks are not so cheap or particularly strong but on karaoke nights, everyone is pleasantly wasted and the atmosphere is great. I love bimbos! I visit frequently. My friends brought me here a few months ago for the customary "birthday slut" ( fish bowl birthday drink that gets passed around the bar). The people and bartenders are great. It's very much a redneck Cheers. The prices are definitely not dive prices and I do recommend paying as you drink. It doesn't happen often but it has happened where I've gotten my tab and it's way more than it should have been. Bimbos does not serve food but you can absolutely get food delivered there. Huge patio. Darts, games and tunes. Smoking is allowed inside for all you smokers. If you've never been it's definitely an experience. read more

This is an interesting bar to say the least. Cheap drinks nice people but thats about it. You will need a tetnis shot to touch anything looks like the place has never been cleaned. One pisser for all the guys so expect a line, or do what the previous owner did pee of the porch. read more
