Even though he didn't have the part I needed, he kindly looked it up for me and gave me the exact link so I could order it myself. That simple act saved me both time and money. I truly appreciate his kindness, honesty, and helpfulness!

They will put a sticker on your computer that will not want to come off. Be certain to ask them for a card and to not put a sticker on your computer. My experience was negative on the whole. I asked them if they felt comfortable diagnosing something I had difficulty solving and informed them that I was competent with building and servicing PCs. When I received my computer back, they mentioned that they had reinstalled Windows because of an improper boot partition. They were wrong. The problem stemmed from a bug in the 24H2 update of Windows that did not play nicely with either of my Western Digital NVME drives. I discovered the bug on Reddit and updated my SN770 2TB storage drive's firmware, though I noticed it (the drive itself) would appear and disappear. This was a new problem. So low and behold my computer updated again to 24H2 and same problem as before. Apparently the SN550 Boot Drive was also experiencing the same issue with DRAM-less WD drives, but was not given an update option nor was it validated as being a problem by WD. This necessitated a new drive for my OS, so I went with Crucial. Insofar as I was taking my computer apart to install a drive, I explored the issue with my storage drive. Bits and Bytes had broken the primary NVME port on my motherboard so that drives would no longer fit securely. When speaking with the technician, he mentioned he had never seen a board quite like that and had trouble extricating the drive. I fixed the problem myself and all it cost was $150 to Bits and Bytes, a new hard drive for my OS, a new motherboard, and a lot of time. I will not be going back.

I am so glad that I went onto the 2nd or 3rd page of local search results, because that's where I found Aaron! His website was professional, which is a huge deal to me, and I also saw that he did pickup and delivery. Wow -- that would be a time saver, I knew -- so I gave him a call. He was professional on the phone and asked all sorts of questions about the problem, so I could tell that he knew what he was doing. He picked up my machine, and within a day identified that it was simply overheating. I had read in reviews before I bought the Envy that it was a heat monster, but I wasn't using it for gaming so I figured that I would be okay. Guess not! I have a laptop fan now, which helps, and Aaron installed a program for me that lets me monitor the temps. Since that first transaction, we've used Aaron a few other times, once to fix a broken laptop hinge, another to help us with our home network and router, which was acting up, and yet another to fix the port where the power plug thiny goes in (sorry -- I'm not technical and don't know what that thing is called). We are SO happy to have found Aaron, and will be calling on him whenever we need computer help. He's prompt, professional, and his fees are reasonable, especially considering the fact that he picks up and delivers! I highly recommend Aaron Helps You.

But I brought the computer in on a Friday, and on Tuesday I believe it was I learned that the data from my Mac was gone, unrecoverable. They threw what they had at it and it didn't work. That would have been a 4-star review, except that I took it to another local place, and seven days later they had my data for me. I think Asheville Computer just doesn't have the latest and greatest programs for data recovery. I spent $100 and got nothing in the end.

The second time I called I repeated questioned the person to be sure they understood they were coming to install a stereo system and it's components and wire it to multiple rooms in the house. She gave me the price and then I was told that I was required to pay the total amount up front, which I reluctantly did. On the day of the install the technician, as young man by the name of "Agent White" called. One of the smoothest scammers I have ever had to deal with. After asking what it is that we needed he very clearly stated that the call center didn't ask enough questions and that the installation would not only not take place that day, but would cost over 3 times the quoted price! He fained remorse over the call center but repeatedly said that they had no control. I demanded to speak to his manager who I was told would call me back. I did receive an incoming call that promptly hung up upon answering and, when I called the call center they fained the ability to transfer the call directly to the store and I was told they would not even start processing a refund until the next day. I will here after NEVER shop at or step foot in any Best Buy stores or websites.

I understand things happen, but they had plenty of chances to make things right. From purchase to final install it took over 2 months and 4 scheduled attempts. The first two scheduled attempts were no-show without any communication, and the third they dropped the TV and did $750 damage to my floor. Every failed attempt they put me in the back of the line, which meant minimum 2 week delay and certainly no weekend options. They had plenty of opportunities to show good customer service (proactive comm'n, priority, sympathy, compensation, etc.), but not once did they. I can't tell you what this cost me in rescheduling my work week, time sitting around waiting to show up, time on hold on the phone, time getting them to do something, time scheduling repairs, etc. Would have been nice if their Experience Manager actually cared enough to step in other than respond with "your order has been escalated" and a $300 credit. I am a loyal person and have purchased over $50k of items from Best Buy and this will be my last.
