They seemed nice enough, that's about the best I can say. I wanted to like them, I really did. I…read moreNEEDED to like them. But I brought the computer in on a Friday, and on Tuesday I believe it was I learned that the data from my Mac was gone, unrecoverable. They threw what they had at it and it didn't work. That would have been a 4-star review, except that I took it to another local place, and seven days later they had my data for me. I think Asheville Computer just doesn't have the latest and greatest programs for data recovery. I spent $100 and got nothing in the end.

Hi, let's start from the beginning…read more I decided to give Asheville Computer Company a try because a friend recommended it to me. So first things first I walk in and pay for a diagnoses. I get back the diagnoses and we decide that we are going to try and replace my motherboard to fix the issue. HERE IS WHERE THE ISSUE STARTS So.. RICKY sent me a list of motherboard suggestions and also wrote "you can also search i7 9700k motherboard and those will work" So I find the motherboard that interests me, put it in my cart and send Ricky an email asking if this motherboard would work for my setup. I wait 5 hours.. no reply (which is fine) so I waited until 4pm and decided to give Ricky a call and ask him in voice if they motherboard was good because I didn't want to waste $200. So I call him and tell him which motherboard I have and asked if that was gonna work... His response..? Ricky - "Ugh did you search i7 9700k motherboard? (Super rude tone)" Me- "yeap! Just wanted to make sure I assumed correctly" Ricky - (sarcastically as fuck) "WELL you ASSUMED correctly if you typed in i7 9700k motherboard" So I ignore the first time he was rude to me and wrote it off as him having a bad day and just go ahead and order the motherboard from newegg. It turns out that it was going to take until March 10th to get here and I didn't have time to wait until March 10th.. so I went to bestbuy to find a "i7 9700k motherboard" (because that was the only specification given by Mr. RICKY. I also didn't want to call him again and ask if this new motherboard was okay because of how rude and demeaning he was last time. So I figured it was fine because I followed the only specifications he gave me. So fast forward a couple of days I arrive at the store with my computer and i7 9700k motherboard and drop it off. I receive a call a couple of hours from RICKY, and this is how it went Me- "hey whats up man" Ricky - "This isn't the motherboard you were originally bringing here" Me- "Yeah I didn't want you to have to wait until march 10th to fix it, so I went to bestbuy and got one that came sooner" "The geeksquad guy at bestbuy told me it would work with my processor so I didn't want to bother you and call you again" Ricky- What do you mean so I would have to wait? YOU would have to wait until March 10th, I don't have to wait for anything. I am the person working on your computer so you need to contact me, if you want to ask the bestbuy guy stuff then take your computer to bestbuy" ^ is this REALLY how you want to talk to your customers buddy? I am a restaurant hospitality manager, this man has no respect for your customers and is there just to make a paycheck. After that phone call I came to pick up my computer and asked afro man in the front to speak to Ricky. Apparently RICKY had vanished in 3 minutes because apparently he wasn't able to come to the front. And after I asked to speak to Ricky, Bob Ross told me to "take my computer, leave the store, and go to best buy" oh, also threatened to call the cops on me and a friend after we laughed called him rude as fuck. Really guys? This is the kind of customer service you're shooting for? Please drop an email below where I can contact you Aaron. Your employees need a reality check. To sum it up - Ricky is legitimately telling your customers to fuck off and go to best buy. I'd love never seeing that guy there again. Afro Samurai doesn't know how to handle an angry customer and should be coached on what to do in certain situations. EDIT: 02/02/2023 Completely forgot to mention that the other company that I went to looked at my computer for about 2 seconds (didn't even open the case yet) and pointed to about 3 things wrong with my fans and screws and such. Go somewhere else. Don't use this company until RICKY and Soul Brotha are out of there.

The first time I…read morewas sure that the person at the off-shore call center didn't understand what I wanted (lack of basic English language skills), so I hung up. The second time I called I repeated questioned the person to be sure they understood they were coming to install a stereo system and it's components and wire it to multiple rooms in the house. She gave me the price and then I was told that I was required to pay the total amount up front, which I reluctantly did. On the day of the install the technician, as young man by the name of "Agent White" called. One of the smoothest scammers I have ever had to deal with. After asking what it is that we needed he very clearly stated that the call center didn't ask enough questions and that the installation would not only not take place that day, but would cost over 3 times the quoted price! He fained remorse over the call center but repeatedly said that they had no control. I demanded to speak to his manager who I was told would call me back. I did receive an incoming call that promptly hung up upon answering and, when I called the call center they fained the ability to transfer the call directly to the store and I was told they would not even start processing a refund until the next day. I will here after NEVER shop at or step foot in any Best Buy stores or websites.

BEWARE!!! I bought a $4,000 TV, so not a chump change purchase. This experience from the South…read moreAsheville store off McKenna Rd., including the customer service from their supposed "Experience Manager," Ray Milton was by far the worst purchase experience I've ever had. I understand things happen, but they had plenty of chances to make things right. From purchase to final install it took over 2 months and 4 scheduled attempts. The first two scheduled attempts were no-show without any communication, and the third they dropped the TV and did $750 damage to my floor. Every failed attempt they put me in the back of the line, which meant minimum 2 week delay and certainly no weekend options. They had plenty of opportunities to show good customer service (proactive comm'n, priority, sympathy, compensation, etc.), but not once did they. I can't tell you what this cost me in rescheduling my work week, time sitting around waiting to show up, time on hold on the phone, time getting them to do something, time scheduling repairs, etc. Would have been nice if their Experience Manager actually cared enough to step in other than respond with "your order has been escalated" and a $300 credit. I am a loyal person and have purchased over $50k of items from Best Buy and this will be my last.
