This time, I needed a MacBook Air battery looked at (and a Pro, but we never got that far). I was told it'd be $107 per device just for a diagnosis. Not ideal, but how much it would actually cost to replace the battery? "I dunno." Seriously? After pushing, the guy reluctantly went to check, making it clear I was inconveniencing him. He came back with a quote--for the wrong model--then told me they couldn't provide an estimate for my specific machine. So, to be clear: I could pay $107, get hit with a sky-high repair cost, and still walk away needing a battery? And you can't even give me a ballpark figure? "Yep." That's not my idea of good customer service. How can they not have a rough estimate for a battery replacement? I used to recommend them, but not anymore.
