My friends and I went here for a birthday party, and quite a few of us were almost completely put off of the experience of dining here due to an EXTREMELY rude waiter!
The first offence - my boyfriend asked the waiter we were being served by if we gave him the orders and then received drinks, or if it was possible to order from the bar. He more or less scoffed at my boyfriend and smugly replied "Go ahead" before taking our orders and walking off anyway. I was a little bit put off by this because I didn't really want my boyfriend to feel annoyed by this, but I thought things would continue alright.
Then, some of us had ordered the hamburger, to which the waiter asked, "How would you like it cooked?" We asked if it was possible to be done rare, myself asking first - to which he rolled his eyes, laughed patronisingly and said, "What?". This confused me, so I repeated myself, asking for a rare burger. He then explained that they didn't do rare meat, only medium rare, medium well done, and well done, all said in a very mocking manner. As someone who works in food retail myself I was extremely taken aback, as if I were to talk to someone like this I would've had a warning and/or a partner file at LEAST! Not to mention I had been in an accident recently and was on crutches, so the terrible manners made me feel quite insecure...
When we left the restaurant, after being so nicely served by this terrible waiter, we tried to complain to the manager about his behaviour. We were then told it was because he was Spanish, and he had language trouble. This I KNOW is rubbish, because I work with a whole team of people who learnt English as a second language and we are all still courteous and polite no matter how large the language barrier is! Not to mention that said waiter seemed to be aware of his rude behaviour the entire time he was serving us, and just didn't care.
Basically Bill's looked lovely and had food that was quite passable, but the service was so bad it completely put me off of enjoying the atmosphere or the food. It wasn't the slowest service I've ever received, but definitely the service with the worst attitude.
