Pau is the small square loaf of bread so well known in Mumbai and likely getting its name from Portuguese, reflecting Mumbai's Portuguese heritage. Only food establishments with an authentic Mumbaikar pedigree seem to get the Vada Pau and Pau Bhaji right. However, Thakers is a great find and in close proximity to a Sakoni (perhaps the longest chaat serving restaurant in London going back to its original Wembly location) and a few other great Indian restaurants. Besides Hounslow is easier to get to being on the Picadilly line just before Heathrow.
