Its really far away however its worth visiting at least one time. As I'm not so knowledgeable at all the names ,we spent quiet a lot (roughly 70£) but with three meals that we had we had the side dishes offered only with one of them and ended up ordering extras. If you know what to order and how: go for it,- as the food was lovely, but it would be nice if the staff would do a bit more with recommendations and explanation of what the restaurant has to offer. Oh and Plump Wine! Absolutely amazing!

I completely forgot about this slice of Korean perfection so it was a real treat to revisit it. It's always very busy in here, rather smokey from the BBQs, but it feels like home, if i was Korean. It's THAT good! We got 5 complimentary side dishes here, and also a free bowl of mussels. They told my friend it was because she was Japanese? I don't like mussels, they don't look edible to me, but my friend really enjoyed them! Some delicious kimichi pancake, babimba, spicy fried chicken and dumplings were enjoyed! Finished off with some refreshing complimentary melon! Soo good!

Finally made it here Jin Go Gae. Supposedly the best Korean place to eat in London. And what to have first to remind me of my time in Seoul? Oh you know...booze. More specifically Soju. That wonderfully mad spirit that will make you forget all of life's problems and that ache in your feet after a long week. Preferably Soju bombs with some Korean beer. Down those beasts like no other. Yeah, Friday's. Cheers. With alcohol must come food. It's the Korean way. To start. Some KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), seafood pancake and Kimchi that get me ready in time for the main event. Korean BBQ. So it turns out I got mixed up. I thought I had to order two dishes to get the Korean BBQ, so I ordered the Beef short rib and the King Prawns. Turns out I had a DOUBLE portion helping of shortrib and the prawns for my Korean BBQ. Impressed that I polished the whole lot off. Inside is a fat person crying out for love I think. Now in conclusion I must say the staff were very friendly, a lot of locals there was a good sign, especially since they have been on TV cooking shows. However, having been to Seoul and LA, London is no match for these two places to get Korean food. It pains me that Korean places here do not give sides for free or unlimited like in those other cities. They must. You can't call yourself authentic otherwise it appears you are after customers cash. I love Korean food. Probably my top 3 cuisine after going to visit there, so I know how it is. Cheap, tasty and vast in quantity without paying extra.

Very nice food. Taste different from other Korean restaurant. Very big portion btw, we only had 3 dishes and were very full.

This was on their lunch menu. It's beef soup basically called . Their food are really nice but their bbq are best!^^

Really good and authentic Korean restaurant, BBQ exceptional. Slightly far to get to and from central London, but worth the trip.

As I was in the famous 'Korea-town' of New Malden tonight, I decided to continue my education in…read moreKorean food. After looking at the windows of several Korean restaurants on Burlington Road, I settled on Me You as having the best local reviews up in the window. The atmosphere was like a local family restaurant with no rush to turn tables over. Although the waitresses didn't speak good English, I was eventually able to get the advice I was seeking on the food. It helped that the menu had a picture of every dish available. I was also impressed that the waitress taking my order gently suggested that 3 dishes might be too much for even a greedy pig like me! And she was right as the portions were big. I started with the Haemul Pajeon (Korean Seafood Pancake). This was lovely - crispy on the outside with small bits of seafood and spring onion. I also had a bowl of seafood with noodles in a spicy soup - I think it was called koppongi. I was startled to find not just a mussel in its shell but also whelks still in their shell in the soup - proves that the seafood was fresh and not frozen! The soup was spicy enough to wake up the tastebuds I'm starting to get a feel for Korean food after a few visits to Korean restaurants. Their food philosophy is the opposite to the Japanese, which rely on few flavours and ingredients but each flavour is distinct and obvious. On the other hand, Korean food is a whole melange of everything thrown together - meat, seafood, vegetables, flavourings. Even bibimbap, which is served with all the ingredients in separate piles in the bowl, must be all mixed together and coalesced before you tuck in. I enjoyed my visit here and have spotted a few dishes I would like to return and try.

BACKGROUND - I'm from the States, more specifically the west coast aka home to the best Korean…read morerestaurants. Since moving to London, I had been having great difficulty finding authentic Asian cuisines (Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, etc.). After being let down at Jee Cee Neh on the same block, I decided to give You Me a try, given the favourable reviews. PROS - Very comfortable, intimate and inviting space. Greeted warmly when we stepped in and immediately had a table cleaned up for us. The menu had pictures for EACH item, making the process of deciding which item to get extremely hard because well shit, I wanted everything. My date and I finally narrowed it down to an order of the large dumplings, spicy black bean sauce with noodles and the oxtail soup. We were blown away. The "large dumplings" weren't really "dumplings" per se, but actually hot fluffy buns filled with a generous amount of yummy pork and veggie filling, served with an equally yummy (soy sauce/vinegar/hint of red pepper) dipping sauce. It was such a good deal as well for those suckers. For about £6, you get 6 large hot and fluffy buns. That alone could be a meal but that was filed under "appetizers" in their menu. The spicy black bean noodles was done perfectly, I don't know what else to say about that except the noodles were fresh and the sauce was just so freaking good. The oxtail soup was not bland, but just a sip of it will let you know they have stewed it for a long time. The soup was no instant bouillon type of nonsense. It was the real deal. The soup was served with complimentary Korean rice. Another HUGE PRO - Complimentary refills on your BAN CHAN. That's right, not only did we get more banchan (the side dishes they serve you to refresh your palate) here than at Jee Cee Neh, they immediately restocked our banchan, free of charge when we ran out. How awesome is that? That alone would make me come back to try their dishes but will everything going to fabulously, I would be crazy NOT to go back. CONS - Absolutely none. I was so pleased with the quick service, the amazing food for great prices, and the portions (above average!). Shoot, even the bathrooms were really clean. Everything was so great. POINTERS - You Me kicks Jee Cee Neh's hind quarters out of the bush ..........yup. Pictures to come!

Parking was ok on Sunday evening, but I would imagine it to prove quite difficult on weekdays/Saturdays. The menu (from the window) seemed quite nice, quite a large selection of authentic Japanese and Korean cuisines, both cold and hot dishes. So in we went. First thing you will notice is the 3 large, curtained cubicles on the left for private tables of 4+ people, then you have the main area which is a good size and relatively spacious. The deco seemed a little plain with barely anything on the walls, quite a few of the lights had blown and not replaced which seemed to make the place slighty dreary and uncared for. I also thought the private rooms ought to of been put at the back of the restaurant rather than the front as there was a group of noisy, and evidentally drunk, Korean chaps singing at the top of their voices in the box. Service-wise was excellent on first impressions. We were greeted and seated with minimum fuss and maximum smiles and speed. We ordered the mixed Tempura (prawns, various vegs) and Yuk Hwei (raw beef sliced, sliced pear, raw yolk!), Kimchi for starters. The tempura was amazing, in fact I could even say one of the best I've ever had. Very light, fluffy and fried to the perfect crustiness outside and softness inside. The Yukhwei was quite good as well (my gf tried some for the first time as well and thought it was ok :p) however not as good as HanKang of TCR. The Kimchi seemed a bit of a let down. Considering Kimchi is probably the cheapest and easiest to make, the portion size was pitiful. For main course we had Ox tongue and Bulgogi (beef strips marinated) for barbecue and 2 bowls of rice. All was excellent and perfectly cooked by yours truely:P If you're scared of cooking on your own, the waitress will happily cook it for you by your table. Warm sake and green tea for beverages. Both excellent, however the sake needed to be reminded as I think the waitress left it on the bar and forgot. Other comments would be the cutlery didn't match at all which was quite strange and they have very cute little cat Soy sauce pots. :p

They have a medium sized menu but it's full of the most delicious looking food. I have never been to Korea but the Palace really does feel like a really authentic Korean restaurant. We ordered the Squid and Pork * (I forget what it was called, sorry, not a good review technique I know!!), which is a hot plate/pot for 2-3 people. They bring a grill to your table on which they place this huge dish of uncooked Squid and thinly sliced pork with 3 types of mushrooms including the yummy Enoki's, and it's all in a lovely chilli sauce. They also have a new on table bbq set up which wasn't there the last time I went and I think they are just growing the bbq menu. The staff are lovely and so sweet and helpful. You get 5 free salad/starter dishes and it's cheap as chips. Our hot pot (which was too big to finish), 1 rice and 2 beers came to £26.50. The only downfall is the ambience, it's more like a cafe that a restaurant so do not come here if you are planning to propose.
