    Risotto balls

I've had this place on my radar for many ears, but never managed to get here until now. It was a beautiful summer afternoon, so we sat outside for lunch. A lot of the food seemed kind of heavy so we split the risotto balls appetizer and each got a kale Caesar salad and French onion soup. Not the most adventurous choices, but everything we had was quite good. I'm glad we sat outside - the inside seemed kind of stuffy to me. Definitely old school Bloomfield Hills, which has no appeal to me.

First Visit to Bill's - Definitely Not the Last! Today was my first time at Bill's in Bloomfield Hills on Woodward, and I can't believe I've driven past it so many times without noticing it! It's tucked in the same building as Brewer's Bagels, Oswald's, and Chase Bank -- not sure how I missed it all this time. A buddy of mine and I were texting about grabbing food, and he suggested Bill's. He said, "You've got to try the Eggs Benedict, but get it on the James Beard hashbrowns instead of the English muffin." That was all I needed to hear. We sat up at the bar, and Alisha was our bartender -- she was absolutely fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and just on point the whole time. We ordered two entrées to split: the burger and fries, and the Eggs Benedict on hashbrowns. Both were phenomenal. The flavors, the presentation -- everything was spot on. We also had a few mimosas (which were perfectly balanced, by the way), and between the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere, the whole experience was top-notch. Bill's has such a great vibe -- upscale but relaxed, and definitely welcoming. I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. This spot is a hidden gem on Woodward!

We had an amazing first experience at Bills. First of all, they don't take reservations, but we were sat quickly on a weekday for dinner. It was busy, but not too busy with a lively bar. We loved the decor, it's very fun with a lot to look at, but with a dark moody vibe. I loved that all the design elements were cohesive, from the checkered tablecloths, wall decor, and even the bathrooms. We started with the lamb meatballs, truffle fries and calamari. As a calamari lover, this was a super win dish for them. It was surprisingly tender and we loved it! For entrees we got the NY strip, brick chicken, and the chicken parm which was on special. They are all very balanced, a meat, carb, and veggie. The star of the show was the NY strip plate, the steak was cooked perfectly, covered in peppercorns, and had really well cooked Brussels sprouts on the side. The server was great, the perfect level of attentive. I loved my experience at Bill's and I will be back!

I love going to our local family owned restaurants, Bills is very good always busy, the food is consistently good. I look forward to coming back here. The only draw back is they do not take reservations. But they have a nice bar area to have a cocktail and wait for a table

A group of 8 of us (7 adults, 1 toddler, 1 baby) were at Bill's for Mother's Day for a very late brunch. We arrived at 330, and brunch ended at 4. Our table had two waitresses and they let us know that we had to choose between brunch or dinner as a group. After some debate, we decided on dinner. I think everyone enjoyed their food. I had the meatballs which were tasty, but I feel like texture needed something more as everything in the plate had a soft texture. My husband enjoyed his burger but also felt all he could taste was truffle flavor which is delicious but I feel some variety is needed in a dish. The service was good, but I think we might have tested the patience of one of the waitresses trying to decide between the two menus, asking questions and having a pretty active toddler!

Still a great brunch. We had a large group and the wait staff was very accommodating, even splitting our bill. Avocado toast was great, with poached eggs that are perfectly runny.

I have eaten both lunch and dinner at Bill's; both were very good. We had lunch on our most recent visit. The atmosphere is very nice. I had the tuna melt and it was one of the best I have ever had. Everyone enjoyed what they had. The French fries were cooked to perfection. The service was good. I will definitely return.

I love Bill's for happy hour. Terrific appetizers. The meatballs & risotto balls are MWAH - delish! The bread is crusty & yummy. Server, Colleen is great! Looking forward to trying more menu items.

(I used to get stopped up due to the lack of fiber.) Now there are salads on the menu -- complete dinner salads and large side salads. I had a very tasty Michigan cherry salad, with walnuts and blue cheese. Thursday must be "prime rib" night. Everyone else in my party ordered the prime rib, but I got shrimp and black bean cakes. Everything was carefully arranged on my plate. A pretty presentation. The three large shrimp were so fresh they were crunchy-good -- cooked only enough to cause them to turn opaque. The black bean cakes were a little bland, but the creamy red bell pepper sauce with scattered tiny diced veggies that was lightly laced over the top of everything added flavor, even if it was un-spicy. The little tuft of micro-greens was a nice touch, and the two baby carrots and six haricots verts were steamed and shocked to perfection, but I would have preferred a bigger pile of veggies. After that, we all went for a trip to the sundae bar. A big improvement over my prior dining experiences at this place. The rest was as I remember it: The wait staff is friendly and professional -- attentive without stopping the flow of conversation. The surroundings are luxurious, with elegant tiled floors and beautiful flower arrangements.

We declined because we wanted our daughter to try it before she made up her mind, and learn from the experience. She insisted on putting another order in, saying "I just want her to be happy", and it was clear that she truly meant it. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast - we will be back frequently!

I was a little disappointed initially to be seated at the short bar as it makes me feel like I'm in elementary school due to the height, but this was a busy Saturday morning so I understood as it seems there are limited 2-tops, etc and this visit was at peak hours. It was nice to see the daylight coming through the windows which also made this a relaxing venue. While I was sitting there I was able to observe a lot as the short bar is next to the case displaying many delicious treats. I really laughed to myself as I noticed a couple of future Yelper's (one was 2-year toddler and his probably 4-5 year old sister (possibly celebrating a birthday) make a prompt trip to checkout the dessert offerings first! They were obviously "regulars". I was greeted by one of the wait staff, Mya, who was friendly, served me a coffee and indicated my server would be with me soon. I appreciated seeing the teamwork among the staff. I was eventually served by Owen who was helpful and I ordered an egg white frittata which came with a side of mixed fresh fruit. While I was waiting on my food, I had a vantage point where I could see several entrees come out. I also witnessed one of the two Chefs smiling as he was looking at and preparing the orders which I found interesting. The frittata included spinach, tomatoes, goat cheese, apple chicken sausage, and was delicious. I was still a little hungry, so I realized the future Yelpers mentioned earlier had it right, and I ordered a carrot cake cupcake which Owen mentioned was a good choice. The frosting was delicious and the moist carrot cake was tasty as well. The overall restaurant was hustling and bustling on this morning, I had my coffee cup refilled multiple times and even noticed additional children observing the case with the desserts. I enjoyed the overall experience and did not feel rushed at all, but more like a customer!

The…read morequality and consistency are great, though I honestly think the meat would shine even more as a traditional 1/4 or 1/2 pound patty rather than a smash burger. A thicker cut would really let you taste the high-quality flavor of the beef. If you're going to order, here are a few pro tips: Get the sauce on the side: It's an excellent sauce, but you are much better off dipping. Otherwise, the burger will totally get drenched and lose the meat flavor profile. The bacon situation: They smash little bits of bacon directly into the patty. You can barely taste it this way, and it would be significantly better just served as traditional strips on top. So I would prob get it without next time. The Tallow Fries: These have huge potential, but unfortunately, mine arrived pretty soggy via delivery. I should have thrown them in the air fryer to crisp them back up, as I know they would be amazing fresh out of the fryer dripping in tallow. And they would have worked much better as larger almost steak cut fries to let the tallow flavor shine more. However as i ate them, i would still choose cajun 5 guys fries well done over them. My order for a burger and fries came to almost $40 (including tip) through their delivery service. Is it worth that price point for a delivery order? Probably not. However, the core ingredients are so good that I definitely plan to visit the restaurant in person so I can experience the food fresh and at its best.

The only thing that would make this place any better is if they had a liquor license! We came in and seated ourselves; we were greeted warmly right away by our server. The decor is cute and modern with bright colors and has a good vibe. The menu is really interesting - there are a lot of good items on it and it was hard to choose! I was really tempted by the birria ramen - I may have to come back just to try that. I like that they have traditional Mexican/Tex Mex food as well as wings, burgers, and salads. Anyone would be happy eating here. To start, the chips came out hot and freshly fried and the salsa is nice and mild with a lot of tomato flavor. My Mom ordered the Ghost smash burger and I had the spice dusted wings. Both of those come with fries or tots, and we got fries. I also got a side salad with their southwest Caesar dressing, and it was really good. Topped with fresh tortilla strips and a decent amount of dressing - it wasn't overdressed, but I might get it on the side next time. Fresh and yummy. I really enjoyed the wings - they were a decent size and not overly breaded or frozen wing dings. These are legit chicken wings and I love the spice mixture as well as the delicious cotija ranch type dressing they come with. That's really good. My Mom's burger was also delicious - nice and hot with queso sauce and a fresh soft bun. A pretty perfect large burger. I will say that they're using frozen potato products, but with such a small workspace, I can see why that's necessary. And I'm not mad at it - the prices are very reasonable, and they came out hot and crispy with seasoning on them, so they're definitely decent. We'll be back every time we're in Pontiac! They're very close to the UWM campus and sports complex, so that's a big plus. They have specials, and on Saturdays KIDS EAT FREE!
