They take no time to understand the complexities of your situation and they have not one single sense of human decency or compassion. They've put me in such a huge hole as I am now trying to figure out how I'm going to eat for the rest of the day... We could not start our car and Bill's came out promptly to give us a jump. They showed up quickly, got the car jumped, were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. We were able to drive the car to the garage to get it checked out but unfortunately it would not start again once we got there. They were able to replace the battery with an interstate battery at a good price. read more

I had an appointment to get my brakes replaced and my oil changed at 7am on a monday morning. No one was there when I arrived, even though the employee told me he would be there at 6am. I waited for 30 minutes and called and left a message to call me back. It was stressful because they told me they would give me a ride to work since they would need to keep my car for a couple hours. Thank goodness Phil's auto repair is close by. I called them and they took care of everything! I recommend them! Bills garage has still not called me back. It is rude and horrible customer service. From first impressions I thought the guys at Bills garage seemed honest and decent, so I had them do some work on the front end of my car. Several months later I'm finding out from a trusted family mechanic that as far as he can tell several of the parts Bills supposedly replaced were never actually replaced at all. Obviously I can't be sure that this is actually what happened because my mechanical knowledge does not amount to much, but it makes me suspicious enough to not take my business there ever again. read more

This business runs on cash and lies. I was parked in a lot for less than 5 minutes and they are attempting to town my vehicle. I go in to explain how I have only been unloading my car of my belongings to my apartment. The driver then goes on to call me a liar and that I had been parked their for 30 minutes. The driver of the tow truck was also trying to intimidate me so I will pay up. I have no choice but to give him my credit car so he can charge me the 100 dollars. Not 1 minute later he is attempting to tow a girls vehicle. All she does is give him a 20 in cash and he goes on his way. This business is very unfair and does not care about customer service, at all. I would never let these people work on my vehicle, who knows what they will do. I strongly advise anyone who is looking for car repair, or being treated like a human being, to go somewhere else. read more

My car broke down and was towed by Bill's towing to their garage. Once at the garage, a quick assessment of the problem was completed and they were able to give me a quote within an hour. Due to the parts needed, they weren't able to fix my car that day but they did everything in their power to get the part there as quickly as possible by calling every parts store within a few hours of their shop. Once the part arrived, they performed the repair quickly and accurately with a very fair price. If ever in Boone and need repairs, I highly recommend Bill's. We were stranded on the side of the road in the rain at 7 on a Sunday .The tow truck arrived quickly took us to the shop and we waited in the shop until our ride got there. The next day the shop fixed the problem in our van and we were back on the road! The staff was excellent and helpful. We are so thankful we found a place we could trust. read more

I had a flat tire. Bill's Garage was the closest garage to my location. Of course, it was 5:00pm. I left my car overnight. I went in the next morning. Tire wasn't fixable. They were honest about their busy schedule and didn't charge me anything to look at the tire. I had to go elsewhere for a new tire, but they were nice and apologized for turning away business. read more

I was charged $100 for a tow that took 5 minutes! Please spend your money at a reputable shop instead of this horrible place.

Would not recommend this place at all. I just moved here and my car didn't do too well in the winter so it began messing up I Took it to AJ's tire and auto who I would also not recommend because "Could not find anything wrong with it" and as soon as I left both parking lots the same problem occurred so I took it back to bills after already taking it to AJ's twice with "no problem wrong with it" And then bills charged me $100 and when I left the same problem occurred so I took it back because I did just pay $100 and they said oh we fixed the wrong problem so after 7 to 10 days they called me back and said it would be $166 and the problem would be fixed I didn't have the money at the time so it took me 2 1/2 weeks to pick up my car which was reasonable on their part because they let me leave it there but after I picked it up after 2 1/2 weeks The original problem I had, seemed to be gone but another problem happened on their part so at one last attempt I took it back to them and said hey I just paid $166 on top of another hundred dollars and there's a whole other problem that you guys created and they said OK we'll fix it so I'm sorry about so after another 10 days I got a call and they said that the car is messed up on their time so they're going to have to fix it and it's going to be a lot of money but that I shouldn't owe them anything because it happened on their time. finally after I went to go pick up my car after messed the car mess up the first time ,on top of the other part they messed up well all trying to fix the original problem I drive off the parking lot paying them another hundred dollars and the original problem that I went there a month ago happen again. So to conclude all, If you want good quality work and not shitty service find somewhere else to go maybe even out of Boone. read more

These people are despicable. I spent 30 minutes arguing with their incompetent tow truck driver who was towing my car away. While I was waiting for the cops to come as I was sitting in front of my car, he threatened to charge me 100.00 every 15 minutes he had to wait. He was a jerk and they are only in business to steal your car and money. Do not take your car to these crooks. They were 1 mile from where they towed me and charged me 100.00. My insurance company contracted with this outfit to come get my disabled Honda when it quit on me in Boone. My sister and I waited about 90 mins for the wrecker, the driver was friendly and helpful, but as he neared the shop where I wanted my vehicle repaired, the engine of this 2500 Dodge wrecker just quit in the middle of the road. I had noticed the "low fuel" warning lamp from the passenger seat the whole time as we drove toward the shop, but it didn't register, as I thought " nobody would send out a wrecker with no gas in it," Well, duhhh--uhhhh...guess again ! It finally quit and ran out of gas and there we were ! Luckily my sister was behind us in her car, or else me and the driver would have sat for another hour. Sheesh...what a day !! read more

Called them to just put break pads on my Ford Focus they then called to tell me my rotors were so bad that I would not be able to drive it to Winston Salem about and hour and a half away without my break pads wearing back down. Well I did not have them replace my rotors because I just replaced them not even a year ago so I went to get a second opinion, needless to say my rotors where fine and nothing was wrong with them was so ever! This place is a joke and try to take advantage of people! Do not go here always get a second opinion. read more

I hope everybody realizes what a racket Bills towing is. They know it as well as we do, parking in downtown Boone is ridiculous. They don't give a shit about practicality or the fact there are less than thirty legal parking spots in downtown Boone. I got towed from a parking spot after 12:30 am from a parking lot where over half the spots were still empty. At two when the bar closed i went out to get my car and it was gone, at this point the lot was still empty. I had parked there all summer without difficulty, not once staying overnight. I paid eighty dollars to get my car out of Bill's, which happened to be less than a mile away from my parking spot, where not only did they not have any information about my car but also no information about where i was even towed from. When I asked where I was supposed to park so I could park there in the future they had no answer for me. They don't care or want you to park legally and why should they? They are making a killing having people park mistakenly in shitty gravel lots students are willing to pay upwards of $800 on. They are driving around when bar hours are still active towing college students who weren't lucky enough to find one of the dozen parking spots we are even allowed to park at. At eighty dollars a pop im sure ripping off college students is making them tons of money. At least six people were waiting in line to get their cars out of impound, not one of which was over the age of 25. Im not sure what anybody can do about this situation but i know sure as shit i'm not trusting Bill's towing for anything. They are petty people just trying to make a buck off the poor saps that happen to try and park in Boone. read more
