Jeff and his team arrived and had a professional appearance which, to me translates in to a job that will be done with the needed attention to detail. He and his team even took steps to ensure my newborn was not being disturbed during each part of the process; which in my experience is not something you come across very often. Not only did I witness his ENTIRE crew working very hard (taking few breaks), but Jeff, the supervisor, also came out daily to conduct spot checks and asked I walk with him in order to explain each part of the process to ensure I was properly informed. Their work was also very well done and initially I was worried the completed work wouldn't be aesthetically pleasing. I have to admit, the way Jeff and his crew did the waterproofing job made it appear as though it was all part of the landscaping plan for the house. They even ensured the materials they used matched the exterior or my home as well as the trim. At the completion of the job, I also received a follow up visit from Jeff and Chelsea to ensure everything was completed to his standards. Following his inspection, he determined he didn't like how a particular portion of the job looked and later came out to add more rock in order to make the look of the landscaping more full and also trimmed one of the pipes to better conceal it. Should my wife and I move and purchase another home or even need anything additional with our current home, I will 100% be calling Foundation Masters. Paying a little more than 'the other guys' was beyond worth it in my book as the general 'headache' associated with home projects was nonexistent. In my eyes that alone is worth it! To Jeff and his team, thank you very much for such a professional, informative, and seamless experience!

Total scam business…read more Contracted with him to design a kitchen to include design plans, structural design work to remove a bearing wall, and design front and rear porch with steps. From the get go, plan dimensions were wrong and never verified in the field, cabinet sizes were not standard and to the height we selected. We even told him the sizes we wanted. Being a retired carpenter by trade, I knew what I was talking about. The owner said he was a registered architect in Kentucky when he was not, nor registered in Florida. He has no structural engineer that works for him either. Architectural and engineering plans, along with a building permit that was to take eight weeks total was still in a schematic phase after seven weeks. He blamed me for a difficult design and that was why the time took so long. Problem was he didn't know how to design cabinets. For example, he called for a standard sink base cabinet which is 36" to be 37". Other base cabinets in plan were not standard sizes and had multiple filler strips attached. Poor design. What took him seven weeks to attempt to design was done by a local cabinet store in five hours. When I complained and wanted money back I was told my $4500 dollars was non refundable as per my contract. Now I have to take him to court to try to get my money back. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This was nothing but a scam business with no experience. I tried to resolve this amicably with him but all I was told is money is non-refundable. See you in court Donathan Sweat, SR.

Workers would come and go as they pleased, and there would be some weeks where workers did not show up at all. I would have to call and complain before work would start again. No one called and provided me an update as to what was going on with the project and whenever I called the office the receptionist would indicate someone would call me back later that day. No one ever called me back, not once. I probably called upwards of 6 times with questions to no response. Moreover, I had the contractor come out to give me an estimate for another project. He came out weeks after my request and after meeting never sent me the estimate. They are also insanely expensive. I will never use this company again. The only positive thing I can say is that the work was done correctly.

Here's the deal. I was buying a house with a crawl space. In addition to my general home…read moreinspection, my realtor recommended I get a structural inspection since the house was built in the 30's. Just to be proactive and double check. For only $100, they'll give you a report and piece of mind. NOT. They came out on a Monday to do the inspection. My "inspection period" on my contract ran out on Thursday...I was assured by the inspector that I would have a report by Thursday and at least a phone call from the engineer by Wednesday evening with at least some general info (i.e. the house is falling down don't buy it) After at least 6 phone calls and conversations with Linda (receptionist), and an angry e-mail to the company, I finally received the report Friday at 4:45pm. Their customer service was AWFUL the entire time. Even after 3 phone calls, I was STILL explaining my situation to Linda (did she really not remember??), and the engineer Scott, basically called me a liar several times. At one point, they actually stopped answering my calls. On top of that, the report indicated $20,000 worth of damage and repair. Cue: panic....especially considering it was now the weekend. That following Monday, my dad and I both put phone calls into Wisdom for more information on the report, and no phone calls were ever returned. I hired another structural company (Dansco) to come out and do another inspection on Tuesday. (it was more expensive...but totally worth it)...and their report was starkly different. Only about $5,000 of repair. Kind of convenient that Wisdom actually does the work and Dansco only does inspections. Clearly this is a case of Wisdom trying to scare me into unnecessary repairs for their own benefit. Pay the extra money for Dansco to do your structural inspection.

Condescending and rude. I emailed EMA for some information…read moreand pricing. I wanted to remove a partial wall dividing my living room and kitchen, and I needed to know if it was load-bearing or not. Their quote for consulting and providing papers for permitting was $2,250, triple the price of what multiple contractors told me it would cost to ACTUALLY remove the wall ($750). I was surprised. I thought for sure they thought I was a big commercial place or it was a bigger job than it was, so I emailed back to confirm. Their response was awful, condescending and really rude. Here are the emails word for word: Hello, I'm trying to find a structural engineer to tell me if a wall in my home is load bearing or not, and if it can safely be removed. Do you do that kind of work? I'm in Clearwater, FL, and I'm having a really hard time trying to find a professional to look at it. Any help you could give me would be appreciated. All the best, (my name) ________________ Yes, we do this type of structural work. Just to look at the wall and attic space in my little house? That seems like a lot. I mean, it would probably only take 30 minutes, if that, for a pro to take a look.
