Anyone who is a homeowner in Florida knows how abysmal the insurance situation is here. My house was built in 2002 and still had the original roof, so I've known for a while that I've been on borrowed time. Citizens sold off my policy in November, which I knew meant my roof's days were numbered. My policy renews each September in the height of hurricane season. And because I didn't want to wait for the new company to make me replace the roof, especially during the summer, I decided to bite the bullet and get it replaced. I got quotes from four companies, and Trust Roofing gave us the lowest price for both the roof and the gutters. Since my in-laws needed a new roof as well, I asked our salesperson Gavin if we could get a discount if they did both houses. Gavin lowered our price by $800 - and also included a free solar attic fan (which normally costs $1000) if I mentioned their Facebook ad. They got me on their schedule within a week, and installation took just one day. The next day, they installed the new gutters. The project manager kept in touch with me via text (since I couldn't easily answer the phone with my baby in my arms), they provided a link that showed photos of the progress in real time. I noticed the attic fan wasn't there, and it had apparently been overlooked because it hasn't been checked off in the contract (but was written in). They quickly installed it once I mentioned it. They cleaned up everything very well and we passed our city inspection with no problem. It was such a seamless process. With the invoice, I could either pay with my checking account information, or with a credit card. We chose checking so we wouldn't have to pay the 3.5% credit card fee. Overall this was such a painless experience, and I would happily recommend them to anyone who needs a new roof.

It turned out they are a great SALES company with no integrity. The initial installation went smoothly but things started to pop up after the installation. First, they were supposed to install an extension so I could run a generator should the Duke System go down. After the installation, they told me that my breaker box was maxed out and would cost me an extra $2,100 to replace it. It would have been nice to know when their Solar Max electrician came to inspect my home BEFORE they did the installation. The second thing is the most egregious, The salesman said I would receive a 30% tax break when I filed my taxes. I told him that I was retired with a fixed income. He promised my payments would not exceed a certain amount as long as I gave the tax rebate back to the lender. However, he did not mention that as a retired person, with a fixed income and no W2, there would be no tax rebate. I did not find this out until I filed my taxes with my tax attorney. No W2, no rebate equals a Higher Monthly Electric Bill, an additional $100/month. I called and spoke with the Operations Manager twice. He promised they would get to the bottom of this and return my call. Two months later, and no callback. If I could rate it no stars, I would. I strongly suggest you find a reputable company. This company is not.

We contracted…read morewith Ridge Max Roofing in Tampa to replace our existing shingle roof with a metal roof on our large farmhouse-style home, seeking a long-term upgrade with a lifetime guarantee. The project cost was significant--nearly six figures--and we were promised a 6-7 day installation by a highly experienced, professional metal roofing crew. The initial sales experience with Mike was positive. He was professional, responsive, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, execution fell far short of what was sold. What was represented as a one-week project extended to nearly a month. The assigned supervisor, Eduar, spent limited time actively supervising the work, frequently remaining in his truck on the phone or managing repeated trailer issues in and out of our driveway. The crew itself was subcontracted, had completed only four metal roofs prior to ours, spoke no English, and lacked basic equipment--including ladders--which they repeatedly took from our property without permission until Ridge Max was contacted directly. Jobsite cleanliness and safety were unacceptable. Our pool and lanai were left covered in debris that we ultimately had to clean ourselves. The crew regularly worked after dark on a steep roof using cell phones for light, creating a serious safety concern that required intervention. Beer cans were later found on our property, which the supervisor acknowledged purchasing for the crew. Communication deteriorated after the first few days when Ridge Max reduced crew resources and continued to supply faulty equipment. Promised timelines were repeatedly missed, and concerns were consistently raised without meaningful resolution. We were pressured into purchasing attic fans with the assurance they would be installed at no charge; however, installation was delayed for weeks and nearly placed in a highly visible front-facing location rather than the agreed-upon rear placement. After escalating concerns to the original salesperson, a second supervisor was sent who acknowledged our dissatisfaction and stated the company "owed us at least a steak dinner." Despite requests, the owner declined to contact us or visit the project. We were asked to leave a five-star review and told a gift card would be sent--this never occurred. While the crew returned once to address outstanding items, numerous scratches and signs of rust remain on our new roof. Overall, the workmanship and project management did not align with what was marketed as a premium, professional installation. Buyer beware. Ridge Max Roofing did not deliver on its stated promise to "protect what matters." Based on our experience, the company prioritizes its bottom line over quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

Less than a year later the paint had faded making the front section of my home above our front door look like it had the measels. I began requesting repar in September of 2024. It's still not done mid June, 2025. I've had two of their staff come look at the damage, document it, and promise to order materials. The most recent visit was in March. I've place numerous callls and texts. I've received numerous promises, broken promises, and postponements. The crew manager will not answer or return my calls. I finally got ahold of someone in the office this morning and they told me they hadn't even ordered the material yet. They told me they ordered in last November. I've been a contractor and hired many companies in my 50 years of doing business in the trades. This contractor is the worst I've dealt with regarding customer service. They apparently have no value in taking care of their customers once the job is paid for. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR ROOF!
