They have the absolute worst customer service. When I hired them they told me the project would…read moretake a total of 10 business days. The project actually took approximately 2 months. Workers would come and go as they pleased, and there would be some weeks where workers did not show up at all. I would have to call and complain before work would start again. No one called and provided me an update as to what was going on with the project and whenever I called the office the receptionist would indicate someone would call me back later that day. No one ever called me back, not once. I probably called upwards of 6 times with questions to no response. Moreover, I had the contractor come out to give me an estimate for another project. He came out weeks after my request and after meeting never sent me the estimate. They are also insanely expensive. I will never use this company again. The only positive thing I can say is that the work was done correctly.

Here's the deal. I was buying a house with a crawl space. In addition to my general home…read moreinspection, my realtor recommended I get a structural inspection since the house was built in the 30's. Just to be proactive and double check. For only $100, they'll give you a report and piece of mind. NOT. They came out on a Monday to do the inspection. My "inspection period" on my contract ran out on Thursday...I was assured by the inspector that I would have a report by Thursday and at least a phone call from the engineer by Wednesday evening with at least some general info (i.e. the house is falling down don't buy it) After at least 6 phone calls and conversations with Linda (receptionist), and an angry e-mail to the company, I finally received the report Friday at 4:45pm. Their customer service was AWFUL the entire time. Even after 3 phone calls, I was STILL explaining my situation to Linda (did she really not remember??), and the engineer Scott, basically called me a liar several times. At one point, they actually stopped answering my calls. On top of that, the report indicated $20,000 worth of damage and repair. Cue: panic....especially considering it was now the weekend. That following Monday, my dad and I both put phone calls into Wisdom for more information on the report, and no phone calls were ever returned. I hired another structural company (Dansco) to come out and do another inspection on Tuesday. (it was more expensive...but totally worth it)...and their report was starkly different. Only about $5,000 of repair. Kind of convenient that Wisdom actually does the work and Dansco only does inspections. Clearly this is a case of Wisdom trying to scare me into unnecessary repairs for their own benefit. Pay the extra money for Dansco to do your structural inspection.

I'd definitely not recommend this individual…read more He was hired to provide an architectural inspection report for a new home. I basically did all the work. Now me not being an engineer I wasn't exactly sure what he needed to see. I had a folder of many pictures. I shared with him via Google drive. Now if you're an expert and the photo is not something that's considered archducal, no need to analyze it. Just flip past it. The "many phone calls" from June 17 through September 11. I calculated both incoming & Outgoing to 62 min. 1 hr and 2 min. I back up my phone logs. I kept the calls short and infrequent as he bills for every millisecond. A few times i had to real him back to task because he was going on about his passion and his work up north. When on premises & on the phone. As I reiterated his own word back to him "He's expensive and time is money!" As I respect this fact to a degree. It's the nickel & dime aspect I find off putting. I requested all the permits from the country and provided them to Mark, he didn't even see the seal/signature. I had to point it out to him. Mark came out with his little point and shoot cam. Took a few shots, poked his head up through the attic access took maybe 2 or 3 shots. I requested the plans/ specs from the builder and requested them to cut a hole in the ceiling, I videoed a 1 min clip of the area with 4k video & provide it for review. After all was said and done I waited for a written report that never came. Part of the logged calls I mentioned earlier was me trying to obtain a report as a vague verbal is absolutely useless. At the end of the day I paid this individual a large sum and got useless information. The minute I expressed my discontent with the situation, as I was extremely upset. His reply was "I don't like your attitude and I'm not inclined to help you." He got paid & I recieved nothing but fluff.

He made this technical process understandable and convinced me the repair could be done safely, obeying all applicable codes and upgrading the affected part of my home to modern codes. Mr. Densmore produced clear drawings quickly and economically, and made sure I understood his work thoroughly. I respect his precision and professional presentation. My dog liked him too.
