I had hired Beryl for a home inspection and was immensely impressed with their professionalism, timeliness, attention to detail, and most of all knowledge. Due to a home & termite inspection, my daughter needed to have her home examined by a structural engineer. The original home inspector indicated that there might have been damage to the trusses of her home from termites. (I was the one who hired them and was there for the structural inspection). Beryl Project Engineering was recommended to me and now I understand why!! They were great! They were prompt, very thorough, professional and courteous. They provided a complete inspection report which gave us peace of mind as to the structural integrity of the home. When we got a prospective home inspected the original inspector noted termites and possible foundation problems to the house, and recommended we get a structural foundation inspection. I contacted Beryl for help with a HUD 302K loan inspection. This is a special type of loan which can include major repairs in the loan amount. As part of the process a HUD consultant is called in to inspect the property to ensure the repairs are exactly what is needed. Leo came out and did this inspection. He was familiar with this special type of inspection and helped me understand how it worked. The inspection detailed and systematic and he explained everything that he found. Before putting an offer in on my first home, I had some concerns regarding cracks throughout. Leo conducted a thorough structural inspection and advised the cracks were due to bad stucco and other minor construction flaws. He made suggestions as to what I needed to address immediately and what I could do to prevent further cracking.
