Look no further you can't go wrong with Kevin (Bennett Property Inspection)!!!! Kevin showed up early and ready to get started, he even helped me find areas to blue tape for my pre-escrow walk-through. Kevin was detailed in his verbal explanation of items he found as we walked through the house and I was quite pleased. A day or two later I received his written report via email ... WOW ... talk about impressive! The report was easy to read / understand, detailed and included numerous photos. His pricing is reasonable and is the epitome of professional. Thank you a Kevin!! read more

I used Bennett property inspection, based on Yelp reviews, and I couldn't be happier with Kevin's services. Purchasing a new home is stressful, and wanting to know what's right and wrong with it is crucial. Kevin did an outstanding job...unbelievably thorough!!! With little time to get this done, his time frame was on point and on time. Turn time on the report was less than 24 hours. His price for inspection was BELOW what I was expecting, which included a wind mitigation report. Great work, great price, great company! read more

I originally called Bennett Home inspections based on the excellent reviews I had read.I met with Kevin Bennett at a property I was looking at.His input, inspection, professionalism and knowledge were unparalleled:particularly when looking at an older home. The report was easy to understand and extremely detailed and helpful. Ultimately,I did not buy that home--and recently contacted Bennett again to inspect another property. Again:Kevin's punctuality-detailed scheduling and spot-on inspection process can't be beat.He has always allowed time for my questions and has been extremely informative:finding details I know I would miss. A valuable service--well prepared reporting and excellent customer service!! Thank you read more

Kevin Bennett must be the most honest and professional inspector on this business. His inspection was meticulously performed and he supplied a super complete and well elaborated report. He see things that I never imagine someone would check... He also did a wind mitigation that saved me thousand dollars on my insurance!! The insurance company was very impressed by his report. And even after the inspection he took my call to give me some advice on some of my concerns. Highly recommended. Thank you for the great experience! read more

First off, anyone that has ever been a first time home buyer knows how stressful the entire process can be. Kevin Bennett made this part of my journey very pleasant. Before I even knew that my offer on the house had been accepted, I did my due diligence in searching for the best people/companies that I may have to use along the way (i.e. home inspection, termite inspection, home owners insurance, etc.). Of course I turned to yelp.com because hearing testimonials from real people will influence my opinions a lot more than a fancy website with pretty pictures. That being said, lets get to Kevin. After my first email interaction requesting a quote, Kevin had responded to me in just under 2 hours (not bad since I sent the email at 5 am). He was very knowledgeable and explained what his cost would be and what it included. Since I am a pretty frugal person, I opted to have the 4 point inspection and the wind mitigation as well as the standard home inspection. Saving money in the long run with insurance credits definitely helps. We stayed in contact for several days and once my offer was accepted and the contract was drawn up, we set a date for the inspection. I was thinking I would have to rearrange my schedule to make this happen, but to my surprise it was scheduled for the next day (a day I already had off of work). Kevin set the appt for 1130 am. After speaking with my realtor, I needed to reschedule for a half hour earlier. This was not a problem. Kevin was prompt in his arrival to the property and wasted no time in getting to work. Before I knew it, he was inspecting EVERY inch of the property with camera in hand. Documenting everything, he then went through another walkthrough with me. He explained what I was looking at and let me know whether or not it was cosmetic or something I needed to be concerned with (luckily there wasn't much more than cosmetic). His services will be recommended to friends, family, and internet users should anyone need a good, thorough inspection in the Tampa Bay area. Thanks again for the great job. read more

Bennett was thorough and precise with his inspection. The report included enough examples to validate any claim. He did the job on short notice. Worth every penny. A+++++ work Thank you read more

Kevin made our home inspection very easy and comfortable. As first time home buyers, the whole process was very foreign and a little scary to us. Kevin thouroghly examined and explained all aspects of our house, and offered his advice on things to fix or change in person and in the report. He also double checked areas of concern that we had when he was finished with the inspection, something we very much appreciated for some peace of mind. Kevin also was very understanding, as the original day of our inspection we were unable to get into the house and he rescheduled with us no issue (and didn't charge us a fee!). The report was sent to us in less than 24 hours, which we feel was very fast. I would highly recommend him for inspections, and will be using him in the future. read more

We weren't able to be there for the inspection, but Kevin did a great job with our realtor. He provided a detailed report that is accessible online which is important since we bought the house from another state. Kevin's report also gave us a discount to our wind insurance and for being a military family. read more

We used Kevin for a new construction build that sadly turned out not to be anywhere near ready for inspection/closing (builder issue), but despite the surprise he still followed through and gave us a thorough report and assessment of the unit as it was, even though this required much more work on his part than would normally be expected of a brand new home closing inspection. He was extremely helpful and compassionate in person throughout the inspection, and the report he provided afterwards was thorough and easy to understand. His attention to detail was outstanding and the photos provided in his report were clear and large enough to see what he was referring to. I saw many inspection report formats from neighbors who used different vendors for the same service in the Tampa/St Pete area and Kevin's was by far superior to all others. Highly recommend. read more

Kevin with Bennett Property Inspection is amazing!! I emailed him on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend and he responded within an hour. He did an inspection for a condo my husband and I are buying as well as a property my parents are buying. He completed both a general inspection and also a four point inspection. His reports were incredibly thorough, straightforward, and detailed. Not to mention he had them emailed to us within 24 hours! We highly recommend his services. Thank you, Kevin! read more

Bennett Property Inspection did a great job from start to finish. The ease of setting up the appointment, coordinating documentation, and the quality of reporting were all top notch. If you're looking for competent and professional inspectors then call Bennett property inspectors. They came on time and did a 4 point inspection with roof mitigation. They spent time going over ever little detail of the house we were purchasing. You could tell they knew what they were talking about and gave me good advice of cost of repairs. I would definitely hire them again! read more

I found Kevin on Yelp based upon his high reviews. I reached out to him and received an immediate response. During the entire process, he was always quick to respond to any questions I had. He easily worked around our schedule, as we were flying in from out of town. Kevin completed an inspection on 2 investment properties we were looking at - price was approximately $500 per home. He was punctual, thorough, gave us comments during the entire inspection process, comments at the end of the inspection, and within a day or two, provided a lengthy and detailed report with color photos. He was very easygoing and great to work with. Because of his thorough inspection, we avoided additional costly repairs on the properties. We will definitely use him again for our future investment property purchase opportunities in Tampa. read more

I couldn't have been more pleased with this company. I talked with Kevin on Monday, set an appointment for Thursday and Kevin and his dad did the rest. I was in the process of buying my first condominium and knew nothing about what a condominium inspection would include. I was pleasantly surprised with the thoroughness of their inspection. Rooftop a/c unit, roof condition report, exterior report as well as a thorough inspection of the unit itself. They talked with me while they were there, pointing out what would need attention in the future and less than 24 hours later I received a multiple page written report along with many, many photos of their findings Via email. No company maintains a five star rating without giving five star service. This company will always be on my go to list for myself, friends and family. Peace of mind at a very reasonable cost is what I received from Bennett Property Inspection. read more

Kevin was professional and prompt. He kept in touch throughout their whole process and provided a comprehensive report with high quality pictures and details about each potential issue. Highly recommended. read more

Kevin: THANK YOU! I know you have a super busy schedule and I was so happy to have gotten you to inspect the house we recently went under contract for last week. You were cautiously optimistic and pointed out all of the flaws in the house. I appreciate your knowledge and advice and honesty under this stressful period. Also, I know it can be difficult to juggle doing an inspection while also answering questions from the prospective home buyer and any other professionals out there the same day (roofer, electrician, etc) but you were so kind and generous with your time. Thank you for all of your help and your timely return of inspection and wind mitigation report. Three cheers for Kevin!! read more

BHI was a great experience for us. I feel so comfortable I know what I am getting into with the home I am trying to buy. I will definitely use them again. very responsive, professional, and the report was spot on. Call them, you wont be disappointed! read more

I found Bennett Property Inspection on Yelp and went with Kevin over a few other suggestions based on his reviews. WOW am I glad I chose Kevin. Prompt responses, a report that left NOTHING out as compared to previous home inspections I have had on other properties, and he got into every space in the home: attic, crawlspace, on the roof, entire yard, and the entire living space. Great report, lots of photos, and he also did my wind mitigation and 4 point. Kevin also took the time to walk with me and took the time to allow me to ask a lot of questions. I would highly recommend and will be using Bennett Property Inspection for my next home purchase. read more

We recommend this company 100%. He was punctual, very competitively priced, and THOROUGH. Our recent experience with this company came on the heels of using another inspection service in Pinellas county that charged hundreds more, spent half the time, and who employed 2 inspectors who were moody, rushed, and unwilling to answer the most general of questions. This inspector gave us a lot of comfort in his willingness to share his expertise and time and made the daunting process of purchasing a home much easier. His report went above and beyond with not only his findings but also included suggestions on how to make the repairs and what is a true repair versus an update. Very detailed yet organized. read more

Kevin was extremely professional from beginning to end. He got back to me promptly after I left the first message and gave us a discount for my husband being a first-time homebuyer. He also made time in his busy schedule to do our inspection that week - and on a Saturday! - and still managed to get us all three reports needed by Monday mid-morning. I am seriously impressed and so glad I found him! read more

Great experience! First time homebuyer with my husband. Kevin was able to schedule quicky. Was early to our appointment. Answered all our questions. Kevin was very professional and through with his inspection. I am very pleased with the results and the report provided.

We are new to the area and used Yelp to find a reputable home inspector. Bennett Property Inspection kept coming up as very reputable and we were not disappointed. He was responsive, punctual, timely and very professional. During the inspection, he kept me informed and was very open and honest. His report was thorough and extremely timely. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing this service. read more

Great guy. Did a good job with my inspection. No complaints at all.

Perfect!!! Thorough, meticulous, detailed oriented, tremendous acumen, and above all ethical and fair. A++++++++

I chose Kevin based on his reviews, and they proved to be accurate. He was prompt, friendly and professional. He completed my home inspection at a competitive price, and was very patient with walking me through each detail along with possible remedies. He even answered a few small repair questions not required by the inspection, which was quite helpful for a first-time homebuyer such as myself. Would definitely recommend. read more

very satisfied with our recent home inspection. we also opted for wind mitigation and WDO reports (wood destroying organisms; conducted via separate inspector/company). survey was very thorough, and all associated reports and pictures were compiled on the website within 24hrs. mr Bennett is very professional, as well as his inspections and he comes highly recommended. read more

Very happy with my inspection and wind mitigation. I would highly recommend Kevin. He was very thorough and very easy to work with. He answered all of the questions that I had and made the entire process very easy. He should get 5 starts alone for his excellent communication skills. I loved that a lot of the process was handled electronically. Being a Millennial, that is something that makes my life so much easier. read more

My comments relate to interactions with Kevin in the process of trying to schedule an inspection. I had received an email from Kevin with his inspection agreement referencing the date of my inspection. I thought we had an appointment scheduled and that the paperwork could be done at any point prior to the inspection date which was a couple of weeks away. I checked back with him about a week later only to find out that he had given my spot to someone else saying that he works on a first come first served basis. That would have been fine had he told me that in one of our phone calls or in the emails that he sent me. But, he did not. So, that is why I would only rate him two stars. I have experienced far better communication from service providers and recommend that Kevin change his practices so that he can earn higher ratings in the future. He was apologetic and seemed like a decent guy. I write this review in the hopes that he will accept it as constructive feedback that will inspire him to improve his communication. read more
