My father bought a new two door Impala from them in July of 1972. Great dealership, great car.

After their diagnosis, I was told the right control arm and struts needed to be replaced, and I was quoted around $900. Not only was the original issue still present when I drove away, but the experience got worse from there. I was told my struts would be replaced, but I was later informed shocks were done instead. I was also told the right control arm needed repair, but work was done on the left side instead. On top of that, my car key was damaged while in their possession. I was given conflicting explanations first that the key was already wobbly, then that it had to be taken apart because the battery was dead. Regardless, I ended up paying to replace my own key. When I immediately told Mike (the owner) that the original noise was still there, he asked me to bring the car back the next day. After looking underneath the vehicle again, I was suddenly told there were multiple additional problems that somehow weren't identified in the original diagnosis--and I was quoted another $1,100. At that point, I lost confidence and took my vehicle to the dealership for evaluation. I provided them with the paperwork from this shop, and based on what I was told there, the repairs I believed had been completed were not consistent with what I was charged/told had been done. I am now having the dealership properly repair my vehicle. This was an expensive, stressful, and frustrating experience involving poor communication, conflicting information, unresolved issues, and damage to my property. I would strongly encourage anyone using this shop to get everything documented clearly and verified.

They even went above and beyond by addressing a minor issue I hadn't mentioned!" Instead of: "They were fast." WARNING: DO NOT GO TO MOE TOWN AUTO. READ THIS BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. I leave reviews when my experience is either overwhelmingly good or overwhelmingly awful, and this one was beyond awful. My experience with Moe Town Auto was unprofessional, deceptive, and exhausting from start to finish, and I feel obligated to warn others. I came here because they were open late on Saturday and had mostly positive reviews. I now understand how those reviews must have been written before people saw what really goes on. This was a four-day nightmare. I called first, and the owner, Moe, answered the phone with no greeting and an attitude. I brushed it off and gave them a chance. When I arrived, no one greeted me. Moe sat at a desk watching videos and didn't acknowledge me until I spoke first. I explained everything wrong with my car. He quoted me $1,000, then dropped it to $800, which should have been my first red flag. He said his credit card machine was broken and that he only accepted CashApp or Zelle. When I tried to pay through CashApp, the transaction was flagged for potential fraud. I went through with it anyway because I wanted my car fixed. I have proof of every dollar I paid, $712 total, with ATM receipts, screenshots, and CashApp notes clearly showing I paid in full. Once they had my money, everything went downhill. I sat in that garage for over three hours watching random people in flip-flops and shorts walk around my car doing almost nothing. I have photos and video proof showing that nobody was doing real work. The shop looked more like a hangout than a place of business. They sprayed something on my engine, wiped it off, turned my radio up to "prove" it worked, and told me everything was fixed. When I questioned them, Moe said, "Come back tomorrow." So I did. Then again Monday. Then Tuesday. Then Wednesday. Four trips in total. Every day there was a new excuse. First he said parts were coming from Indiana, then from Ohio. Then one day he FaceTimed me from what looked like a hospital room saying he "hurt his eye" and to "come back tomorrow." After four separate trips and four different excuses, my car still wasn't fixed. To this day, I have no receipt (he claimed his computer was broken), no documentation of what parts were supposedly replaced, and a car that now drives worse than when I brought it in. It is louder, shakier, and all the same warning lights are still on. He even admitted he "sealed" the valve cover gasket instead of replacing it, even though I paid for a full replacement. I have recordings of our conversations, pictures of the empty shop, CashApp proof, and ATM receipts. Everything is documented. Moe Town Auto is not just unprofessional, it is dishonest. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, do not go here. There's nothing honest about a mechanic who takes full payment up front, avoids giving receipts, and strings you along for days with excuses and lies. I trusted this man because he looked me in the eye and spoke like a hardworking family man. I truly believed he was going to do right by me. He didn't. I was taken advantage of, and I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. I will be reporting this business to the Better Business Bureau and other consumer protection agencies. If you have experienced something similar here, I encourage you to do the same. Protect yourself. Learn from my mistake. Stay far, far away from Moe Town Auto. ~A customer who gave them every chance to do the right thing and got burned anyway.
