I wanted to get my friends a car starter. They are older and we live in Michigan and let's be real... you have to have one when you live in the arctic glove. :) When I started my hunt for the car starter I thought, "This is going to be super easy. Any major store will have one and then I'll just have them install it. Maybe 100 bucks. No big deal." Yeah, after stopping into multiple stores I soon realized that it was going to be much, much more than 100$. Also, what I found interesting is many stores offered the same exact starter, but they charged much more citing installation, labor, and this bypass/chip/module as the reasoning. I reached out to multiple people via Yelp. Six Companies to be exact, but they did not get back with me. Crazy, that in 2017 (almost 2018) that businesses do not get back to messages when their page states that they get back in 1 hour or less... In comes Dearborn Auto All 1. First, they were the only people to get back with me and I'm so glad they did! Al (the owner) has been getting back to all of my inquiries. Friendly quick service. That's a win in my book. ALSO, the price of the car starter (installation + parts + labor) was significantly less than all other places I have checked. Yeah. You heard. Quick friendly service and a deal. Say whaaaa?!? I know what you're thinking... must be an off brand car starter. Nope. Excalibur and Viper. My friends can attest to this, I know nothing about cars and car equipment? Hardware? But I have heard of Viper and Excalibur. If you knew me, you would know, that says a lot. I plan on taking my friends to the shop and getting the starter installed and grabbing a meal at the Dearborn Meat Market (per the suggestion of my foodie friend). My dad plans on getting an upgrade with his car starter through Dearborn Auto All 1 and I'm going to have them check out my starter that I purchased from Mr. Tunes. It's not awesome. Hopefully they can work their magic! I'll update the rest of the review after the install so I can give you a full picture of my experience. Update: We had such a good experience. It was about a two hour wait but we totally didn't care since we had lunch at the fabulous Dearborn Meat Market, stopped for Yemeni lattes and Sabaya (suh-buy-ya) at Qahwah House and took a walk around Dearborn Fresh! It's all right on the same road. We had a blast! Stopped back in to Dearborn Auto All 1 to pick the car up and the nice gentlemen took a few extra minutes to make sure my friend knew how to use her car starter. That doesn't seem like a big deal but this little place was slammed with customers. They could have easily tossed us the keys and sent us on our way. Another guy came out to move cars around to make sure we could get out and checked again to make sure we knew how to use the starter and all of the other features. Quality service. It's really these small things that keep customers coming back. My dad was able to get his remote upgraded for his car. They did it quickly and efficiently. He's a happy camper. A friend of mine recommended this place, thankfully! I needed to install a remote starter and tint my windows. These guys know what they're doing. I went to another place on Schafer and felt like it was shady and immediately left.
