Back in April I was getting gas in…read moreAnn Arbor and Clearview Auto Glass had some staff their repairing window chips - which have become a nightmare in MI with all the horrible potholes and road conditions. They repaired five different chips in my windshield flawlessly in about 10 minutes, contacted my insurance company and I paid nothing as it was covered by my auto insurance. My windshield looked great and I was happily on my way. Since then, my 2012 Nissan Cube - which is notorious for catching pebbles and debris due to its quite vertical windshield - had taken another hit and this time it cracked quickly. Having a $500 deductible and getting quotes of $518, $418, and $300 from other glass replacement companies, I contacted Ryan at Clearview Auto Glass today to see if there was anything they could do under the warranty that came with the repairs and/or if he could give me a quote for the windshield replacement. Because it was a new chip, it was not covered under the warranty, however, Ryan offered to contact a couple of the glass replacement companies that he works with to get a quote for me. In addition to looking for a cheaper quote, I also needed the glass replaced today or tomorrow as I'm leaving on a road trip late tomorrow night. Ryan called me back within 15 minutes with a quote of $240 from a company he works with who has a great reputation and could come to me tomorrow afternoon! Not only that, but after sharing with him that this would be the second windshield replacement in less than two years, Ryan advised me to talk with our insurance agent about additional glass coverage that would carry only a $50 deductible. I did and was able to make that change so that in the future, I will not have to pay out of pocket to replace the windshield. In addition to the quality work that was done on my windshield back in April, I am SO impressed with the level of service to find me a great price with another company for a service that he would make no money on! I will definitely be going back to them to have future chips fixed as between the crappy roads and my vertical windshield, I know it's unfortunately, inevitable. Definitely check them out!!

Windshield has, at this point, made a trip to Indiana and back with zero problems - in rain and heat! Came in today because my passenger side window was stuck all the way down and would not roll back…read moreup. I was sure it was the motor. Turns out it wasn't -- my tech checked both passenger and driver switches, and it turns out the master switch on the driver side was the problem. I agreed to a charge of $110, which was roughly half part and half labor. Done within a hour. However, once I got in my car and pulled it out of their garage, I parked my car in their lot to double check the switch. The driver side began giving me problems -- it would roll down but not back up. Passenger still working fine. Eventually the driver side stopped working altogether. I pulled back up to the garage, and the same tech came to check it out. He did try to say it was the motor, but once I politely told him that it can't be the motor because it still worked when re-tested with the old switch, he said he would ask his manager. Turns out they did not have any other switches available, so they couldn't replace it with another that functioned properly. The tech offered to roll the passenger window up with their switch, and then reinstall my old switch and refund my money. This was the best possible outcome without having the proper part available, so I agreed. I am extremely happy that a refund was offered without any attitude or fighting. I can't say that a refund will be offered in your particular circumstance, but I can say that this is a perfect example of great customer service. The tech did not act annoyed with me at all, which most other places tend to do when you question their work. The guy who seemed like the manager and the woman at the desk were also very nice. All in all, I think it's awesome that this place has reasonable labor rates and is willing to install the used parts they sell. That, combined with the great service I received today, warrants a positive recommendation!
