I have eaten at the Claremore location twice. They're busy, but get my food to me quickly. I will go again. Everything I've had is great. The onion rings are the best I've ever had. Always prefer to support local restaurants when we travel abs stopped for lunch on a trip from Missouri to Dallas. The potatoes are HUGE! I had mine with chili and cheese. They split it and put it under the broiler so the cheese melted completely. They bake their bread in-house so it is fresh. My husband got the Philip with cheese. Bread was toasted nicely. Definitely a better choice than the chains. And they are open on Sunday. read more

On a road trip from St. Louis to Austin, we had an opportunity to try Bill and Ruth's. It may not be the biggest restaurant in Pryor but we're sure glad we stopped for dinner. I am in town for 3 months on business. There are 3 places that deliver food. 2 of the are commercial chain Pizza joints. Then...there is Bill & Ruths. Burgers, Chili, Spaghetti, Spaghetti w/ chili, Baked Potatoes and sandwiches. Not just regular sammy's. Hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, baked sandwiches. I have had the Reuben. This is no ordinary Reuben. The meat, the cheese, the kraut. It's an amazing sandwich. Tonight was the hot Pastrami and Swiss. It was toasted on a wheat roll with cold shredded lettuce, light mayo and juicy pastrami. This my loyal Yelpers is a place to visit or order from when in the Pryor OK area. Best burger on the route from Dallas to Springfield, Mo! We stopped both ways. The first time my husband got the burger and I got a chicken gyro wrap (good but not anything to write home about). But my husband said the burger was great! On the way back, we stopped again since we knew it would be quick and better than fast food. I got the burger this time and I'm glad I did--one of the best I've had in awhile. You can't beat the price for the size and taste: $5.49 with cheese and all the toppings. It's a little awkward walking in to order because of the setup of the store. The workers are very friendly but don't make the ordering experience much better. They sorta act like everyone that comes in is a regular. But the food is pretty good. A little pricey though. I don't think the gyros are lamb either like real ones. Stopped in last night (Tuesday) for a chicken gyro (me) and a chicken parm sandwich (husband). It was quiet in there at 7pm during last night's storm, and had our food within 5 minutes. Their store is always clean, food tastes fresh, and, as a Greek girl, I love that there is somewhere local for me to get a gyro and a good slice of baklava. Who'da thunk? Husband liked his chicken parm and is excited to try something else on the menu next time we're there. I've been in a few times and usually stick with the gyro, but the turkey sandwich I've had was pretty good, too. Nice folks. read more

A few weeks ago was my first time at Bill and Ruth's. The sandwich I had then was a beef au jus which was very good. Wanted to try it again and my wife had turkey wrap and a I, a steak and cheese. My wife was very pleased with her wrap and said I want that again. My steak and cheese was also very good. So glad we went again and will be going back often from now on. I stay at a hotel 2-3 times a week for work and there's very few places that deliver in Pryor!!!!! I ordered food the first time it was fast and good they sent a menu along and charged a $2 delivery fee!!!!! The second time I ordered I ordered Chili hotdogs and was again charged $2 delivery fee!!!! The price for the chili dogs on the menu was $2.99 the price they charge me was $3.99!!!! I questioned it and was told that I had an old menu I said I just got the menu last week!!!!! So they sent a new menu and just wrote over the price of $2.99 and put in $3.99!!!!!!! Ok whatever Now this week I just want to place an order and now the fee for delivery went from two dollars to five dollars WTF!!!!! I was told any delivery past the Walmart which is like a quarter-mile away is five dollars so you charge three dollars more for less than a quarter-mile!!!!! Asked to speak to a manager was told there was no manager there so I told Them to cancel the order!!!! I can't seem to make up their mind on their prices I'm not going to deal with that!!!!!!!! read more

Not a bad place, just a little pricey. For a gyro, tabouleh, and water, it was almost $10. The gyro was tasty, but for a fast food type restaurant, would hope prices would be a few dollars cheaper (you order at the counter, then pick up your order at the counter). Not a bad place though. A lot of what everyone said is pretty accurate. The food is really good, my favorite is the Chicken Parmesan (queue the Payton Manning jingle), but it is a little pricey. Worth it? Well I'm not sure, but I've been back multiple times, so there's that. The ordering is a little akward, but just know that you walk up to the counter where the cooks are standing, wait for one of them to acknowledge you, usually just by looking at you inquisitively, and then you tell them what you want. Then you walk to the register and pay there. Then feel free to sit down, someone will bring your food to you if it's not super busy. I would reccomend, if you're looking for something relatively quick but an upgrade from the typical fast food. read more

After visiting other Bill and Ruth's in the Tulsa area, I was pretty well prepared for this to be more expensive than "fast food" sandwiches. But it's true what others say. Here you get two sandwiches and water for what most fast casual places charge for two combo meals at lunchtime. However, is it good quality fresh food and served quickly? Yes! So for me it's four stars. My BLT was very good. The first bite was disappointing because to me it tasted like Miracle Whip rather than mayo...luckily I don't despise Miracle Whip, but that was a shock (and I could be wrong on that too). The bacon was awesome and I'm not a big bacon person! It was crispy and delicious and the Texas toast was a great touch. My husband had the large veggie sandwich and was so pleased to find real avocado throughout, instead of some sad guacamole spread like many restaurants are doing recently. This is the best place I've found to eat in Pryor, especially if you're looking for healthy options. We loved finding homemade tabouli and baklava there! Such a nice change from the typical American food. There are plenty of options for everyone to find something they like. Excellent customer service and friendly owner. This unassuming spot, located in town on a major highway, has EXCELLENT Middle Eastern food in addition to the fare typically found on the menu of the Bill and Ruth's chain. Gyros, tabouli, hummus and pita offer a distinctively different and pleasant change from the normal lunch menu. The owner, a former IT specialist for a large corporation, has brought the very best of his heritage to the table here and has given Pryor something to boast about. This place was a welcomed change after being on the road with 3 kids for over 12 hours. It was nice to have fresh fruit and healthy salads and wraps instead of burgers and fries. The wait was a little longer than what you'd get at a fast food chain, but not by much. They also have burgers, reubens, gyros, soup, and baked potatoes. My husband and I love Bill and Ruth's. There are few good choices in Pryor, but Bill and Ruth's is truly a great choice, not just an okay choice because there is nothing else to pick from. There are healthy options, and the food is always very consistent. The owner is a great guy, always willing to make sure that your order is exactly right. The workers are friendly and do their best to put out tasty and always fresh food. I would like to see their soup portions become just a little bit more generous for the price, but other than that, I have no complaints. We feel fortunate to have Bill and Ruth's in Pryor. read more
