I walked in looking for a bike for my growing son for his birthday. Randy met us at the door and showed us what he had. Honestly it wasn't much due to COVID and shipping issues. but after spending some time with him and conversing we decided that we would buy from him. He showed us a Kona mountain Fire that was beautiful and exactly what we were needing. We also went to other bike shops but nobody showed the hospitality and customer skill that Randy has. We are very happy with our purchase. We got our son the Kona mountain bike and we didn't end up paying over a thousand dollars. Which I noticed at other bike shops either you were going to spend $500 or $2000 for a decent bike, no real middle ground. Great customer service! I took my mom in to get her bike fixed and they were very helpful with making sure not only that her bike was fixed, but also adjusting her seat height and handlebars to make her rides more comfortable for her. This bike shop has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in the Cottonwood area, my Mom would take me on single track rides all over Shasta/Tehama on our mountain bikes. She began "hangin out" with a great dude that worked there years ago and he asked how I felt about riding a BMX bike. He couldn't have been more dead-on! Been riding BMX now for 15yrs all because of one of their employees. Randy is also very friendly, even when he might be having a bad day, his customers come first. Came in with a bad rear derailleur cable after limping along on my daily commute to work this morning. Randy was superb, knowledgeable and friendly. I stopped by for a quick look at my chain etc and was told they are about a month out in work. I told him that was funny because my friend stopped by and he worked on her chain and a quick tune up in about 10 minutes. As I was leaving I saw him walk out to a lady's car to assess her bike. I guess it matters if you're wearing fancy bike clothes and have a fancy bike whether they'll help you or not. I won't be going back in a month, or ever! read more

These guys are very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm a big guy and wanted a bike that would be good quality, comfortable and affordable. They didn't try to pressure me into buying anything that I didn't want. They made recommendations and I picked what I wanted. Great customer service and quality of work is outstanding. They set me up with everything I needed. If they don't have it in stock, just ask and they'll get it in for you. I try to give my money to the local guys. Small shop, great results. Dale filled the tires on my mountain bike, and adjusted my seat my seat free of charge. He also gave me some good advice on how to convert my bike with road tires rather than purchasing an entirely new road bike. I will definitely go back and give this place my bike business! read more

A great place to get information and purchase a bike. Redding is blessed with miles of outstanding bike trails. Hence we have many bike shops. I do not fell we have a bad one. I chose Bikes ETC because they had the best value for my needs. And, they clearly understood my needs. My small purchase budget of $600 didn't seem to make a difference in service or time they spent with me. I have spoken with 3 different people there and always had good customer service. After 3 visits I purchased. And have been back 4 more times to get accessories and help. Others may not have the same set of requirements as I did, but rest assured; they will happily assist you to make a good decision. I will of course use their service department. I have also noticed that they seem to offer a wide choice of accessaries, and they are not always the most expensive. Such as the carrier I will purchase there. read more
