I Called the shop and asked how much to get a muffler welded onto my Engine [estimate 45.00 + shop…read morelabor] Then when I brought my **Bicycle** into the shop to have them Weld on a YZ80 muffler onto a Header to be mounted on the 2 stroke motor. The estimate went up to $120.00 *Including shop labor*. But His welder was out sick, So they had someone else work on it. It sat at their shop for 2 weeks waiting on the welder to get better. by the time the 3rd week rolled around Monday morning I was on the phone and the gentleman on the other end of the phone said he had another mechanic that new how to weld. Would I be all right with him doing the work, I said yes. 3 days later I was told I could pick it up. The Mechanic that worked on my Ride, He's such a Idiot! The welds are blobs and balls & pitted. Worst welding I have ever seen from a Newbie Welder! I had spent 20+ hours getting that Muffler to a Mirror finish and 3 separate coats of High Temp Gloss Black Baked in the oven at 300 degrees for 2 hours and wet sanded after each time before the next coat. It looked like a Black Mirror I loved it! The Welder decided on his own to re-paint my Muffler to it's original flat black using HTP and charged me 2x times the price of A can of High Temp Paint. The Mechanic was using the paint to cover up his poor job of welding. On top of this I was charged 157.29 for him to weld my Muffler & Paint my Muffler. Yes I took a Bicycle to a Motorcycle Mechanic to get a Motorcycle Muffler welded onto a 2 stroke motor for me. I've got over $2,000.00 into this ride. I was shocked at what he did to my ride and the price I was charged, I'll never send anyone to them.

I have been with this Bikes Etc. as my preferred bike shop since the mid seventies when they were next door to the original Cascade Theater. I remember Randy there before he became the owner I don't know how long ago. The shop has always been there for me in many times of need and times of pure pleasure. I have bought around 10 bikes from them over the years, one my custom Soma that Randy and crew built from the ground up listening to my ideas of what I wanted and them putting the expert touch to it's construction. It is such an awesome ride for the road. I just want to say thank you Randy and the Poly-Phosphate Filter for everything over the years. XoXo read more

I had Bikes Etc literally rebuild my Diamond Back Curaca over a period of time. I opted to replace components vs getting a new bike because the frame was designed to hold my weight. The staff at Bikes Etc did some superb work and I also had them do some custom wheels for me with tension spokes because I wanted a design which would enable me to ride longer without necessarily breaking down. Just wanted to let the staff know that I'm still riding that bike now in the Reno, NV area and enjoying the new terrain. Best of luck to Bikes Etc in 2012! Regards. read more

This is a really good bike shop. I've had a couple of things done there now and they've always been friendly and helpful. You know they're not trying to rip you off. I had them put a replacement crank on my bike a week or two ago, but today when I decided to go for a whole new crankset instead, they offered to buy back the crank they'd put on before without me even asking. That's just good customer service. read more

I arrived in US a few days ago and bought a 2nd hand bike. Took it to these guys and they were really, really great. They examined the bike before letting me know (& showing me) exactly what needed doing and then told me what it would cost. Really, really helpful guy and full of information. Randy and Dale helped me restore a 1952 Schwinn and what a job they did. They disassembled the bike and after the powder coating, chrome plating, and pinstriping was done, they reassembled it adding their own improving touches here and there. These guys know what they are doing and their prices are beyond reasonable. I can't say enough good things about this shop. read more

I have been going to Bikes etc. Since Al and Randy first opened there doors in 1985, I have made several bicycle purchases from them and have always taken any bike back for repairs or just general maintenance. Even after Al sold off Valley Cycle, And then sold Bikes etc. to Randy. 100% Quality and Service, I always recommend Bikes etc. to any one. read more
