This place has gone wayyyyy wayyyy downhill over the years. This past weekend I went for a friend's birthday celebration. As a preface, I was the designated driver so I was 100% sober through all of this. This is what happened:
1. Group of friends with a preordered table arrives and speaks to the bouncers
2. Group of friends need to wait for about 15 minutes in the rain because not one of the bouncers wanted to deal with checking the reservations. Instead, one bouncer told another bouncer who told another bouncer and so on, just to use their phone or walkie-talkie to check on the reservation.
3. While waiting for the bouncers to do their job and check the reservations so that we could enter and be seated at our already paid for table, multiple other bouncers yelled at us to get out of the way, yet couldn't tell us where to wait as the other bouncers had taken one of our phones to use as a reference to the reservation that had been made in advance (Like who would be ok with someone taking their phone and making you go to an unidentified location without it?!? Smartphones are expensive and strangers cannot be trusted to hold an expensive personal item when you cannot see them...)
4. One bouncer got physical with me and the other small girls. He basically forcefully pushed through us (there was enough room for him to walk around and not have to push girls 1/4th of their size and weight to the point that I almost fell). I call what he did physical assault as he definitely did not care if he hit us so hard that we fell. I also work at a prison and deal with correctional officers daily, and I have never seen such blatant disregard for a person's safety for absolutely no reason (We were not blocking him from getting to his destination. He could walk around us easily.) Plus we were paying customers!!
5. After the bouncers finally did their job- checked our reservation and let us past the rope- we walk to the door where two bouncers (very friendly) checked our IDs. After we were cleared to go in (the bouncer there opened the door for us), another bouncer or club worker, whoever it was came running to us and said that we were not allowed to enter and we had to leave while pushing us to the rope that was not unlocked (another potential injury on a customer who may have fallen over as it is impossible to physically walk through a rope). We asked why since 3 bouncers confirmed our reservation and let us go to the door. The answer? Nothing. Silence and ignoring our inquiry. Just saying that we were not allowed in. Why? who knows?
6. Our friend (who is a male so maybe that's why he got an answer to the same question) asked what the problem was and said that the other bouncers had cleared us to go in and that we (ladies) were part of the already-paid-for table reservation. So the 2 nice bouncers let us back in, but (surprise-surprise) the bouncer who forcefully and physically just pushed us almost over the rope DID NOT APOLOGIZE. Instead the 2 nice bouncers apologized and empathized with us about how ridiculous our situation was. And these 2 bouncers were actually nice to their paying customers (basically the only 2 employees that were nice).
7. Lastly, we were led to a table that wasn't ours which became apparent when the bottle girl explained that it was not our table.
Basically, this place sucks. It used to be lightyears better in previous years. In the past the employees were respectful, not physically assaultive, considerate of their paying customers, and more organized. NOT ANYMORE!
Hey, if you want to waste your money, get physically assaulted, yelled at for no reason, ignored (maybe this was just directed towards females since it seemed to be in my group of friends), sent to the wrong table, and overall have the WORST start to what was supposed to be a fun organized celebration, then maybe you don't mind going here. Otherwise, I recommend you go elsewhere because this place has become one of the WORST NIGHTCLUBS IN BOSTON!!!! The only reason we even stayed was because we ALREADY PAID FOR A TABLE and it was my best friend's ORGANIZED BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. I intend to NEVER GO BACK!!!! read more
