5 STOLEN PHONES IN ONE NIGHT. me and my girlfriend went to legacy nightclub to support our community performers and celebrate a friends birthday....little did we know we should've zipped our purses as soon as we got there. Some people said that they had their cellphones in their pockets, we had it in 1 purse, y'all are not safe! It happened wayyyy too quick. The manager took our phone numbers and names in case they show up, but checking the location of the phone, they got away. My friends and I popped into here after leaving another place we weren't a fan of the music of. It was Friday just after 11 and they were almost empty if it wasn't few a handful of people already there. Hesitant if it was going to pick up, we opted for a round of drinks which tasted cheap but did the job. By the time we finished them it was filled to the brim with people. My friends and I had a wonderful time surrounded by even better people. Would definitely come again although wished there wasn't a cover fee even though it was only $15 per person. read more

This club is the best. I'm here every Saturday and it's always a good time. They bring in great DJs and the bartenders are the best. The layout ensures that there is plenty of dancing room, plenty of space to be a wallflower and easy access to the bar. $20 cover charge is a little steep but I'll pay it every week! One star because I can't leave a review w/ 0 stars.. Came to buss it down fridays. Entered just fine and enjoyed the night just fine. But once it came to closing it was another story. We got our coats and as we were putting them on, the bouncer was forcing us towards the exit. No problem, we moved towards the exit; but he continued to follow us, forcing us out. I turned around and told him we're leaving there's no reason to follow us. He continued to mouth off as we ascended the stairs. Now we're on the sidewalk, public space; well here comes the bouncer trying to make us leave the sidewalk. Wtf? This is a public sidewalk.... There's no reason why he singled us out. We were not trashed in any way... sad to have this experience when this should be a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. Your job as a bouncer is to make sure no underage are entered, and that you're monitoring to make it a safe space. The fact that I can't even come to the only LIT gay club w/o having an issue is trash. You're a bouncer, know your boundaries and who to single pitch, because it's not me. This is my favorite gay bar in Boston, all the bartenders are absolutely wonderful, but Laurie stands out against the rest! Fascination is a bimonthly event that I tend to go to and Laurie is not only professional, but she remembers her customers and brings a friendly and playful mood to her interactions. Pretty good spot. This place sort of reminds me of a cross between Underbar and Whiskey Park. Basically this is Royale's cave in terms of location. The line is significantly better than Royale's as it has not yet been tainted by tourist infestation. We rolled in with 15 people and the manager really took care of us. I got a couple of bottles of goose for $300 total before tip which is a steal in Boston. The our server was super nice and we had a bouncer to prevent unwanted guests from climbing up to our private area. A few downsides are that cell reception isn't all that strong and the place didn't have all that many girls (thinking it was just a slower night and i think it will get much better once September rolls around and college students are back). Also found it a little weird that there were TV's with the Red Sox game going in the middle of club atmosphere. Most people there had tables, which there are an abundance of. Overall it was a good time. Spent my morning throwing up in a trash barrel during my softball game. read more

This club is excellent, and props to whoever the DJ was for playing a mix of fun contemporary pop songs like Rain on Me and Love Again and more traditional club music. The atmosphere definitely skews towards gay men and there wasn't really that many women (and the ones who were there were straight allies), so keep that in mind if you're a WLW like me looking to dance. The door fee was $20 at opening on a Saturday night, and they do take credit card which was a plus. This club was a hit...and a miss...for me. The furniture looks very much like the Estate: Gold leather that wants to include class, but it is too stained scratched and old. I *swear* the couch SIGHED when we sat down! They created a cool visual with the glass prism and ceilings that reflect the flashing lights so well. Unfortunately, the crowd they seem to attract would be more at home on the Jersey Shore. It is not unheard of to see someone PASSED OUT. A few of us went on a Sunday. We thought that it was going to be Hot Mess Sundays but it was actually Kompa and a little Top 40. The venue is a little tricky to find, but if you know where the blue man group is then you'll find it fine. I called beforehand to RSVP to get a discount on the cover. It was only $10. The club itself is very spacious. The bathrooms are very nice and clean. There is a good amount of seating (and the lounges/couches are very comfy). The vibe was nice. Not chaotic like some other clubs I've been to. You could actually sit and enjoy the music while watching the dance floor if you wanted. There were no drunk girls fighting or falling all over the place. Security was there, but not so obvious that they were distracting. Me and a friend got Patron shots that came to $22 which wasn't bad to us. My fiancée is Haitian so dancing to Kompa was very romantic. They had 2 DJs. One was spinning all the kompa and socca and the other was playing Top 40. I wish they played a little more Top 40, Hip-hop and recent dance hits (rihanna calvin harris, beyonce, fetty wap ). Also its hard to find info about them or the club online. You have to search a bit to find them on FB and not much info is given. But overall me and my friends had a great night! I've only been here for gay nights so I can't say what the club is like on any night that isn't Friday. Each time I've been on the guest list so it was easy enough to get in before 11. The crowd is a lot of fun and the music is pretty good. As someone who doesn't listen to the radio at all, I really liked the music because there were newer songs as well as a few good remixes of older songs (e.g. pre-melt down Britney Spears). Drinks can get expensive if you need to drink a lot to feel a buzz, ranging from $8-12. I noticed some bartenders make stronger drinks than others. If you want stronger drinks, go to the bar straight across from the entrance. Weaker drinks (in my experience) were served to the left. read more

I hated that I had to pay $20 for cover for being 11 mins after 11:30, but whatever! I had a good time. I went last Friday night so it was Soka/African music night. There was some other popular songs but unfortunately no Fetty Wap was played We had to park a little far. But the venue is nice and its huge! I decided to give this place a shot during Bussdown Fridays. DJ Frenchy was amazing! They really knew how to work the crowd. Bartenders were great. Unfortunately, Drinks here are extremely overpriced. It's so bad that I had to give this experience 2 stars. I paid about $25-$28 for a Bombay Gin and tonic lol. That's more than a craft cocktail using top-shelf liquor at a fancy speakeasy in NYC. What's going on??? I'm guessing this is what happens when there are very few options for gay nightlife events in Boston. -phew- read more

Oyyy vey, this space has such potential but the crowd, bartenders, bottle service girls,...well, pretty much everything, has rapidly gone downhill. I went there when they had first opened last year, and they were full of classy clientele, attentive bottle service girls, and they actually had good music. Now, I have a good feeling that they must be having a hard time getting decent DJs to come and spin there because last time I was there, the music was plain awful. Honestly, I couldn't even stay for more than 20 minutes. On top of that, the crowd now looks like Snooki wannabes and most recently when I was there a girl was falling asleep on the couch. They didn't think to cut her off? On top of that, the last time I used bottle service there, the girl just disappeared for 30-45 minutes at a time with our bottle. That's a buzzkill in itself. I would be doing a big disservice to everyone on here if I lied and said they had potential to be great because at this point it is looking pretty grim. They won't be around much longer. A few friends and I went here last night for a birthday party. It was ok. My biggest qualm with the place is that their drinks are very weak. And while not super pricey, I feel like after $30 for 3 long island iced teas, I should at least feel somewhat of a buzz. I didn't feel any different than when I entered. The staff was all really nice from the bouncers to the bartenders. I would go back, but not before I drank enough not to have to resort to the watered down beverages this place sells. read more

Guilt is your one-stop for an evening of hilarity. Gogo dancers to the left of me, waitresses in corsets serving a myriad of glow-in-the-dark drinks to my right, and a dance circle forming around skimpy-dressed obsese women, snapping their fingers and yelling "Ohhh yeah, iz hawt up in hear!!" More skin-tight zebra dresses per capita than any club in the world. This place attracts a different clientele than the typical guidos and guidettes at Gypsy, not sure if it's a better alternative though. Great music, friendly staff (the coat check girl particularly), and a decent size for dance floors. The cover charge is pretty steep though ($20). It's not as nice as Gypsy Bar, but you can't go to Gypsy every weekend. read more

We booked the venue for an event and they refused entry to almost half of our guests. They were asking people if they'd had anything to drink that day, and most had (but they were all 21+). People who admitted they had consumed alcohol were bounced automatically, even if it was only one drink. Do not book them for events! They will screw you over! read more

I like this place. I've been a handful of times for various events. The space is just beautiful. I like the layout. You don't feel awkward walking in and suddenly being thrown into things. You can just ease in here. Survey the room. Then really make your "official" entrance to the party. I'm a fan of Temple and Excess in this space. Went to a private event this evening that was also great. Don't know about any of the other nights that go on, but on a weeknight, it's a lovely space and the staff are friendly. I have to give this place a 5 stars for its customer sericve. I left my coat there and didn't realize I had until the following morning ( I was too drunk to remember I had brought it). I called them on Monday and left them a voicemail hoping somehow it had been found. They called me Wednesday and told me they had found my coat and when I pulled up to pick it up they brought it out to me. Other than great customer service my friends and I had a blast there. We had VIP and were taken care of. Many of us could not remember much of being there until the following day when we noticed pictures we had taken on our phones. Guilty as charged. read more

Unlike the other yelpers who have reviewed Guilt, I did NOT go on gay night. One of my promoters wanted me to come out on a Saturday night, and being cursed with the inability to say "no!" to anything, I [happily] obliged. This is another one of those Boston clubs that's below ground level. The lighting was beautiful and this particular night, it reminded me of 1OAK, one of my favorite clubs in Vegas. While i've been cursed by not being able to say no to anything, I've been blessed with the ability to befriend cute bartenders. This night was no different and things definitely worked out in my favor. I was having a great time, but unfortunately my night was shot to hell around 12:30. I was sitting at one of the couches located in the middle of the dance floor talking with my friend and these 2 girls when all of a sudden, this guy started eyeing us. I pointed him out to the girls and they assured me that he was not with them or their friends. The next thing you know, my face and shirt are completely drenched and my friend is standing there soaked as well. That same guy that was eyeing us threw his drink at me/us. Without hesitation, or a second thought, i was up and grabbing this guy by the collar, about to start pummeling his face. Had it not been for this random girl getting in between us, it would have ended badly for this guy. I found security and they, in turn, called the owner. We searched for this guy and after 30 minutes, ended up throwing him out. They were apologetic, which was fine, but I ended up leaving shortly after. Aside from that incident, I really enjoyed this place and without a doubt would totally come back! read more

I finally came here for my first time on New Year's Eve. The reason why I haven't been here before is because their website is not informative at all. I could never figure out when they were open, what type of music they played, who were some of the DJs playing there, etc. because the website doesn't really have anything on it. Nevertheless, the club was fun. The dancefloor was a good size for a club in Boston and they played good music the whole night. Granted I didn't go on a regular night so I'm not sure how different my night was from the norm. read more

Guilt is lackluster. Point blank. The bottle service girls are amateurs, they have a 20 minute fashion show where no one is allowed to move/dance/buy drinks, basically anything you do to have fun at a club for 25 minutes even though everyone complains and tells them they are not having fun. The promoters are also TERRIBLE. They fight each other for dibs at the guest list then don't deliver on any promises they make. Overall, poor customer service, and I won't be spending my money at Guilt again! read more

What can I say, I used to be a hardcore clubber - Pacha, Ibiza, Avalon, Space, you know it. Boston is small - well all know that, but as far as Boston clubs go, Guilt is the best. Its the only nighclub in Boston where the crowd is stylish and you don't get hassled at the door. The cover charge ($20) can be easily bypassed if you simply get to know the promotion team. Come here Saturday and look for the most well dressed people there - they will be happy to take care of you and make you feel like a VIP. I always do my birthdays with this promotional team. TJ Green, Jeff Raymond, Lenny Gold, and Chris Angel are the best promotional team in Boston, even if you are not a 'club' person - this place won't make you realize that all clubs are cheesy or that its a complete nightmare to get in - rather the opposite. The place is always packed and the bouncers outside actually let people in instead of trying to build up a line to make the place look cool. Huge points for that. read more

The actual "men in motion" show was decent, uncomfortable for someone who doesn't like their head shoved into a males groin area but the rest of the girls I went with had an amazing time, but for the bar/ bartender part, that's a different story, I ordered a simple cranberry juice with vodka in it, turned my head for two seconds to grab a straw and saw that the bartender just put in cranberry juice and nothing else, then charged me $10 and winked at me. I was appalled that they did this to me and another person in my party, I'll never go to guilt again because of this horrible service, it's a shame because it looked like it could of been a fun bar to stay at but I wasn't going to get ripped of over drink again. read more

Went here for the first time Friday night. The decor is awesome. The staff were super-friendly and accommodating. The sound was good. But parking is ferociously expensive if you don't get here early enuf for a street space. Also, the first 3 drinks I ordered, they didn't have the ingredients. A mojito, I can understand; not everyone has fresh mint. But a dirty martini? That only requires olive juice. Also no margaritas with salt. What is a margarita without the salt? It's like french fries without ketchup. :) I ended up with a cosmo. Oh well. My night wasn't ruined. Just sayin'. read more
