For 5 bucks, I received a huge ego boost and a greater understanding of why Boston loves to dance! A word to dates: if you come here with a special someone, expect that you and your partner will dance with other people. Don't worry: it's nothing personal! After the lesson, the studio turned into an open dance featuring live music from Chelsea Reed and the Fairweather Five, an amazing swing band from Philadelphia! The floor was jumping and everyone was having a blast cutting a rug. I personally asked to dance with several people and was surprised to find how gracious and encouraging they were in accepting and subsequently dancing with my square self. The dancers here are very courteous and interested in the improvement of everyone in the club. The snacks and water were provided in copious amounts. The community is strong in this one. I'll be back, Blues Union, and I'll be bringing more people who are interested!

DJs, instructors, people who can bake, and dancers of all skill levels come together to have fun in each others' company for an evening. If you don't know how to dance, or come from out of town and don't know anyone, people will go out their way to dance with you and get to know you. If you're already an experienced dancer, people will recognize that and be happy to explore a shared passion with you.

We came here without a reservation for weekday dinner and were seated without a wait. Their 4-7PM…read more$1 oyster special was tasty and fresh, but we were disappointed to find that the oysters were quite small and they limited us to 12 oysters per person. We got appetizers to share and they were all delicious. We got the beet hummus, Vietnamese chicken tenders, and cauliflower. They were all well-prepared, flavorful, and a decent portion size for the 4 of us to share. Given the gorgeous ambiance of the place (which I thought might be their main draw), I was pleasantly surprised at how good their food was. This wasn't the best value place, but prices weren't egregious compared to similar spots. I would come back again to try more of their food options, but wouldn't choose their oyster deal over other options!

They do have an option to go an hour before the show to have brunch from the buffet which isn't bad for a buffet brunch. Only slightly better than most hotel buffet breakfasts. But it is convenient to be seated where you will be for the show and have your brunch before the show starts The show is fun and you may be picked to interact with some performers (especially if you are me who always gets selected at any show like this). Your best option is to go along and have fun. This makes it a better experience for you, those with you and everyone attending ;) Fun dancing, music and shows and even though I'm not reviewing the food options I do have to mention that they bring you water as soon as you sit and that is always one of the first things I look for at restaurants.
