I felt relief when i saw Carla the front desk receptionist was still there. She has been amazing since i started coming here. Always helpful not just to me but anyone that walks in. Now most of us don't like change. And i am truly sad to not see some of those that were once there not there. But i can say even though again just about everyone is new everyone i dealt with was just as amazing! Definitely recommend this Vet office. Also want to point out that even though I absolutely loved Dr. Brogan and miss her tremendously I have to say Dr. Shakar is an awesome vet. Not only has he been helping me the best he can with one of my dogs being sick. He answered all texts while i was in the office on his day off. So he doesn't just go home and say owell on to the next he takes the feelings and wellness of you and your pet home with him. So not only does that make him an amazing vet to me. It shows he cares and that matters so much when taking your fur baby in for no matter what the cause. So again this office has and still been so good to me and i would recommend them to everyone.

I shared their estimate with the other dog's owner, and an employee named Chloe later told me that the owner had already arranged financing through Cherry Pay. When I arrived for the surgery, the staff suddenly demanded full payment upfront and refused to accept the financing their own employee had confirmed. When expressed my confusion and dissatisfaction with their lack of professionalism with the way the situation was being handled, they said I was disrespectful and declined to treat my injured dog and sent us away. Their camera footage would clearly show that I never once yelled, used foul language or disrespected anyone that day or during any previous visits. You can imagine how traumatic and humiliating this situation was for me and my dog. However them sending me away turned out to be for the I wound up taking my dog to AV Veterinary and had a much more pleasant experience there. The staff and the vet, Dr Wright were very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. The best part was that my dog didn't actually need surgery to repair his injuries. In my opinion Boulevard Vet was trying to capitalize by doing a Cherry Eye removal which my dog was born with and was not damaged by the attack.

This most recent time, we took our dog in because we couldn't get an appointment at our regular vet. They had the same day regular appointment. Our dogs face had swollen instantly. We weren't sure if it was a snake bite or a bug bite. Or something with salivary gland. First and foremost, the girl at the desk was quite rude. Not the type of person you would want on your front lines of customer service. They did all the proper steps except for not doing a blood smear test to test for venom. The doctor kept saying this is what she thought it was, but she was not doing the test to see if there was venom. She did do an aspiration test. Which had to get sent out so we waited for that. But unlike most vets who would treat that procedure as surgical and shave the area in which they are extracting from. They just chose to stick the needle in and extract. In the meantime, she recommended overnight hospitalization and doing the anti-venom treatment. The anti-venom treatment is not cheap, plus they wanted to charge us almost $1000 to hold her in a facility overnight, where there was no staff. The specific line item for staff was $500. And there was no one there overnight only one check in at midnight. This is robbery. There are really great options in the area, but this is not it. I've learned from one of the other vets in the area that the number one mission for a veterinarian is to be of service. That is not this place. We see so much price gouging from various businesses like this. There are much better options in terms of customer service, fairness of pricing and treatment recommendations, and professionalism. I went and got a second opinion and then saw my regular vet. It's also nice to work with places who will instantly send you the medical paperwork via email and stay in communication with you via text. You don't get that at pet check engine. I do not recommend.

The first one was a pit we paid $700 for her lumps on her ribs to be tested (not even removed or anything) they said they weren't cancerous or dangerous and she was healthy. Not even a month later she passed away in her sleep. Not only that but the receptionist lady took my moms card from the front desk and after this transaction she had two more unknown transactions. Second dog mini schnauzer we took him in for a check up and shots in August said everything was good. Took him to emergency vet a few days ago he had to be put down due to failing kidneys and possible cancer in his lungs. This could have been caught sooner. My question is what they heck are they doing here if they aren't helping or at-least properly diagnosing. I'm not saying save our dogs from dying but DO YOUR JOB AND DIAGNOSE-PROPERLY!!! Especially after paying so much $$$ RIDICULOUS. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone with a fur baby RIP to our babies Dolly and Jack

Dr Q addresses each of their challenges with kindness and empathy. There are never any suggestions for extravagant treatments. Dr Q explains her plans clearly and how they will benefit my friends. When it is time for them to cross the Rainbow Bridge, Dr Q and the staff are always there for them and me with sweet and kind care. I so appreciate all of these wonderful caregivers! I called around 8:30 a.m. this morning to establish care for my two French Bulldogs and was told that they were accepting new patients but it would be a month out. The receptionist began collecting my information to create patient charts, discussed scheduling appointments for June, and was in the process of preparing the required $40 per pet appointment hold fee when the call was disconnected. When I called back later, a different receptionist informed me that the clinic was not accepting new patients and that I would not be able to establish care there. When I explained that another staff member had literally begun the intake process and was preparing to collect payment for appointments, I was simply told, "I don't know, but we're not taking new patients." The complete lack of communication and consistency was incredibly frustrating. Based on the glowing reviews, I expected a much more professional and organized experience. While I cannot speak to the quality of the veterinary care itself, the customer service and handling of front-office communication left a very poor first impression.

While the circumstances were not good, the service was. She made sure to connect with us. She explained the whole process that the medication would have on his body and gave us plenty of time with him. She also provided a paw print and offered a keychain with his hair in it, no extra charge. I will use her again when the time comes for my next dog if we are still in town.
