As general contractors coming from the PDX area, we're always on the lookout for a good cup of coffee during our workdays--and Big Foot Coffee Roasters turned out to be a true gem. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Flow, the barista, was absolutely amazing--friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about both the pastries and the coffee. It's always refreshing to meet someone who genuinely enjoys what they do, and it shows in the service. She shared that they roast their beans in house, which explains the rich, fresh flavor in every cup. They also sell the beans on site, and there's even a coffee grinder available for customers, which is a thoughtful touch for anyone passing through town. And the pastries? Yummy and perfect alongside the coffee. If you're traveling through Stevenson or working in the area like we were, this place is definitely worth the stop. A bit overpriced but the interior is very cozy and cute. It was $1.25 to get almond milk instead of dairy. But the coffee was tasty!

Located inside the Chevron gas station, this was such an adorable cafe where we picked up a couple drinks on a Sunday morning, an iced tea and iced sasquatch mocha, the chocolate and cherry flavors strong in the latter. This was tasty and definitely unique. They also offered empanadas and a variety of pastries and desserts in their display case, it was hard to resist. By the way, it's almost like a mini bigfoot museum inside. Surrounding the seating area and tables, there are plenty of related decor and art as well as bigfoot artifacts and memorabilia behind glass casing for visitors to view. So-on the sunny and warm day, I was driving on the SR 14 going west. coming into Stevenson. Almost out of gas! I stopped here . What a great surprise to find this cute and delicious coffee roasters. When you walk in, it's very inviting. First thing you see is the wonderful coffee they're making and then a lot of baked goods. Tons of homemade cookies. Pastries. They had a Keylime cheesecake! Wow, waiting for the coffee that I ordered. I noticed they had a breakfast & lunch menu. Really great looking sandwiches. I got one of their cream cheese beautiful croissant. It was so good. Flaky and you could taste the love that went into it. Very homemade. I checked out the menu and I would definitely make the drive back here sometime to enjoy brunch. Even just a tasty coffee and a. bunch of their delicious treats. The dining room was very quaint and comfy. Excellent people that run the small business. They were very nice and welcoming. Big win for the big feets out here- not only was the service person of this not-at-all-a-gas-station-even-though-we-thought-twas-a-chevron a person with a good vibe, so too also as well conjunctively alongside that fact too was the comfort of the eating space (a repurposed vehicle bay!!) The funko-alt music on repeat with a speaker right next to our temple was the cherry-top on top the experience good. Grab one (or eight) of their comfort-inducing palm sized hand pies. I am a big fan of this coffee. I like a drip coffee, black. It is so good that I insisted we come back here on the second day of our vacation to get it again. If you are in the area this coffee is a must. The coffee cake, banana bread, and breakfast sandwiches were also yummy and satisfied our starving children. Four year olds are some of the pickiest, so if they are happy, everyone is happy. Everyone was really nice and they had knives, forks, plates, water etc for our meal. I used to buy coffee at big foot whenever I visited Stevenson. However, as a queer person who is trying to spend money at businesses that support the disenfranchised members of my community, I was disappointed by BFR's recent Facebook post. If you are like me and want to spend money at places that will take a stand against oppression, big foot doesn't seem like the place to go. When I kindly explained that as a queer, community minded person I would be taking my business elsewhere, the owned called me a bully. Big Foot Facebook post from 6/7/25: "Unfortunately, there has been a bit of local drama. We have been directed by a young person to take a stand politically. And I quote, "We won't be a customer if your values do not align with ours". I told this person that ALL are accepted here. Our business is "Switzerland". A safe space for everyone. I told this person to do as she demands would be discrimination. And she can take her business elsewhere. In the more than 10 years we have been open, Not one political sign has ever been displayed. The barista/pastry chef was really nice and we enjoyed chatting with her. Macarons were the highlight of our visit there (rose and lavender)! Great drinks (prickly pear tea and iced chai) and pastries. I'd skip the sausage and egg croissant though--the sausage didn't taste right (not sure if it was vegan or what). Such a cute coffee shop near the Chevron Gas Station! We just finished a hike in Dog Mountain and we needed something to drink. We first thought it was one of those gas station stores but we were delighted to see that it was a cafe! They had so many pastries and cookies, as well as coffees and lemonades. We got the Huckleberry lemonade which was delicious! I love how it tasted like real Huckleberries and did not have an artificial taste. My boyfriend disagreed with me though. He couldn't really taste the huckleberries so be warned! I'd give this place a 4 star because I thought the lemonade was pretty pricey. It was $7 for a large. Maybe it's inflation? Went here thinking it was going to be good based on the reviews, but it was mediocre at best. We got a sausage burrito, an egg and cheese croissant, a dirty chai and hot water. It cost $27. There was no food menu and the baristas didn't know where it was either, but we saw the burrito advertised on the door and looked at the food in the counter. I don't believe any of the pastries are homemade because they are in plastic packaging. They ended up giving me a sausage croissant but they did happily exchange it for the right one. They charged 75 cents for hot water. The burrito was small and mediocre. I didn't realize they had heated up the croissant and I asked about it and got a curt look from the barista. The eating area is ok - it seems kind of like a messy home dining room. The coffee shop is in a gas station and they opened the adjacent garage door while we were in there. It was fine for what it was, but wanted to be honest about this spot since we had high expectations based on the prior reviews. Keep your expectations low! read more

My husband went to get us coffees while we we're staying up at the Lodge and said the baristas were friendly and the location was really nice inside! This is one of 3 coffee shops in the little town - but the only one my husband saw driving down Main Street "the one in the middle" he said... lol! Indoor and outdoor seating. Not sure about restroom (I saw an outhouse) nor did I see a pet friendly sign. But they did have local items to purchase. Super cute little coffee shop inside an old mechanic's building. The barista who served us was super helpful, had great suggestions, was very patient with all of our questions, and made me the best toasted-marshmallow-and-coconut latte that I've had yet. My husband very much enjoyed his funky monkey espresso. Loads of little treats are hiding on the shelves, and there are funny signs to enjoy while you wait. We will definitely be back during our next trip to Stevenson. read more

The coffee was great and their selection of food was impressive...breakfast sandwiches, quiches, pastries... add to that their Italian Sodas, teas and fusions and you have got a lot of options. They no longer carry hemp milk, but there are many syrup flavors to choose from. The coffee was Yumilicious. The owner seems curt, but she does have a lot of wise things to say. The other girl who works there, Vanessa, is the sweetest. Their pastries are good. Very warm seating atmosphere, although they don't want you to "camp" there more than one hour. Bigfoot Coffee Roasters Located in Stevenson, Washington. I stumbled upon this place while visiting the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge for the first time in May 2019. I had a mocha made with Ghirardelli chocolate, which all mocha enthusiasts know is the best way to make one. Not only was my drink excellent, but I loved the decor, which includes a number of direct but humorous postings for the purpose of keeping business running smoothly. Best of all, I discovered that owner Melissa Still is as much of a foodie as I am. She gave me a number of wonderful suggestions restaurants to try along the western side of the Columbia Gorge, as well as one for Portland, Oregon. I travel from Boise, Idaho to Fox Island, Washington twice a year. I usually travel two different routes, coming and going, to keep things interesting and maximize my opportunities for food adventures. In the future, I will be visiting Bigfoot Coffee Roasters at least once each trip. read more

Coffee was good, but not great. People were really nice and it's an interesting ambiance of clutter and clever. Had reasonable offering of pastries and sandwiches. For me a big negative was something was wrong with their machinery and they couldn't heat the pastries. That's a peeve of mine as I go back to places and find out they're still waiting for their toaster oven or microwave to get fixed due to COVID, well I have a spare floating around in my other vehicle. It would take the owner a hours to buy a replacement somewhere down the road. This review is in the context of my experiencing the number one and the number two coffee places in this community. Morning brew with a view! We came here on the way to Gifford Pinchot and had a couple of their drips to go. In the spring/summer, they have an open seating space to drink your coffee and since they are located in the gorge, they have a great view. The only odd thing about the location is that it seems to be part of the Chevron gas station so it's not your typically coffee shop spot. read more

I love supporting local businesses, and this place was a favorite! We randomly pulled up a coffee shop on the gps while heading back to Portland from our hike up Dog Mtn. When we arrived we honestly didn't expect too much since the cafe was part of a gas station, but we needed our caffeine fix! We were so surprised how cute it was once we went in! There was a rustic log cabin feel to the cafe, and a cute seating area too. The owner was so kind and we chatted for a while about the coffee business and the struggles of being a small business owner and it was just a great exchange. She was genuine and so friendly to my friend and I who were traveling from the east coast. We asked for some beans to go, and she gave us a cute little bag of freshly roasted beans.
