We called another company who came out right away and solved the problem for a nominal charge. I complained to this company three different times and got nowhere. I feel truly robbed. I…read morehad Basnett come to my house to give me a price on a VERY simple job, to replace an older discharge pump in the basement that the washing machine discharge flows into. The RETAIL cost of this pump is $340 and is readily available. I was given a cost of over $1400. Absurd. It's the cost of the pump (wholesale) plus 1.5 hours labor TOPS. Of course while he was there, he tried selling me on all these silver, gold, and platinum maintenance plans. I was still charged $129.00 just to be given a ridiculous price with no work performed. But that's the idea isn't it? The customer doesn't want to just flush away $129.00 for nothing so you're bullied into having them do it no matter how obscene the price is. By the way, just two years ago they were charging $69. Apparently that wasn't enough pressure for people.

Marks price was very reasonable, they came out promptly, and all the work they have done for me so far has been excellent without any issues. Mark is very up to date, and he also works with his father who also has a solid experience in traditional techniques so together they are a great balance. They are always fair on pricing and willing to help out when you are really stuck, nobody likes a plumbing emergency! As for the other comment on here I felt that is really unfair, it has nothing to do with their trade and profession! I would hire them any day, he was probably in a rush to get to someone like me!

Do not hire this company for anything complicated! We hired…read moreAndrew to replace a boiler in our 2 pipe steam system in a 90 yr. Old house. He had done other minor plumbing projects for us with which we were happy but this one did not work out as well. It became clear he did not have experience with this type of system and initially did not install the pipes to,the boiler correctly which became apparent after we finally consulted a " senior" plumber who advised him how to redo the piping. After the installation was correct 1/3 of the radiators in the house were not working which had been functional with the old boiler. He was unable to figure out why so we had to hire another company at several thousand dollar cost and it turned out that Andrew had not properly skimmed the oil out of the boiler used to attach some of the pipes which spread throughout the system and this oil clogged radiator steam traps which made the radiators nonfunctional. This added several thousand dollars extra cost and he did not respond to our request to discuss the findings of the senior plumber. He told us he has been in independent business for 5 years but clearly has not encountered all the problems one will find in old houses around this area and did not have the knowledge for this sort of job.
