I'm a repeat customer, so this is my second review of Modern Quality Flooring…read more Danny met me at our new condo in Oak Park right after our closing, and gave us several great options for our new bedroom floors. He took extra effort to give me 4 different estimates for each of the options. While he was measuring the rooms, he also pointed out an electrical outlet issue that I hadn't seen! His team did a fantastic job throughout! They neatly and efficiently removed all the old nasty carpeting, installed the soundproofing layer, the engineered oak flooring, and all the baseboards and thresholds. They were so patient and considerate while I had 2 electricians working on the same day (not exactly ideal, but couldn't be avoided). The most impressive thing to me was their attention to detail and quality work. Even the baseboards were neatly cut to fit around the old radiator covers perfectly. They also do kitchens and other jobs, and I plan to call Danny again for future work.

Danny and his team at Modern Quality Flooring were beyond outstanding, I truly cannot praise them…read moreand their work enough. My fiancé and I tried to refinish our floors ourselves, but after 2 days we quickly realized we needed a professional. We reached out to 4 different companies. Every other company was condescending and poked fun at us for trying to do it ourselves. Danny came out immediately for a consultation, explained the entire process, and emailed me a quote the next day. From start to finish he was kind, soft spoken, took the time to explain every detail and the reasoning behind their process. We immediately wanted to move forward with Modern Quality Flooring. We confirmed with him on a Monday, his team of 3 started Tuesday and were done by Thursday. I am truly blown away at the efficiency and quality of work, such an incredible value and well worth every penny. They replaced some boards due to urine stains from previous owner and you could not even tell where they replaced the boards. They filled in nail spots and areas where the wood boards wouldn't reach our new, thinner base trim. Danny sanded an area to put down 2 stains to show me how the wood would take the stain. It was so great to see a sample of the stain on my actual floors, so there was no guessing in how the finish would turn out. Danny and his team were so kind, respectful, and patient throughout the entire process. If you are questioning getting your floors refinished, look no further. Don't waste any time, just go with Danny and Modern Quality Flooring. I promise you won't be disappointed!!

Two guys handled the work - also great interactions with them. They helped us find a color that we liked. We were mostly happy with the finished floors, but it wasn't perfect. There were a small number of spots that had something bumpy embedded. In the closets, they were sloppy with the corners and didn't put as much care as the more visible parts of the house - it's true that people aren't studying the corners of closets, but we didn't love that. From the very beginning, they were responsive, accommodating, and made the entire process completely stress-free. Chris led the project, and his craftsmanship was outstanding. The new boards blend in perfectly, the stain color is beautiful, and the finish is absolutely flawless. Chris took the time to answer my questions, walk me through the process, and make sure I was happy with every decision. What impressed me even more was the turnaround.
