On August 28th my 17 year daughter had a consultation with stylist Sena to go over an appointment…read morefor a full color of vibrant green. She showed her a picture for an example and she agreed she could do it and the amount of $360 for the appointment. On September 2nd she had her hair appointment and the results were no where near her expectation. She sat in the chair for 5 hours and when she was finished Sena told her "Well you got semi cool hair". My daughter left in tears and stated to me she "never felt uglier". (Fortunately she had a friend fix it for her that night). I called the salon and talked to the manager Morgan asking for a full refund and she would not return to the salon for a correction as it already was redone by her teenage friend with the exact results she wanted. I was also told my child, who is a minor, was asked and signed a waiver for no liability of damage. Parental consent should have been given per Oregon Law. Morgan said that my daughter told her she was 18, (my daughter said she never discussed her age) nor was she asked for ID. I have asked Morgan for the immediate copy of the waiver and still haven't received it. After multiple email, and phones calls, asking to speak to the owner, communication ceased. I went to the salon today and asked to speak to the manager, owner, and stylist Sena. Morgan came to the front desk and I again asked her if I could talk to Sena and the owner, in which she told me the "owner lived out of state and doesn't answer phone calls because she trusts her to run the salon". I asked for a copy of the waiver and she refused and said my daughter needed to come in herself because she was the client. I replied that wouldn't be happening and as her parent I was representing her. Morgan then became aggressive after I told her that I had no choice but to write a bad review and post on social media so this doesn't happen to another client, much less another teen. I also told her I would be filing with Small Claims court to recoup loss of money. At that point Morgan loudly asked me to leave the salon, in which I did without incident. I am yet to talk to the stylist Sena, or owner, Renae Tichenor nor do I have anyway to do so because the email goes directly to Morgan. Not once did Morgan offer an apology or any sympathy. I suggest if you find interest in this salon to go elsewhere. We are highly dissatisfied and my child was left emotionally distraught. I can't say for sure, but I suspect, if you want something more on the complex side of things, you might have better luck elsewhere, but if you want something straightforward from people with a good attitude, this is a great place. Keeping in mind that, unless you catch them during their 4-hour Saturday window, you will have to pay for parking. I got a spot for a dollar an hour, but it is a small factor. Ric was a landscaper for years (if I remember correctly), and I've been asking him about an issue at work. We ended up discussing it through most of my haircut, and afterward he asked that I make sure to tell him how it goes. I said it might be a while before I get back in there, and he said, between the two of us, hopefully one will remember. I like him quite a bit. The first time I walked in there was a man and a woman that knew each other getting a cut at the same time from the two barbers on shift. I would describe the woman's haircut as a flat-top-ish, "gym teacher" type of cut. I could use a lot of other words to describe it.
