Lexxa cut my youngest son's hair. I was nervous because he tends to cry and it's a scene. My youngest RAN and climbed in the chair without any hesitation. Without her, I was starting to resemble a chia pet that someone abandoned mid-project, so I tried House of Fades instead. You'd think a shop with "Fades" in the name would nail a basic skin fade. You would be wrong. My appointment was with Sarah. I asked for a 1.5 on top. What I got was closer to a 1/2 and a foil that climbed well past my ears. I walked out looking like I'd just sworn the oath and been issued a rifle. Semper fi, I guess. I left wearing my hat--something I never do after a cut at Hubbard's--which should tell you everything you need to know. Thank God Kayla is back. Once this grows out, I'm never gambling on a name again. Update - The owner, Hannah had the audacity to text me and condemn me for this review insisting I made it up. See attached photos. Here's the reminder you sent me for the appt and the receipt for the high and tight your barber gave me when I asked for a skin fade. Talk to me about professionalism again.. Please.. FFS.. This whole shop is a joke down to the person who owns it. The best part is she seriously thinks I'd schedule an appointment, pay for a bad haircut just to leave a review. Hey retard - I could've done that for FREE and I'd still have my hair.. #idiot GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

By pure luck, I drove past this place and decided to check it out. Thank goodness I did! I knew I was in a quality place because they carried my brand of pomade. I know, it probably doesn't make sense, put all the shops that I have been to that carry that brand have always given a great cut. It's all probably psychological but I haven't been wrong yet. My barber was Jacob and when I told him I wanted a zero to three fade, he asked me if I was sure I wanted that. I told him that's my regular cut and he gave a sigh of relief explaining that some people request the bald cut and don't realize just how short it is. I told him that it wasn't a problem I knew exactly what I wanted. All I can say is that he did a fantastic job. He took his time and made sure all the lines were straight. I'm a happy camper!

Calling my 10-year-old son an @$$hole is beyond unacceptable--it's unprofessional, offensive, and downright disgusting. Who talks to a child like that?! I don't know how this guy is still in business treating customers this way. A barbershop should be a welcoming place, not somewhere where the owner insults and degrades paying customers and their families. There are plenty of other talented barbers in town who actually respect their clientele. If you care about basic decency and professionalism, avoid this place.

I can't say for sure, but I suspect, if you want something more on the complex side of things, you might have better luck elsewhere, but if you want something straightforward from people with a good attitude, this is a great place. Keeping in mind that, unless you catch them during their 4-hour Saturday window, you will have to pay for parking. I got a spot for a dollar an hour, but it is a small factor. Ric was a landscaper for years (if I remember correctly), and I've been asking him about an issue at work. We ended up discussing it through most of my haircut, and afterward he asked that I make sure to tell him how it goes. I said it might be a while before I get back in there, and he said, between the two of us, hopefully one will remember. I like him quite a bit. The first time I walked in there was a man and a woman that knew each other getting a cut at the same time from the two barbers on shift. I would describe the woman's haircut as a flat-top-ish, "gym teacher" type of cut. I could use a lot of other words to describe it.
