The service is relaxed, but impeccable. It's a tiny space, and it feels like the neighborhood wine bar we all wish we had downstairs from our apartment. Speaking of, the wine, which they understandably pride themselves on, is so, so good. The selection is small, but excellent. My buddy loves his wine, and this is one of those restaurants that helps you understand why. My wife and I had a tough time making choices even on the short menu, but we shared the Dayboat Scallop, the Celery Salad, the Caramelle pasta, the beef tartare, and the Wagyu steak. (I imagine it changes often, so your options may be different when you come in.) Everything was plated beautifully, cooked carefully and well, seasoned properly, and absolutely delicious. The beef tartare was probably my favorite plate, but the celery salad was interesting and bright and wonderful, the scallop presentation was even better than the preparation (also great), and the greens that accompanied the wagyu (gai laan) were as tasty as the steak itself. Truly, the kitchen should be proud of everything they are putting out. All that said, our dinner was delicious, but so much expensive than I think is warranted. This is a neighborhood wine bar serving small plates that is priced like a Michelin-starred destination. In my personal opinion, the space is too casual and spare, the portions too small, and the food not stunning enough to justify the prices paid. Don't get me wrong, I understand that they are within their rights to charge whatever they need to in order to run their business, but I am also within my rights to consider it outside my price range for the offering. They seem like they're doing fine without me, and I will be happy to come back, but I will wait until my aforementioned friend is buying before coming back.

They do a great steak frites & fried chicken sando that I shared w/ three other people. It was great getting to taste everything. They had the orange wine which they loved. I ordered a gimlet, it wasn't the best. That's what happens when your at a wine bar. However, I will not be giving this spot up just b/c of that. I may have been an off night for the bartender. We came in specifically to watch the World Cup Final given the advertised drink specials; unfortunately, however, we were seated near a TV with bad WiFi service, so the game was about 20 minutes delayed from the live broadcast. When we flagged this to management (again -- this is for the World Cup Final), we received a flippant response, noting that there was nothing they could do given the WiFi and the TV's position. When we then asked to move to a table near a TV without the delay, we got a reluctant "we'll see what we can do"; this immediately put us off even further. Keep in mind -- this is after already experiencing roughly a 30 minute delay in receiving our drink and appetizer orders, and being told there were no drink specials for the game despite both their own Instagram story and post advertising otherwise. To the credit of our server, she was incredibly nice and tried to make up for the misunderstanding about the specials and the drinks/apps delay, but by the time we were waiting for our second round of drinks (which never came), we decided to abandon ship and look for another bar to order our mains and continue watching the game. I understand that this is still a newer restaurant and is likely just trying to work out the kinks; however, the lack of service from management specifically was what was particularly disappointing for our group. They do offer good happy hour drink deals as well--though they didn't include some of the more adventurous cocktail options... perhaps I should come back later and try those. The back is charming--calling it a speakeasy or "hidden" cocktail bar is a bit of a stretch, but it is nicely portioned off from the store, and there is a cool outdoor area as well. Staff is super helpful, particularly in the restaurant portion. The provisions/cheese slicing up front can be a little slow moving but again, damn if that cheese isn't worth any kind of wait!
