I purchased a complete vehicle as a parts car in which the seller stated it ran but with occasional…read moretransmission issues. Got the car but battery was beyond dead, more dead than what my little lithium battery powered jump starter could handle. Figured I'd call AAA since I've got the Premier plan so this tow home would be covered. Truck driver arrived 30 min later, and NOPE, apparently this is a "courtesy" tow as opposed to an "emergency" tow, which would NOT be covered since the car was not currently registered or insured. Apparently AAA doesn't do those anymore. I then called a towing company I recall seeing in one of the Facebook groups I'm in, and I'm quoted $190 for a 12 mile tow, but it'll be at least a 3 hour wait. Owner/dispatcher said he'd find out where his drivers are and will let me know. 30 minutes later and I still haven't heard back, and the wife was starting to get hangry. I finally find out that the driver was way out by Tucson and they wouldn't be able to come until 10:30 pm which was 7 hours later. Unfortunately, one of the front windows was open and with a dead battery I couldn't close it, and I just couldn't trust it left open as is until night time. While we were waiting to hear back on the location of the driver my wife found the Tow Guys on Yelp and was already in the middle of messaging Tony, who was very responsive and helpful. After finding out the first company wasn't going to work, my wife got a quote from Tony which was less than half what we were quoted from the first company. Not only that, as soon as we said ok Tony said the driver (Thomas) was en route. We hurried back from where we were about to grab something to eat 10 minutes away and minutes after we get back, Thomas arrives. I've had to get a few vehicles towed in my time (it's what you get when you have a bunch of old finicky German cars) and Thomas is the coolest tow truck driver I've ever met. Like, so cool we could be friends. He brings out this beast of a jump starter to try to jump start it so he could better line up the car. It starts, but the transmission issue pops up and is unable to be put into drive nor neutral. Thomas works his magic and is able to get it into neutral after a few minutes. A quick drive home and he's able to put it exactly where I need it to go. What started as a not so pleasant day turned out to be a great one. Easy and painless, as opposed to most times when you need a tow. I'm so glad the first company wasn't able to do the job so we were able to meet Thomas and we now have a "tow guy" we can trust, and everyone needs a tow guy they can trust! 10/10 would not hesitate to use them again, in fact I am planning on having them assist with future projects already ;)

I am definitely guilty of carelessly leaving my lights on overnight, draining my battery, and waking up to a dead battery before work or class, which is always unexpected and terribly annoying. Unbelievable experience!!! My classic 1947 Chevy was to be towed through my insurance coverage to a…read morelocal shop for muffler work. The driver took my car 10 miles outside of where the location was supposed to be. I reached out as I noticed they were going another route. The driverr assured it was going where it needed to go but had to follow the route provided by the dispatch. I show up to the destination where I was to meet at drop off ,but driver never showed. 30 minutes of waiting and I reached out to driver again and he says he was at the location. I assured him he was not as I was there waiting. Apparently he was at an address where it was similar but not the address. I asked to have brought back to the actual address he was to deliver to ,but he refuses stating the insurance has to request a new dispatch. He stopped answering my calls and I had to drive out to this other address assuming he would have left it there for me to retrieve since he stated he could not go anywhere else with it without an order. I show up to address and my car is no where to be found. I drove up and down the road a few blocks to see if it was nearby, but nothing. I go into the office of the facility he said was the correct address and they guys in office confirmed the driver did show up to drop off but they corrected him on the right location and told him was at wrong address and directed him to the shop I was waiting at. They saw him take off with my car on back. After continue effort to locate my vehicle, the driver messaged me coordinates. I am an elder man and use technology that much and unfamiliar how to use this information or what it means. I had to ask my wife to leave work to help me locate my car. She arrived as i was on phone with my insurance company to get more information on this town company. They stated they had tried contacting this person and company, but no response. They had suggested we start police report and they would reach out to public safety to see if anything had been retrieved. Still nothing. At about 4pm my wife had finally found where the coordinates put my car at, and it was no where close!!! It was 20 mins NW abandoned in a parking lot !!!! When arrived it was relieving to know we found it, but really pissed to see the damages left on our car. My back fender around the wheel was bent and cracked my paint. A front headlight popped out. A unique and scarce metal back chrome badge was missing!!!! Thought that was the most damage done until finally another driver from another company was dispatched to finalize our tow. He brought to our attention that one of our shocks was busted and hanging. Still no response or accountability for this poor service. There will be an official police report for the mishandling and damages to my property.
