When I was shopping yesterday, all I could hear was the tall brunette complaining about another employee not helping customers. I waited at least 5 mins and finally left. The 2 employees working were more interested in their conversation then helping me and another customer. Yes they give you a discount if you have a lanyard but the discount doesn't help if your not able to purchase what you need. I will shop down the street where they do offer help and act like they appreciate your business.

Today I went in and the girl with the bleach split bangs was literally so rude and unhelpful I have no idea what I did to deserve the attitude. I was annoyed that some disposables just stop on you and I was trying to get advice on a new one to try. As a manager at another retail store, this could have been an opportunity to sell me a good one for good money. I ended up with a cheap one to get me by because I wanted out of there. The energy was off. I just hate dread coming here because I never know what experience I'll have.

Rick's shop has a personal touch and cozy feel that I feel is generally really lacking in most places in the tri-cities, and is something I missed from some of the boutique establishments I've chanced upon in my travels all over the united states. Rare places like these are a foothold of culture that differentiates a town from just a concentrated collection of strip malls and pre-fabricated homes. I am not a pipe smoker but notice all the pipe tobacco. Last time I was especially impressed with Johnny. He helped me find the best product (asked questions to figure out what I would and wouldn't want), didn't try to up-sell me anything, gave me the four-star treatment when deciding on flavors, and even went out of his way to show me how to set it all up so it was ready to use before I even left the store.
