The front door was open, the back door was open and there was no air conditioning . There really isn't any place for customers to sit and be comfortable. There was only one employee and he was running the deep fryer and was also running the checkout area. I ordered a four piece all white chicken dinner with Hush puppies for a total of $20. When I got home and opened the box I had one large chicken breast one small chicken breast and two wings. The chicken was cooked and tasty however the breading was soggy and not crisp. I can't say I was overly pleased with the chicken, but the hush puppies were to die for. It was my first time there and I probably won't return. There are too many other fried chicken places that are better.

This fish had a light crispy topping that was not at all greasy. The menu states everything is fried in 100 percent vegetable oil. I was shocked when we got an 8 x 11 pan with six large fillets. A large fry was your standard foam clamshell filled with hot crispy fries. They also have onion rings which I am definitely going to try. When I was reviewing the menu I saw that they have seasoning flavors: lemon pepper, spicy lemon pepper, garlic lemon pepper and ranch lemon pepper. I sense a theme here. I thought regular was perfect. My cousin has had the dark chicken which she said was very good. Like the fish the chicken coating doesn't overwhelm the meat and is similar to an original style instead of extra crispy. The gyro plate is plentiful and flavorful. The pita was large enough to hold the fillings. They have sandwich and meal options including fries. Since the portions are so large I think I think the monster burger and monster gyro plate (5 pitas, the works & family fries) must be HUGE! Desserts are cake, cheesecake, parfait and taffy grapes. I googled taffy grapes and it looks like fresh produce dipped in a candy topping with nuts mixed in. My next meal at Sharkey's will be onion rings and taffy grapes.
