Zero stars!!!!! I was "helped" by the manager. I asked for a tire rotation. I looked online and it said it was free, I have also had it done several times for free by other Big O Tires locations for FREE. They rotate my tires for me and then ask me to pay $17.50. They didn't let me know there would be a charge beforehand and then the manager started raising his voice for me to pay. I refused to pay because of his unprofessional behavior and because online it confirms they provide a free service of rotation. He then yelled "GET OUT OF HERE!". I will never return to that location! What a jerk. Such horrible customer service. I have tons of jeep friends that I will make sure know how horrible this location is and not to buy tires from them. When I lived in Orem back in 2003 I came to this location to get help with my tires. They went above and beyond to help me. I had a tire that went flat and I couldn't get the lug nuts off to put on my spare, I didn't live far from the store and they sent someone over to help me. Now that I'm back living in the area I came here for my emissions test and car registration. My car's computer had reset a couple of days before I tried to get the emissions test and I didn't realize I need more miles on the car before it would have the information it needed. They were very understanding and helpful. Everyone in the store that I talked to was friendly and had good customer service. Since moving back to the area I have noticed that there are a lot of businesses that don't put effort into good customer service, this is not the case with the University Mall Big O Tires' team. I just finished reading a book called Unreasonably Hospitality last week and got to experience the level of service for the first time at your store yesterday. I pulled in with a screw in my rear tire and before I even had a chance to walk in the door Bryan Conrad meet me in the parking lot and asked how he could help. I told him what the issue was, and he took my keys and told me to have a seat inside and it would be taken care of. He walked me through the process and kept me updated along the way. Bottom line within 20 minutes time I was out of there with a brand-new tire on what I thought was going to be a miserable Monday morning. Bryan and the team exhibited everything this book tried to explain taking care of issues before they were even realized by the customer. We cannot thank Danny at Big O Tires enough! We ran over a glass bottle late in the day on a holiday and got a punctured tire--stressful enough, but to make it worse, most places were closed or closing. We called Big O Tires with literally two minutes until closing, fully expecting to be turned away. But Danny didn't even hesitate. He greeted us kindly, took a look at the tire, and got to work. He patched it up quickly and had us back on the road in no time. Professional, friendly service from someone who genuinely cared. Danny went above and beyond, and because of him, our holiday weekend wasn't ruined. We are so incredibly grateful. I was stranded with a flat tire and had a friend bring me in with the tire to have it repaired. I stopped at Discount Tire and was told 45 minutes to an hour--even if my car was on the side of the road and it was 102 degrees outside. I've dealt with Discount for quite a few years and was very disappointed in their service. I drove across the street to Big-O. What a difference! I was told 20 minutes...but my tire had a screw in the sidewall so it was unfixable. They offered me a used tire--something Discount hasn't done for me before--and put it on and had me on my way in less than 10 minutes! And when I told Big-O I was probably needing two new tires in the next month I compared their quote to Discount and it was $30 less. I'm a Big-O convert. These guys are amazing! Especially Chad! I had a problem and came in expecting to sit for hours and be out hundreds of dollars. Chad got me right in, was so friendly, and made sure that our experience was pleasant, quick, and hassle-free. He explained what was going on, answered my questions, and prepared me for best and worse case scenarios (and of course, I was fully counting on the worse case scenario). Even if my car was ok, who wasn't going to take advantage of and rip off a completely car-clueless chick with her kid? So... I rolled in with a three-year old set of 'Big O' snow tires, and they quoted me the same price for a whole new set! (I know, because I had the original invoice in the glove compartment still.) The price included installation and there were no hidden fees or charges, plus they promised to rotate, AND DID, free of charge, last Thursday (which prompted me to write them up here-Now). From all I witnessed in my multiple visits is they are honest, ethical, treat all customers fairly, and give some really decent deals while providing top-quality service and a clean, pleasant consumer experience! I called ahead of time. Asked if I could get FLAT FIXED before closing. They said come on in. I got there 15 minutes before closing. Ten minutes later the flat was fixed. I was thrilled that I didn't need a new tire and that they were so prompt. I went to pay and was told that "this one is on us". They could not have known what a difficult day I had had. I let out a big sigh and thanked Dalton. I have been impressed with this store location for many years. Art and Bob have been the commensurate professionals for as long as I can remember. My cousin and I, who were visiting the Provo/Orem area, discovered a low air pressure light in the car we were using (belonging to the friend I was housesitting for). We stopped into this Big O location and the mechanics were really helpful. They checked all the tires, discovered a leak in one of them, fixed it quickly and in the end did not charge us, which was above and beyond, imho. I would definitely recommend them just for the good service and the friendliness of all of the staff. (They also have a nice waiting room, with popcorn!) read more

I knew I had a nail in my tire, which I bought at this location with the warranty plan, and went to have it fixed. They told me the nail was in a place that can't be fixed and they could not find my name in the system meaning I would have to buy a new tire! I decided to go across the street to see what they think, and they fixed my tire at no charge!! Never will I pay for tires or service at this Big O or any other Big O again and I hope you can learn from my horrible experience!! What a rip off!! read more

I brought my car in for a free break check. They met me outside and asked what I needed help. My brakes were squealing and I'm headed on a road trip today and wanted a last minute check. They pulled my car in right away and did exactly what I asked. The squeaking was fine to a rock stuck between some mechanisms. They pulled out the rock for me and made sure my breaks were in check. I went in for an Emissions and Safety Inspection. Very helpful and were really willing to give me any information I needed. Very generous on price and great service. The fact that they have free popcorn, suckers, water, wi-fi, and seats really helps me feel like they are going an extra mile. Would you pay $7,000 for an oil change??? I did. Because Big O put an aftermarket filter on my car the oil completely drained and blew my engine. I tried to go in and get retribution from Big O and they told me I sabotaged my car. They refused to help me out and now I am $7000 in debt to my mother who spotted me the money for a new engine. read more
