They told me it was the "whatchamahoosit" grinding against the "thingymakoop" and if I wanted it "fixed right" it would run around $800-$1000 but they will throw in free blinker fluid. ^ reasonably accurate description. Decided to get another opinion and thankfully took it to Freyaldenhoven auto. Brought it in at 8am and by 10am had a quote to fix the issue for under $150 parts and labor. Car was fixed and back at my house that afternoon. I have 5 autos and 3 of them for teenagers, every time I've needed work done they've always taken care of me and I know it's for the right price. Would recommend them to anyone who asks.

I had an exceptionally positive experience with Kenny, the owner and mechanic. Kenny seems to be very competent and was a good communicator while my vehicle was in his care. Admittedly, I'm no expert in automotive costs, so after receiving my bill for a replaced front axel I followed up with a man more in the know: he confirmed that I had indeed received a very fair price for the parts and labor. I've taken my car to Austin Bros. in the past, but will probably bring it back to Budget Automotive next time it needs servicing!

Wish this shop was in my neighborhood. Thanks Budget Automotive.

I would have left less than one star for Tracy's Terror Towing but that wasn't an option. Do…read moreyourself a favor and never give your business to Steve's Auto Center. The "owner" is a vile excuse of a human who feeds off of the misfortune of others. Said owner goes out of her way to make someone's horrible day even worse. I was in a near fatal accident, no fault of my own, didn't choose to use this so-called company. I 'm not from this town and knew nothing of the services provided. Owner literally yelled at me after my car had been on their lot for 1 day (After I left the hospital in my home town and contacted the company inquiring on the next steps). Again, I'm not from Conway, nor do I live in Conway but I sure hope this is not how the natives actually treat people in general. Owner did everything in her power to make paying for my tow service and having my totaled car removed more painful than the actual 5-time roll crash itself. She most likely needs Jesus. When you show the owner the same level of respect that she has shown to you while she's hiding behind her phone, but you offer your respect more genuinely in person, she tucks her tail between her legs and hides in her office, sending others out to do her work because I guess she doesn't want to play anymore. This company requires their customers to come in person and pay for the release of their vehicle with cash so she says, (regardless if the customer lives three hours away and attempts to pay over the phone and has scheduled a pick up) when their website clearly states that Steve's accept cards. Probably because they charge $60 a day storage until you can get back to this town in person and pay with cash and be there the exact same time as the tow company removing it from Steve's trashy lot...I suppose it's a plot to make more money and much easier to pocket cash from the price gauging than it is to pocket the credit card slip, huh Trace?! For those following along, my vehicle was on this lot for less than 1 week from the time of incident and I paid $1,167. 00 in cash with the receipt clearly showing the towing fee was $200. That's suspect . If you or a loved one has been bullied by, belittled or taken advantage of by this sham of a company, contact the Arkansas State Tow Board and file a complaint. Also, reach out to the Arkansas State Police in effort to get Steve's contract revoked. Somewhere along the line Tracy became self-important and a bit too big for her britches but YOU AS A CUSTOMER DO HAVE A CHOICE what businesses your money supports. Choose not to support this atrocious scheme. Thank you for your time.

I don't see how they get a 5 star rating because they were absolutely no help at all. I'm sure they don't have any problem crunching the numbers when it's time to bill you. I can not elaborate on the quality of there work and never will. It seems to me like if they are not willing to give you a ballpark estimate then there tring to hide something or something not on the up and up.

Because we all need to keep in mind EVERY shop has right of refusal, especially with unusual, or improperly maintained vehicles. They were polite and direct! I see their prices are normal and they have a ton of repeat customers. Auto repair is not an automatic moneymaker on every car. Even on expensive jobs. Honest. I still think they run a good shop and folks need to keep in mind poor reviews often have quite a backstory that the reviewer never mentions. A shop that won't get into jobs over their head, is a properly managed shop, whether I am disappointed or not.

So when I took my VW in and it was looked at, I was told a spark plug and coil had to be replaced because of carbon build up, ok....autozone checked the code for me and it said nothing about that area, but I said hey they should know better then me right? I'm just a single women who doesn't know that much about cars. So I gave them ALL of my savings I had spent 4 months saving up and THOUGHT I got the issue fixed. Literally the next day, same issue is still happening, car can't idle without check engine light blinking and coming on, it sputters when it's warming up. Autozone had said the code showed the mass air flow valve was faulty, this place NEVER ONCE fixed that issue, they in fact ignored it all together and did what they wanted. At this point, they let me come back and they do the testing for free, and tell me we can replace everything again incase the parts were bad, again they do this for free, BUT here's the kicker. They never actually did another fix and here's how I know they lied to me. My carfax shows EVERY SINGLE TIME I have work done on it, no matter how small, it's on there automatically. My carfax shows the first "fix", but it doesn't show anything else ever being done to it. Hines Service Center, not only didn't fix my issue, they LIED to my face about fixing it a second time, AND they couldn't even give me paperwork on the second "fix" either. In short, I am out 550.00, nothing got fixed, they scammed me because i'm a woman and I can not recommend this place if you are a female driver, thank you.

Upon check out, they gave me a 4-5 page list of services and repairs the vehicle needed. Okay, I appreciated the inspection because there were a couple issues I wasn't aware of. I was pleased enough with the service that we took a second vehicle in, this time with no check-engine light on. They described the repairs they needed to make, which tracked with what we knew. We authorized them and paid. We got the vehicle home with zero problems. The next day, we had the exact same problems we asked them to repair. It was almost as if they did just enough to make sure we could get it home, so we would bring it back in for further repairs. I trusted the AAA rating, never bothering to look at Yelp. Never again. What we experienced is a pattern that you can see from the other low ratings. The AAA rating means nothing.
