Big Mike's Steakhouse Millbrook So our first time at big Mike's steakhouse, we got there 25 minutes early based on the reviews and to to make sure that we could get in. We were the first ones in the restaurant. Attendant went to seat us immediately right by the front and by the heat of the front doors. First table. YOU KNOW - THE WORSE TABLE IN THE RESTAURANT. When I asked if we could get a booth, she huffed and then walked past 8 booths and stuck us in the back booth in the dark. Even though I said I didn't want to sit in a dark hole, She said this is your table threw the menus on the table. Never broke stride and kept on walking. Not to disappoint my wife, we decided to sit down and make the best of it. That was our first mistake. Our server Ashton was very nice and was the only bright spot in this visit. We ordered steaks, as this is a steakhouse and I think combined they were just under $100. A lot of money if you're elderly and disabled. We ordered medium rare steaks, and when they came out, they were both rare but charred on the outside. Ashley came by and asked us if we wanted to re-fire them, but you know once you say yes they burn them to a crisp and it's never any good. They were already burned on the outside a re-fire shouldn't have been necessary. We should've taken her up on it as once these steaks got a little cold they turned into leather and we were unable to eat. Ashton made sure to remind us that she could've refired it, but made no attempt to fix anything. Big Mike's is no different than Outback and Longhorn in Prattville Alabama. Overpriced cheap cuts of meat with cooks who don't care. Management is 100% responsible! Why? Your front of the house attendants were rude, disrespectful and have a bunch of attitude. You notice I didn't say chefs. These cooks just don't care how they send out food. Steaks that are burnt on the outside and rare on the inside. I would ask who is running that kitchen? Don't you have a Chef? The first steaks you sent out are burned and rare. Not medium rare as ordered? No QUALITY CONTROL. You were not even busy and there was nobody there. You made no attempt to get it right. If you're reading this review and you go to that restaurant, shame on you. Management sets the tone, management sets the level of Customer Service and is responsible 100% for leadership, management and customer satisfaction. They FAILED. This is BIG DAVE saying don't eat there. Two stars for server. Everyone else failed Lastly, barely made it home 3 miles away and the wife and I were both running for the toilets. These people are gonna give you food poisoning, they definitely gave us food poisoning. We're guessing uncooked food. read more

Kinsley was an awesome server: very knowledgeable and attentive. My husband enjoyed his meal, although his steak was underdone for what he ordered. I did not really like my meal: mahi mahi and 2 X baked mashed potatoes. I would not go back unless he wants to go and hopefully another fish will be on the menu. read more

Just had a great dinner at Big Mike's Steakhouse in Millbrook. Had the crab claws as my appetizer which were delicious. Very good service and never had to wait long for anything. Lots of friendly smiles, and I believe a manager or two checked in on us. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and I liked the available options for sides. Nice and comfortable atmosphere. The dining area seemed to be very well designed. I will definitely be back. read more

Biggest disappointment I've had at a steak house ever . son ordered the strip rare and I ordered the ribeye medium rare. Both came out well done. Apparently pissed them off when we sent them backbecause the replacements were half gristle and connective tissue. potatoes were way over baked and hard. if I could I'd give them zero stars. when you drop half a hundred dollars on a steak you expect to be prime and right. read more

Arrived at 320 on a Saturday afternoon. They opened at 3:00. We were greeted by nice people. Sat down w/menu. No one ever came and took drink order. 10 minutes later another couple came in on the other side of the room and was given side plates and order drinks. Meanwhile we still hadn't been acknowledged. The baked potato was overly baked, the steak had a burnt taste, the sweet tea had a Smokey flavor. This place was not for us.

The food was amazing. We started with shrimp and crap dip, ordered steak topped with bienville sauce with potato casserole and caesar salad, and ended with bread pudding. Everything we ordered is what made this place so authentic. Not only was the food amazing, but our waiter, Kyle, is what made our night. Started off with waitress putting tea in the coffee maker. The resulting beverage was neither coffee nor tea, but just horrible. Waitress made a fresh pot! Fried mushrooms were ok, but unremarkable. Salads were more like a bowl of shredded cheese with some lettuce. Ribeye was a third fat and gristle, and seemed over tenderized. No bread. Plus, ambiance is closer to Cici's Pizza than an expensive restaurant. And finally, yes, it is way overpriced considering the quality. When we arrived, there was about an hour wait, which was expected. Initial service with the drink order was very good, but it was downhill from there. Even the food arrived, nothing was right, we had to swap loaded potatoes with butter potatoes between ourselves, 3 of the 6 guest were given the wrong steaks, one had the completely wrong side. 3 of the 6 guest ordered steaks cooked medium well, they all had blood dripping out of them. The waitress apologized, took them back to the kitchen and said it would be about 5 minutes. After 10 minutes, she returned, their potatoes had gotten cold, and the rest of us had mostly finished our plates. We ask for the manager to ask the bill be adjusted some for the service we expected at a high end restaurant. Her compromise was that we pay the full amount, then have us a $5.00 gift card if we ever come back. Bottom line, save your time and money, go to Waffle House. read more
