If you pair the already deeply discounted offerings with saving earned through the rewards program (Ollie's Army), you cannot go wrong! We returned within a few days to gather grass seed, bird seeds and an expandable hose. We always receive great service whether we're strolling in 5 minutes before closing (it happened recently) or in the middle of the day.

Meaning...if I don't like hamburgers I'm not going to give a hamburger place a low rating if they seem to make a good burger...my not liking hamburgers isn't their fault....Homegoods seems to be one of those places that involve reduced price, kind of random things in a range of categories. It would likely be great fun with hidden bargains for people who love spending time looking for hidden treasures. I am not one of those people on most days...I need to be able to find what I'm looking for and get on with my day. Unless I'm on vacation, shopping is an item on my to-do list. If you have the time and enjoy the hunt, they do seem to have good quality items here including dishes, linens, towels and even furniture. They have some familiar brands of home products and items were in original packaging and appeared new. I needed some cushions for patio chairs and they did have some but the sizes and colors were not what I needed. They have shopping carts, but many aisles are too narrow for them. I think I'd likely only come back if I wasn't looking for anything in particular and was in the mood to just browse for random items. Again though, if you love just browsing, you'll probably have fun here!

Then I made a comment about how bad it was on social media and someone said, "oh I've had a dollar store job, so I get it." Then that is when I had to make the remark that all the employees at the Family Dollar in Fountain Square are actually quite lovely. Then some other people kicked into the conversation and agreed with me. The people in this store are helpful, like to crack the occasional joke with the customers and generally don't seem completely miserable, which I think is important. Anytime we have a party, this Family Dollar has been to the rescue because we are always needing something last minute. A lot of our party themes have actually come from here because they have an aisle of some fun knick-knacks that will add any great vibe you need. For a place like Fountain Square that is missing some of these key places that we need like a complete grocery store (although I do love Wildwood) and those one-stop shop box stores, I think this Family Dollar suffices.

I'm one of those people who cannot have decorative things in their home that have words on them, because I will repeat the words or phrases in my head over and over whenever I see them. So, no Live-Laugh-Love or Bless This Mess signs for me. However, if you're a word-sign person, you will definitely find things like that here. You will also find things like toys, rugs, stationery, fancy snacks, ottomans, laundry detergent, wallets, makeup, holiday decor and lots more. This place is like if Home Goods, Ollie's and Dollar Tree had a three-way tryst that produced a child. That child would be named Gaskin. This is the kind of store where you don't visit to find a specific thing, because they might have it, and they might not. No, you need to go in with a pure heart and an open mind. It's best to just browse and be surprised. Oh! I didn't know I needed this stackable pantry shelf. Oh! What a good price on L'Oreal Elvive Hydrating Shampoo. Oh! My kids would really appreciate these Squishmallows for Christmas. One was busy playing with a baby across the store. It takes just a few seconds for someone to speak and ask if I needed help with anything. It wasnt worth me getting content in the store. I'm not sure if my kind even belong in this establishment but please believe, I wont be back. This sucks because I love supporting local businesses. Even though this location is busy, I do not think it is quite as busy as other locations. Probably the reason why they have a better selection. I would like to see the drive up staff be more friendly. I've had them walk up to my car and not even say a word. After putting the items in my car, I've also had them not say thank you or even acknowledge you. The inside staff is quite different. The ladies at the register are very nice! It's just a corner with a bunch of bags on shelves. You kind of have to stand there in front of all the bags until someone notices you. There was a lot of trash in the parking lot (I pick up trash frequently, so I always notice these things), but fortunately, that didn't extend to the inside of the store. This Target is well organized and clean. It's a pleasant Target to walk around in.
