I was greeted just after I entered, it was a very friendly greeting and I had a bit of conversation with the gentleman, I'm assuming the store manager. I went in solely with the intention of checking it out and from what I saw I'd definitely go back.

The shop is small, but makes the most of its space with displays and wall hangings of fashionable athletic wear. There is a small office with a cutout window that the shop owner, Shelly, can welcome customers. After just a few minutes of shopping, it was clear that Shelly has a real passion and knowledge of her products and the customers she hopes to serve. My wife kept finding items she liked and Shelly was able to tell her whether the brand ran large or small, was able to show other pieces that would coordinate with the piece, and some other products/accessories that might be useful. One of the cool options is that she has a customer list that you can sign up for online to periodically receive gift boxes selected for you based upon the profile you provide. You have the option to select frequency, dollar limits, piece limits, etc. You keep what you like and pay only for those and send the undesired pieces back. You can stop by anytime to meet with Shelly to fine tune your choices. Some folks even do this as a gift option for friends/relatives. One more thing: They do have a small selection Matilda Jane children's clothing that you can browse inside the shop. If you want to find quality clothing for your athletic endeavors that will easily transition to stylish wear "on the go", stop by and check this out! Review #2199

I had promised my child she could get her second set of ear piercings for her birthday. We made an evening of it and she was so excited. Her first piercings, we went to a place that used gold earrings and single use, spring loaded "guns." It went perfectly and the healing process was quick with no issues. Same experience when I took her little sister there a month later. I regret that I let the opinions of others sway me into thinking I had chosen wrong. I wish I had just taken her back to the first place we used. We were not greeted when we walked in. The woman at the register was extremely rude when approached and clearly annoyed to be taken away from her phone long enough to engage with us or answer questions. I chose to try Rowan because they boast piercings are done by an RN. While the piercer was kind and took care of her with compassion and swiftness, I'm horrified of the after effects we've dealt with from her using the single use guns that are NOT spring loaded. The earrings are essentially just forced thru the ear lobes by the pressure from the piercers hand. My child immediately began crying after the first one and had a hard time committing to going thru with the other ear, because of the pain. All night, she complained about the pain. She wants to ultimately have 3-4 lobe piercings because she likes the look of multiple earrings. Immediately after leaving, she said next year she wants to go back to the first place that used the spring loaded guns. She said the pain with guns that Rowan uses was "too much." In the middle of the night, she woke me, crying and insisting I needed to take one of the earrings out. I was mortified when I took her into the bathroom and saw her ears. The one was so swollen that it was starting to puff out around the earring. It had to be removed. I took her to her pediatrician in the morning, concerned, because the other ear was also quite swollen. I also wanted to be sure there was no infection in the lobe that we had removed the earring from. Thankfully it was fine, and she told me to continue with care and monitor the one remaining piercing and remove the earring if the swelling worsened. She also said she would never recommend anyone get their ears pierced in the manner that Rowan in using. It causes more trauma than the single use spring loaded guns. Her own pediatrician was shocked to learn about Rowans practices and that they're using the guise of RNs to make this seem like a safer alternative. I ended up paying $150 at Rowan for earrings that are not gold, and ended up with only one piercing and a traumatic experience for my child. Versus paying $120 and receiving gold earrings, 2 perfect piercings and an exciting experience. Rowan also asks you to tip your piercer.

Warring though, if you are going on budget, I got 14k gold earring and it was $183 for the whole service, and after taxes and with tip. A woman-owned…read morestore, The Urban Hippie in Indy is owned by the niece of the Fort Wayne store and is nestled in between Root & Bone and Scarlet Lane at 46th & College. I was impressed that the store has a nice concrete ramp leading into its entrance. The glass doorway is fairly easy to open and the floor layout is generally quite wheelchair friendly throughout. The Urban Hippie is a boutique store focused on comfy women's wear including dresses/jumpers, tops, bottoms, loungewear, outerwear, clothing for curvier women, and intimates. They're also known to have sales. While the clothing is focused on women, there are a handful of other items including candles, incense, journals, and peace-related items that make sense in a shop devoted to The Urban Hippie. The store itself is rather small with a couple dressing rooms and a fairly basic open concept. It's warm and the clothing appears to be stylish, comfortable, and respectful of different-sized women. One major reason for knocking off a star (other than the fact that there wasn't really anything for me to buy other than candles/incense and I did find the prices a tad high - for example, $12 incense) - I was never actually greeted. While the employee did look at me with a quiet acknowledgement there was never a word spoken (and I was initially the only customer, though a second did walk in while I was there). I think if you're going to go with a hippie theme, a certain level of kindness, especially since you have kindness bumper stickers, is to be expected. I'd actually contemplated buying a candle, but the lack of connection didn't really bond me to the place. Overall, however, I like this store and I'd easily return when in the area. Since it's primarily focused on clothing for women, it certainly won't be a destination spot for me but I'm a sucker for peace-related items and would return to check out for any new items related to the peace theme that dominates my own house. A welcome addition to the SoBro area, The Urban Hippie makes for a great stop in an improving corner that has Scarlet Lane, Root & Bone, and a re-opened Next Door Eatery. The Red Line stops right at the corner, as well!

The shop is located in the heart of Zionsville on the west side of Main Street. They carry a nice selection of costume jewelry priced reasonable. There were lots of cute mittens and gloves out for the winter season. They carry some lovely woven soft scarves and sweaters. All would make nice gifts if you are looking for something special. There is a room to try-on clothes in the back. They were crowded on our visit so no one helped us and we were left to explore, which is what we wanted. My daughter really liked the jewelry. The shop is decorated with trendy vintage furniture and decor. I was not sure if those items were for sale or just for display. Towards the end of our visit, a clerk asked if we needed help. She was friendly and told us about the shop. They do a nice job of packaging your purchases in colorful tissue paper. There is street parking if you are early or lucky. Parking is a bear downtown Zionsville these days. Worth a visit. I may go back today and get that necklace for my daughter as a surprise.

Hi my name is Jon,…read more I am posting this to help you as a business owner. My goal is to help make Zionsville the most accessible town in America. With everyone's help we can make it happen. I will present an issue that you can fix or leave. I have given you 5 stars for being smart enough to do business in Zionsville. If you fix this issue these stars remain as is. The other day I was using the back street of Main Street businesses. The one where deliveries are made and lots of double parking takes place. Exactly, that street. I was stroling along in my wheelchair when I barely could pass by a green recycling toter. The next day two side by side partially block the sidewalk. Please understand I know you had no idea about this issue. Hence why I am not angry or anything. Just trying to help. The solution to this is free in this case. Just around the corner from these bins is a much wider section of sidewalk. Since the design leaves a vast section of pretty much unused sidewalk that can't be expected to be usable for pedestrians. You can move these bins just around the corner. Maybe adding 5 or 10 extra steps. Zero cost to you. This next part is informational only. The ADA can fine from $75,000 up to $300,000 even on a first time violation. To make things worse if someone was not being nice they could sue you. Typically these end our of court for about $40,000 to $100,000. As if that wasn't enough the town could fine you for misuse of a public sidewalk and fine you per day these bins have been on public property. I used to own my own small businesses before being disabled. I am only sharing information here. Since the bins are for business use, they must remain on business property at all times. But, where does a business place them? Inside for many. Only to be outside on pickup day. Then brought back inside. Why? Because you pay separate business taxes from the public sidewalk taxes. In this case the very nature or shape the buildings naturally make provide a place for these bins. And, while still on public sidewalk it can't reasonably be expected to be used. So, we have a wonderful opportunity to resolve this. I will provide images showing the spot interferes with easy passage. And, one showing the spot you can relocate them to at no cost. If you see me in the village or around don't hesitate to say hi. How you know it is me: I usually where a sun hat shiny on top, and most of the time I have a large bluetooth speaker on my lap. I am very approachable, easy going, and chatty. I am working on that, but nicely being direct helps. ADHD can be both creative and annoying to myself as well as anyone else. So far 100% of all businesses I have shared things like this with have been amazing. Cobblestone, Noah Grant's and yours as well. Not only that the others are also wheelchair accessible. I have not checked if you are yet. My FB is Jon Holt-Revels if you have questions.
